One Piece is a fan-favorite manga series and anime written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It is one, if not the longest-running manga series and anime to date. One Piece made its anime premiere on 20 October 1999 on Fuji TV under Tori Animations production. As of August 2022, One Piece has blessed its fans with 1030+ episodes and weekly new episodes.
One Piece follows the story of Monkey D. Luffy, who became a pirate and embarked on a journey to find the One Piece after he was inspired by his childhood hero, Red-Haired Shanks, who later turned out to be one of the Four Emperors in the New World. Luffy and his pirate crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, sail through the Grand Line, each with a goal of their own, to find the legendary One Piece. Although they each have their individual dream, the crew share a common goal - to help fulfill Luffy’s dream of becoming the next King of the Pirates.
The 1030+ episodes that have aired so far are divided into 20 seasons with 20 different story arcs. The current season of One Piece, season 20, is by far the longest season of the anime with 139 episodes and still counting as of August 2022.

Although Luffy and his crew have overcome numerous roadblocks and have performed multiple feats while leaving their mark on the world, they still have to endure much more and have a ways to go before they can be recognized as the strongest pirate crew, and Luffy can be recognized as the next King of the Pirates.
