Summary of the Episode

The Rolling Pirates and the Straw Hat Pirates are both knocked out by Kuma's Ursus Shock's terrible potency. Kuma then uses this opportunity to try to apprehend Luffy, who is still exhausted from his earlier battle with Moria. But just as Kuma is about to take up Luffy, Zoro suddenly attacks him and lashes out with his Ittoryu Iai: Shishi Sonson technique.

Kuma is hurt by this strike, but Zoro is horrified to witness that is a modified human weapon with enhanced capabilities, thanks to the installed cybernetic parts in his body. When Zoro remarks that Kuma is a cyborg like Franky, Kuma fires a laser from his mouth that misses Zoro directly but sends him flying thanks to the shockwave.

Zoro is taken aback when he sees Kuma can fire a laser from his mouth, and Kuma explains that he is a Pacifista. He goes on to claim that he was developed by the infamous Dr. Vegapunk and that a Pacifista is a creation made to serve the World Government. In response, Zoro claims that Kuma has a significant edge because he is a Pacifista with Devil Fruit abilities. Zoro also claims that his body has given up on him, yet he nevertheless offers his own life to Kuma in exchange for keeping his captain's head.

Zoro claims that while his bounty may not be as huge as Luffy's, he will become the greatest swordsman in the world one day which will call for a huge bounty on his head. Zoro then states that he will give up on his dream and will gladly sacrifice himself in exchange for Luffy's head.

Kuma is taken aback as he watches Zoro willingly give up his life and his dream in order to fulfill his captain's ambition. Sanji suddenly stands up and offers his life in exchange but he is nonetheless knocked out by Zoro. Kuma agrees to Zoro's request.

After picking up Luffy, Kuma tells Zoro that he will spare Luffy, but only after Zoro takes the place of Luffy and goes through all the suffering he has gone through while on Thriller Bark. Kuma then uses his abilities to expel all of Luffy's suffering into a big, red lump of air. Considering how close to death Zoro is, Kuma claims that if Zoro truly wants to take Luffy's place, he must endure all of Luffy's suffering and will die as a result.

Kuma delivers a sample to Zoro, who is in excruciating pain as a result of that small sample. Zoro stumbles to the floor but just about manages to get back up. Then Zoro plunges his arms into the enormous mound of agony. Then, Kuma remarks that Dragon has a good son who has managed to gain such great and loyal friends.

Later, everyone regained consciousness, including the Straw Hats and the Rolling Pirates. Franky is taken aback by how nicely Luffy is acting, and Luffy claims that his body feels brand-new. The other Straw Hats wonder why Luffy is in such good shape after everything he went through. Realizing what might have happened, Sanji bolts off in the direction of Zoro.

When Sanji gets to Zoro, he asks what happened to the Warlord but discovers that there is blood all over. Sanji asks Zoro what happened to which Zoro, who is covered in blood all over from head to toe, simply responds "Nothing Happened" while standing tall.
