During an attempted invasion of Big Mom's territory, the Supernova Urouge managed to defeat one of the Sweet Commanders, Snack. However, Big Mom dispatched Charlotte Cracker to deal with Urouge and swiftly put an end to the confrontation. Cracker, accompanied by her homies Prometheus and Zeus and a massive fleet, engaged Urouge in battle and emerged victorious.
Big Mom assigned Cracker to aid his sister, Charlotte Brûlée, in dealing with Monkey D. Luffy. Luffy's presence posed a threat to Big Mom's plans, particularly his intention to rescue his friend Sanji. Cracker's primary objective was to prevent Luffy from reaching Sanji and interfering with the upcoming Tea Party event.
During a conversation between Pound, one of Big Mom's husbands, and Luffy and Nami in the Seducing Woods, Cracker unexpectedly appeared within a biscuit puppet, reprimanding Pound for revealing information and extracting him from the ground. Holding Pound hostage, Cracker halted an ambush attempt by Randolph and intimidated the surrounding homies, causing them to weaken.
He revealed that Big Mom had sent him to assist his sister because she perceived Luffy as a formidable threat after his defeat of Donquixote Doflamingo. Cracker expressed the importance of eliminating any potential errors before the Tea Party and prepared to execute Pound with his mother's permission.
However, Luffy intervened, countering Cracker's sword swing and delivering a powerful kick to his arm, forcing him to release Pound. This initiated a fierce battle between Cracker and Luffy. Cracker showcased his formidable abilities by multiplying his limbs and confidently asserting that Luffy stood no chance against him.
Luffy launched an attack, utilizing his Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun, but Cracker swiftly blocked it with his shield and retaliated with a barrage of Haki-imbued sword strikes, sending Luffy flying. Despite Luffy's attempts to fight back with his Hawk Gatling technique, Cracker effortlessly overwhelmed him once again using his shield.
As the battle continued, Cracker tried to persuade Luffy that Sanji would be happier if he abandoned the Straw Hat Pirates. However, an enraged Luffy unleashed his powerful Gear Fourth transformation and successfully landed a devastating Gomu Gomu no Kong Gun on Cracker, finally dealing a significant blow.
After Luffy shattered Cracker's biscuit puppet with another powerful Kong Gun attack, Cracker emerged from it and swiftly cut Luffy's right arm with his sword, Pretzel. With his true abilities unveiled, Cracker showcased his Devil Fruit powers by creating multiple Biscuit Soldiers, confidently declaring that Luffy stood no chance against him.
As Luffy unleashed his Gomu Gomu no Kong Organ attack to destroy the soldiers, Cracker cunningly leaped out from behind them, narrowly missing Luffy's head with his attack, Honey Pretzel. The intense battle between Cracker and Luffy continued for another eleven grueling hours.
Luffy devised a strategy of fighting, eating, and retreating, taking advantage of Nami's rain to soften Cracker's biscuit soldiers, allowing him to consume them. This infuriated Cracker, who eagerly anticipated Luffy's defeat from the sheer quantity of biscuits he consumed.
As Cracker generated more biscuit soldiers, he scolded Kingbaum, a homie who stood against him. However, Kingbaum explained that the homies could not oppose Nami due to the Vivre Card she possessed.
Cracker also complained to Nami for creating rain that weakened his soldiers and facilitated Luffy's consumption. Growing impatient, Cracker sent his army of biscuit soldiers charging at Luffy. Yet, Nami utilized Rain Spark to further soften the soldiers, and Luffy devoured them.
Luffy was reaching his limit, but just as Cracker prepared to strike, Luffy unleashed another form of Gear Fourth known as Tankman: Full Version. In a surprising turn of events, as Cracker attempted to pierce Luffy with his sword, he was engulfed and sucked into Luffy's enlarged body. The forceful impact sent Cracker flying, obliterating the remaining biscuit soldiers in the process.
The tremendous force propelled Cracker far beyond the Seducing Woods, crashing into Sweet City and causing destruction along the way. He eventually collided with the Whole Cake Chateau, where he was discovered unconscious by his siblings Mont-d'Or, Galette, and Opera.
After several days, Cracker had mostly recovered from his injuries. His sister Brûlée opened a mirror portal next to him, informing him that members of Germa 66, Ichiji, and Reiju, had seemingly appeared in Chocolat Town.
Intrigued, Cracker joined Brûlée to investigate the situation. He attempted to prevent Charlotte Pudding from being abducted by the Blackbeard Pirates but was frozen by Kuzan (Aokiji), along with the rest of the town.
