Bon Clay was born in East Blue and he ate the Mane Mane fruit when he was around 12 years old. Later on when he grew up, he was recruited to join Baroque Works and carried out lots of tasks for them. One of these tasks was getting close and imprinting the face of Cobra, the king of Alabasta.
When they were on their way to Alabasta, the Straw Hats crew met Bon Clay. His behavior amused Luffy, Chopper and Usopp; they thought he was quite entertaining. He then told them that he ate the Mane Mane devil fruit which allows him to make an exact copy of anyone and showed off his technique. When Bon Clay's crew found him, he bid the Straw Hats goodbye. As he was leaving, the Straw Hats were surprised to know that he was a part of Baroque works when his crew addressed him with the Baroque Works codename.
Later on when the Straw Hats and the Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops went to Alunarna, Bon Clay chased them. He went after Usopp and Matsuge and defeated them easily. After that, he transformed into Usopp to trick Vivi but thanks to the plan that the Straw Hats had come up with to not be fooled by his powers, Vivi figured out that he wasn't the real Usopp and she ran away with Karoo. Bon Clay went after them but just as he was catching up with them, Sanji arrived and intercepted them. Bon Clay and Sanji had very intense fights. Even though they were on par in strength, Sanji eventually managed to defeat Bon Clay. After defeating him, Sanji took back Usopp's goggles with him.
When the Straw Hats were leaving Alabasta after defeating Crocodile, Bon Clay called them on a Den Den Mushi and told Luffy that they had hidden the Going Merry so that the Marines wouldn't find it. He also told Luffy that he did this because he considered them friends and he was no longer part of Baroque Works and wanted their friendship to continue. As the crew was on the sea again, Luffy said that he wouldn't ever forget Bon Clay and his crew.
Bon Clay has superhuman-like physical prowess. He is quite agile and matches up to the speed of Sanji. He can do a large variety of acrobatic flips, twists, somersaults, and cartwheels which also include him doing ballet rotations at high speed to increase momentum which enhances his power. Due to his proficiency in acrobatics, he can evade attacks quite easily. His kicks are quite strong and can cause severe damage too and the aftershock of this attack leaves the ground below him in pieces.
He also possesses a large amount of stamina and endurance and can easily recover from attacks. This can be seen when he was able to keep up with Karoo (Vivi's duck). Even when he was put in Impel Down, he kept singing and dancing and didn't lose his energy and passion. He could stand and endure the extreme weather conditions that were in Impel Down.
He is extremely exceptional at deception and tricking others. These techniques help him to escape from his opponents easily. He used his deception techniques to infiltrate Alabasta and escape the high security of Impel Down. He has a strong caution for extreme danger and deduces what his strategy would be before he goes off for a fight.
Bon Clay has the Mane Mane devil fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil fruit that allows him to transform into a physical copy of anyone whose face he has touched with his right hand. He transforms himself by touching his face with his right hand and changes back to normal when he touches his face with his left hand.
This devil fruit allows him to become a master of deception. He doesn't just duplicate faces but he can memorize the people he has touched so well that he can even duplicate their voices and stature. He can also mix and match the faces that he has in his collection.
Okama Kenpo is a unique dance-type martial fight style that Bon Clay made for himself. This technique has a combination of forceful and acrobatic kicks and punches with ballet dancing. He can also use a huge range of powerful kicks for offense purposes and his dance moves for evasion. This allows him to fight off a lot of enemies at once.
If I were to tell you... I am here to fulfill the final wish of my lost comrade... would you laugh at me, hmmm?!
