Rear Admiral Strawberry reported to Vice Admiral Borsalino that Rear Admiral Kadar's ship was sunk during the Sun Pirates' havoc in the seas. Later, Strawberry led Marines to ambush Fisher Tiger on Foolshout Island when they received a tip about the Sun Pirates returning Koala.
Jinbe and the Sun Pirates intervened, freeing Fisher Tiger, who was grievously wounded and later died. After Jinbe became the new captain, Strawberry, now bandaged from his battle with Jinbe, informed Marine superiors about Jinbe and his strength at Marineford.
Strawberry, alongside fellow Marines Onigumo, Doberman, Yamakaji, and Momonga, was summoned by Vice Admiral John Giant to carry out the Buster Call on Enies Lobby, mistakenly invoked by Spandam. Strawberry's ships reached the island's entrance, where they controlled the situation, verifying and boarding Marines and World Government agents while preventing escape attempts.
After the bombardment, the ships regrouped at the Bridge of Hesitation. Strawberry was surprised to find survivors, including Oimo, Kashii, Galley-La Company shipwrights, and the Franky Family. Despite the chaos, the Marines couldn't capture Nico Robin and eliminate Monkey D. Luffy, leading to Enies Lobby's destruction.
Strawberry responded to the call for troops at Marineford and joined the other vice admirals in facing the attack from Whitebeard's division commanders. When the pirates lost their ships in the bay, Strawberry ordered the troops to open fire on them, considering them easy targets.
Later, when Luffy attempted to free Ace, Strawberry gave another order to open fire on the two pirates. Upon the arrival of the Blackbeard Pirates, he was shocked to see Marshall D. Teach's new crewmates, especially Sanjuan Wolf, whose immense size he recognized.
At the Levely, Strawberry joined his fellow vice admirals and Hina for a meal at Red Port after the Marines intercepted a communication between Kaido and Big Mom about Luffy. During this, Gion scolded Garp for his apparent lack of concern.
Strawberry tends to adhere to a sense of moral justice, as seen when he prioritizes saving the people on Enies Lobby before launching an attack. However, he appears less sympathetic when it comes to World Noble slaves, viewing them as property and fulfilling his duty without showing compassion.
Strawberry has a straight body shape with a long beard, often seen with his eyes closed or half-closed. His distinctive feature is his abnormally long bearskin Marine uniform cap. Like other high-ranking Marines, he drapes a standard Marine coat over his shoulders.
Underneath, he wears a water-green jacket with pale yellow rope-like ornaments on the chest and matching pants.
As a Marine vice admiral, Strawberry can command a Buster Call with other vice admirals and has authority over lower-ranking subordinates.