Cracker's loyalty to his family and crew is unwavering, and he demonstrates it strongly when he discovers that his former stepfather has been divulging their secrets to Monkey D. Luffy and Nami. This revelation sparks a wave of deep anger within Cracker, highlighting his fierce dedication to protecting the interests and integrity of his family.
He holds a firm belief that one's heritage defines their character, although his assumptions are often flawed. Cracker mistakenly assumes that Sanji, who is being forced into an arranged marriage, would willingly consent out of loyalty to his family. Additionally, he expects Sanji to despise the Straw Hat Pirates for their attempts to rescue him on Whole Cake Island.
However, Cracker remains oblivious to the fact that Sanji opposes the wedding and holds a strong bond with his friends in the Straw Hat crew. This misunderstanding showcases Cracker's misguided perception of loyalty and his tendency to overlook crucial aspects of individuals' motivations and relationships.
Similar to his mother Big Mom and many of his siblings, such as his older brother Oven, Cracker does not consider his father or stepfathers to be true members of his family. He holds the view that only blood relations hold significance, disregarding any emotional or familial connection that may exist. This perspective aligns with the strong emphasis placed on bloodline and hierarchy within the Charlotte Family.
Cracker's loyalty and devotion extend beyond his family. He takes great pride in his role as a member of the Big Mom Pirates and values the camaraderie within his crew. While he prefers to handle enemies alone, he despises interference from his fellow crewmates, indicating a strong sense of self-reliance and a desire to prove his own worth.
Cracker's confidence in his own power is evident throughout his battles. He revels in utilizing his Devil Fruit abilities, particularly his biscuit-based powers, and delights in overwhelming his opponents with their versatility. However, his love for his creations does not extend to freely distributing them, as he dislikes others consuming his biscuits without compensation.
Arrogance is a prominent characteristic of Cracker, a trait shared by many members of his family. He holds himself superior to his adversaries and takes pleasure in mocking and taunting them, particularly Luffy during their intense battle. His overconfidence and arrogance sometimes lead him to make critical mistakes, as evidenced by his decision to reveal the inner workings of his powers to Luffy.
This act of mockery ultimately backfires, providing Luffy and Nami with crucial knowledge that aids them in their fight against him.
Charlotte Cracker is a physically imposing figure with a muscular build and remarkable height, standing at 307 cm tall. He possesses short, purple hair, most of which is tied into a baguette-like bun at the back of his head. Additionally, he has two thin, pointed strands of hair on either side that resemble sparking firecrackers. Notably, a large scar covers his right eye, adding to his rugged appearance, and he has small wrinkles around both eyes.
In terms of attire, Cracker typically goes shirtless, showcasing his well-defined physique. He wears a kilt adorned with decorative biscuits, emphasizing his association with his Minister of Biscuits role. Complementing his outfit, he sports shin-length brown boots on his lower half. A distinctive feature of his attire is a large, brightly colored pauldron positioned on his right shoulder.
Attached to the pauldron is a pink polka dot cape, adding a touch of flamboyance to his overall appearance. Cracker's unique style of combat revolves around his Devil Fruit ability, which allows him to create armor made of biscuits. He predominantly operates within this suit of biscuit armor, only revealing himself when the armor sustains damage or is destroyed.
This preference for anonymity is so pronounced that his wanted poster mistakenly features the face of his armor rather than his true appearance. The biscuit armor he creates takes the form of a massive, imposing warrior, towering over Luffy at a height four times greater than the rubber-powered pirate.
The armor features a prominent nose, a large pointed beard, and disproportionately thin limbs. A scar on the right side of its face mirrors the scar Cracker himself bears. The armor is also equipped with a vest made of crackers, a Spartan-style warrior's helmet, and horns positioned on the sides of its head, further enhancing its formidable appearance.
He is one of the Three Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates, Charlotte Cracker holds a position of great authority within the crew, second only to his mother, Big Mom. As the Minister of Biscuit and ruler of Biscuits Island, he is tasked with the procurement and distribution of biscuits to those in need.
His role highlights the importance of his expertise in the domain of biscuits within the Big Mom Pirates' operations. Additionally, Cracker possesses the ability to command large fleets, showcasing his leadership and strategic capabilities on the battlefield.
Cracker's presence alone carries significant weight and instills fear among the homies, sentient beings in Big Mom's territory. His voice and imposing demeanor cause them to shrink away and wither in fear, a testament to the respect and trepidation he commands among his fellow crewmates. This suggests that Cracker's power and reputation are widely recognized and acknowledged within the crew.
His impressive bounty of Beli 860,000,000 further underscores his threat level and the recognition he receives from the World Government. It signifies that he is considered highly dangerous and poses a significant obstacle to their operations. The magnitude of his power is such that when he was defeated in battle, Sweet City was placed under lockdown, emphasizing the chaos and disruption his defeat caused.
