Despite being hit by the Jurors' massive iron balls, Gomorrah gets back up and continues to march. However, one of the attacks hit his head, damaging his retinas and blinding him. Chopper informs everyone that Gomorrah promised Sodom that he would bring them to the courtyard.
He's also motivated to assist the Straw Hats and Franky Family in rescuing Franky. Even though he smashed into buildings along the way and collapsed in the end, Gomorrah fulfilled his promise. Meanwhile, the Marines sounded the alarm and alerted everyone that the intruders had made it to the Courthouse Plaza.
Spandam discovers that his transponder snail has been disconnected and that there is an emergency in Enies Lobby. As Spandam connects with the agent on the other end, he is startled to learn that the Straw Hats and other intruders have reached the Courthouse Plaza.
Oimo and Kashii have defected as a result of Sogeking, also known as Sniper King, revealing Dorry and Brogy were never captured by the Marines and are instead currently crossing the main island, leaving a trail of carnage in their wake. To this point, the total number of casualties has surpassed 2000. Over half of that were because of Luffy and they lost track of him once he rocketed himself toward the Courthouse.
Another Juror's ball is thrown their way as the Franky Family and the remaining Straw Hats decide what to do next. Following the chain, Sanji locates and defeats three of the Jurors. Zoro, meantime, opens a doorway inside the courthouse by cutting a portion of the doorway and everyone gathers in formation as foes close in.
The Frankly Family divided into three teams after recalling what Kokoro had told them. While Zambai leads the rest of the group into the Courthouse to support the Straw Hats, Mozu and Kiwi lead two groups in the direction of the towers.
It was the worst day in Enies Lobby's history because no one had ever penetrated it to such an extent, which causes Spandam to begin panicking. While Luffy is down a hole and out of sight, the Spandam rushes to the front window to look outside and sees Blueno atop the Courthouse as he tries to figure out what is going on. Luffy soon makes his way back out of the hole after briefly being disoriented after having his face turned into a door.
Blueno picks up his attack again, but Luffy keeps up the pursuit despite Blueno's Soru (also known as Shave), avoids a Shigan (also known as Finger Pistol), and is able to deflect a Rankyaku (also known as Tempest Kick) away from Blueno. Luffy then says that he cannot finish the fight in his current condition. He explains that he needed to find a way to be more powerful to protect his friends, and he reveals a new method he devised to boost his abilities one step higher.
As the episode concluded, he then activated this new power and referred to it as Gear 2.
A. Luffy used his Gear 4: Boundman (aka Bounceman) for the first time in episode 726 of the One Piece anime in his battle against Donquixote Doflamingo, the Heavenly Demon.
A. Although Luffy used Third Gear to destroy the metal door of the underground tunnel at Enies Lobby, Gear 3 made its first visual appearance in episode 304 of the One Piece anime, titled “If I Can’t Win, I Can’t Protect Anyone! Gear 3 Activates” in his battle against Rob Lucci, a member of CP9 at the time.
