When Corgi first mentioned Wanze, he was travelling from Water 7 to Enies Lobby, where he was the head waiter. A Marine soldier came up to him and told him that there was trouble on the train, but Wanze told him to shut up because he was having problems of his own. Wanze was seen skating across the kitchen with a food trolley and his skates as Sanji, Sogeking, and Franky invaded the train and got into his car.
Wanze said they would have to pass through him first rather than let them pass ahead of him. Wanze was astonished and left stunned when Franky fired an explosive shot at him; however, the three became angry at Wanze's odd expression and response. Wanze also avoided Sanji's attempt to kick him. Sanji confronted Wanze, asking him to let Franky and Sogeking go on. Although they were able to avoid the noodle projectiles Wanze used a Ramen Beam. Once again, Sanji attacked Wanze, which let Sogeking and Franky getaway.
Wanze kicked at Sanji with his roller skates on fire, but Sanji was able to deflect the blow and kicked Wanze twelve times instead. Before Wanze made a battle suit out of ramen, he and Sanji traded insults because Sanji was angry with him for his food waste as he boasted about this tactic. Wanze trapped Sanji in his ramen fists, which allowed him to overpower him. Sanji attempted to hit his exposed head, but Wanze stopped him with a Ramen Beam.
Wanze claimed to have discovered Sanji's fighting technique and sent multiple waves of ramen at him, but Sanji retaliated by taking out two knives and slicing through the ramen. Sanji got ready to show his culinary skills to Wanze since he was able to use kitchen utensils as a weapon against him.
Wanze was determined to complete his mission, so he kicked at Sanji with his ramen legs after Sanji severed his ramen arms. But Sanji cut the legs cleanly into small pieces, and in desperation, Wanze used Ramen Beam again, only for Sanji to cut the rest of his suit into multiple pieces.
When Wanze questioned Sanji's intentions for saving Nico Robin, Sanji became even angrier and used Parage Shoot on him, turning his face into a bishōnen. Wanze took out a big knife that was dipped in poison and lunged forward, determined to stop Sanji from moving through the train. But Sanji kicked him across the torso multiple times, causing him to crash into the fifth car containing the CP9 agents and collapse into unconsciousness in the aisle.
In Gran Tesoro, Wanze was seen asking a woman to marry him on a Ferris wheel. But just then, a turtle car carrying Monkey D. Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper sped by their capsule, frightening Wanze so much that he threw the flowers he was holding in his arms in the path of his sweetheart.
Wanze is loud, annoying, and irritating. He usually behaves unpredictably or wildly, making his opponents underestimate him and his power. As a master of Ramen Kenpo, Wanze also shows confidence in his fighting style and shows it to his enemies when he states that CP9 selected him. He can be a little short-tempered and a little dense, though. In addition, he unexpectedly gets lightheaded when he sees spirals.
One of Wanze's most distinguishing characteristics is his firm expression, which frequently irritates and provokes his enemies even when he pretends to be afraid. Wanze promotes Absolute Justice and is inherently biased against criminals who pose a threat to the World Government and Cypher Pol, regardless of their moral character, due to his loyalty to them.
Wanze's smile never goes away, even when he is scared or angry. He has spiral patterns on his cheek, white, fluffy hair, buck teeth, and eyes that extend out of his skin and eyelids. Wanze wears roller skates, a yellow scarf, black trousers with an orange belt, and an unbuttoned black shirt that exposes his chest. His jacket has "MAD" printed on the back. He also wears a white chef's jacket.
Wanze is CP7's expert in close-range combat, and his abilities provide additional security for CP9. After fighting with Sanji for some time, he could identify his weakness, showing his intelligence. Wanze is also a chef known for creating ramen completely from his own body. He does this by eating flour, kneading the dough in his mouth, and then using the hairs on his nose, which resemble fishnets, to cut the dough into noodles.
He mostly uses his skill at making ramen as an element of his own fighting technique, known as Ramen Kenpo. Wanze can manipulate his homemade ramen in battle in a variety of ways, such as launching noodles out of his nose quickly or kneading it into a battle suit.
Wanze uses multiple bladed weapons alongside his Ramen Kenpo. Furthermore, he has a pair of roller skates with circular blades for wheels, which improve his kicks and cause friction to catch fire. In addition, he carries a big poisoned knife.
