Forty-seven years ago, "Demon Lady" Charlotte Amande was born as the second child of a snakeneck man and Charlotte Linlin, also known as Big Mom. She is part of a sororal quadruplet set, with her sisters Mondée preceding her and Hachée and Effilée following her.

Whole Cake Island Arc

Three days before the wedding between Charlotte Pudding and Sanji, Big Mom assigned Amande the task of gathering eggs for the wedding cake. She was sent to an island adorned with enormous eggs, and by ruthlessly eliminating the knights guarding them, she successfully obtained the eggs.

Two days later, Amande arrived on Whole Cake Island. Following Monkey D. Luffy's victory over Sweet Commander Charlotte Cracker, she led an army toward Luffy's location and engaged him in battle. During the fight, Amande punished the homie Kingbaum, who had been serving the Straw Hat Pirates, by gruesomely bisecting him vertically, prolonging his death.

After eliminating Kingbaum, Amande discovered Nami's Vivre Card, which turned out to be from Lola. The army then returned to Sweet City, taking the captive Straw Hat Pirates along. At a subsequent meeting, Amande participated in discussions regarding the status of the Sanji Retrieval Team and the Vinsmoke Family.

She also attended Big Mom's Tea Party and the wedding ceremony between Pudding and Sanji. Amidst the chaos caused by Luffy at the wedding venue, Amande witnessed Jinbe officially resigning from the Big Mom Pirates.

While the Straw Hat and Fire Tank Pirates sought refuge within Bege's fortress following their failed assassination attempt on Big Mom, Amande commented that if the fortress were destroyed, everyone inside would be ejected.

As Big Mom attacked the fortress, the Big Mom Pirates prepared to attack anyone who attempted to flee. Just as Luffy's group, Bege's crew, and the Vinsmoke family faced defeat at the hands of the Big Mom Pirates, the Tamatebako dropped to the base of the Whole Cake Chateau and exploded, causing the castle to collapse. Amande fell with the collapsing castle, but the Big Mom Pirates were saved when Streusen used his abilities to transform the falling structure into the cake.

During the Straw Hat Pirates' preparations to escape from Whole Cake Island, Amande's Tarteship was among the fleet of Tarteships surrounding the Thousand Sunny. She observed the Thousand Sunny utilizing a Coup De Burst to take flight and promptly reported the ship's escape.

Later, Amande ventured to Nuts Island in an attempt to dissuade Big Mom from destroying the island. To her surprise, she encountered Luffy, who had just emerged from the Mirro-World with Brûlée. As Big Mom began pursuing Luffy, Amande attempted to attack him, but he skillfully evaded her strike.

After Big Mom left Nuts Island in ruins, Amande remained there, listening as the island's citizens questioned their way of life under Big Mom's claimed "protection."

Wano Country Arc

When Big Mom and her crew tried to infiltrate Wano Country, Amande accompanied them on the Queen Mama Chanter as they attempted to ascend the waterfall into the country. However, before reaching the top, the ship was attacked by King, causing it to plunge off the waterfall, and Big Mom fell into the sea.

Charlotte Amande’s Personality

Amande is characterized as a stoic and cold individual, consistently maintaining a reserved and quiet demeanor. She rarely displays any emotions, but she can be verbally expressive when necessary.

Her loyalty to her mother, Big Mom, is unwavering, and she carries out any assigned mission without hesitation, even if it involves killing enemies. Amande exhibits a high level of ruthlessness and sadism. She believes that killing an opponent instantly holds no value and prefers to slice her foes at the most excruciatingly slow and painful speeds possible.

This sadistic nature was evident when she sliced through Kingbaum, deliberately prolonging his death to ensure maximum suffering, despite his attempts to explain his powerlessness against the Straw Hat Pirates. While Amande appears ruthless, she does display a sense of care for the island she governs, Nuts Island.

She actively tried to prevent Big Mom from destroying it, indicating a level of concern for its well-being. Additionally, when Brûlée called out to her for help, Amande made an effort to save her, demonstrating a degree of familial concern.

Charlotte Amande’s Appearance

Amande possesses distinct physical characteristics that make her easily recognizable. She is notably tall and has an extremely slim figure. Her most striking feature is her exceptionally pale complexion.

Amande's long hair is light blue in color and curls at the ends, adding to her distinctive appearance. Her eyes are sullen and light green in color, and her nose is small and almost flat.

As a member of the Snakeneck Tribe, Amande possesses a unique trait—her neck is notably long, although it appears to be slightly shorter and less flexible compared to her other half-Snakeneck siblings, Marscapone and Joscarpone. On her elongated neck, Amande sports a tattoo consisting of a stripe and two hearts.

To partially obscure her face, Amande wears a hat with an extremely wide brim that is approximately three times her own size. When her face is visible, she typically maintains a cold and melancholic expression, often with a lit cigarette placed in the corner of her mouth. She adorns her ears with a pair of hooped earrings.

Amande's attire consists of a light blue dress with vertical stripes, complemented by a red sash tied around her waist.

Charlotte Amande’s Abilities

Amande holds the esteemed position of Minister of Nuts and exercises authority over Nuts Island, specifically governing Peanuts Town. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the island's operations and has the ability to command the Tarteships, powerful vessels used for combat purposes.

As an officer of the Big Mom Pirates, Amande also possesses authority over lower-ranking crew members. Amande's prowess as a warrior is highly impressive. She has demonstrated her combat skills by single-handedly massacring numerous armed knights in her quest to gather eggs, showcasing her formidable strength.

Her reputation as a powerful fighter is widely recognized, as even the Germa Kingdom princes, Vinsmoke Niji and Vinsmoke Yonji, acknowledged her as a significant force within the Big Mom Pirates, a testament to her abilities considering the crew's formidable size and strength.

In terms of physical abilities, Amande possesses immense strength. Her sword strikes carry tremendous force, allowing her to effortlessly cut down a large group of knights equipped with metal armor and shields. She demonstrates exceptional precision and power when she cleanly slices through the giant tree homie Kingbaum, effortlessly severing his massive trunk with deliberate slowness to torment him.

Furthermore, Amande exhibits extraordinary cutting ability by slicing through Perospero's highly resilient Candy Wall, which can withstand Luffy's powerful Gigant Pistol attack. Despite her sword's size, Amande's agility is remarkable, enabling her to swiftly move and launch surprise attacks, as demonstrated when she ambushed Luffy from behind.

Amande's expertise in swordsmanship is evident through her skillful handling of her nodachi, Shirauo. As a Meito, a sword of exceptional quality, Shirauo further enhances her abilities as a formidable combatant.

Amande displays remarkable proficiency with her nodachi, effortlessly cutting down entire armies of armored knights, cleaving through colossal entities like Kingbaum, and effortlessly slicing through her brother Perospero's formidable Candy Wall.

Amande demonstrated her closeness with her quadruplet sisters, Mondée and Effilée, when they accompanied her to Nuts Island to protect its citizens from their mother's deranged rampage. In the anime, Mondée and Effilée directly confronted Luffy, angered by his attempt to hide on Amande's island.