Even Big Mom herself holds great confidence in Cracker's abilities, believing that he is capable of defeating Monkey D. Luffy, a formidable pirate who managed to bring down the notorious Donquixote Doflamingo. This attests to Cracker's combat prowess and the high regard he is held in within the crew.
Cracker has demonstrated exceptional skills in deception and trickery during battles. He has the ability to create illusions, making it appear as though he possesses Devil Fruit powers related to multiplying his limbs and weapons. This ability to deceive his opponents adds an element of surprise to his fighting style.
Moreover, when confronted with a powerful attack, he can make his biscuit armor cough up a jam-like substance resembling blood, creating the illusion of significant damage and vulnerability. This further showcases his cunning and strategic thinking on the battlefield.
Notably, Cracker possesses some degree of culinary skill, as he has the ability to create a jam concoction that closely resembles blood. This demonstrates his versatility in utilizing his biscuit-based powers for both combat and culinary purposes.
Cracker is known for his impressive physical abilities, including stamina, strength, and swordsmanship. He has shown remarkable stamina by engaging in a prolonged battle and chase with Luffy for a grueling eleven hours, demonstrating his endurance and determination.
In terms of strength, Cracker possesses exceptional power. He wields a massive double-edged sword named Pretzel, which is considered one of Meito, renowned swords of superior quality. Pretzel is significantly larger than Cracker himself and features a unique crossguard shaped like a biscuit.
Despite its size, Cracker displays incredible skill in wielding Pretzel, attacking swiftly and maintaining sufficient speed to keep up with Luffy. In the anime, he is shown clashing evenly with Luffy in his powerful Gear 4 form, successfully pushing him back using the strength of his sword.
Cracker's mastery of swordsmanship is extraordinary and he is highly skilled in handling Pretzel, despite its immense size. His attacks are executed with remarkable speed and precision, showcasing his agility and proficiency. By combining his swordsmanship with his Busoshoku Haki, Cracker can slice through Luffy's Gear 4-enhanced Haki defenses, emphasizing his skill and formidable combat prowess.
Cracker possesses the Bisu Bisu no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants him the ability to create and manipulate biscuits at will. By clapping his hands, he can generate biscuits in various forms. His created biscuits are exceptionally durable, though they can be softened by contact with water.
His primary usage of the Devil Fruit power involves crafting large biscuit puppet soldiers. Cracker employs whole biscuits to form the puppet's torso and employs biscuit crumbs to shape the arms, legs, and facial features. He can even fashion weapons for his puppets using his biscuit abilities.
Cracker retains full control over the puppets' bodies, enabling him to manipulate them as he desires, including granting them extra limbs and equipping them with additional weapons. The puppets are hollow, allowing Cracker to not only control them remotely but also utilize them as a form of armor.
He can conceal himself within a puppet, using it as a defensive shield and enhancing its protective capabilities by infusing it with Busoshoku Haki.
Cracker possesses tremendous proficiency in Busoshoku Haki, also known as Armament Haki. His mastery of this Haki enables him to harden both his swords and his biscuit armor. Defensively, Cracker's Busoshoku Haki effortlessly repels Luffy's Haki-imbued Gear 2 and Gear 3 attacks, leaving Luffy astonished by the tremendous toughness of his defense.
Offensively, his Busoshoku Haki strengthens his sword, allowing him to make significant cuts even through Luffy's Haki-imbued arm in Gear 4 form. This feat is particularly noteworthy, as even the formidable Doflamingo had struggled to harm Luffy in his Gear 4 state.
Moreover, Cracker possesses the ability to employ Kenbunshoku Haki, also known as Observation Haki. This Haki grants him heightened senses and perception, enhancing his ability to anticipate and react to his opponents' movements.
Cracker's loyalty lies with his captain and mother, Charlotte Linlin, also known as Big Mom. As her tenth son and Sweet Commander, he is deeply devoted to her and follows her orders without question. Big Mom has confidence in Cracker's abilities, as she specifically sent him to assist his sister, Charlotte Brûlée, in dealing with Luffy and preventing him from reaching Sanji.
Cracker has a good relationship with his half-sister, Charlotte Brûlée. Although Brûlée initially believed she could handle the Straw Hats on her own, Cracker still followed Big Mom's orders and provided assistance when needed.
When it comes to his father and stepfathers, Cracker shares the general sentiment of his mother and siblings. He holds no regard for them and considers them no longer part of the Charlotte family.
As one of the Sweet Commanders, Cracker maintains unwavering loyalty to the Big Mom Pirates. Like all crew members, he addresses his mother as "Mama." When Cracker was defeated by Luffy, his siblings found him and rallied an army to avenge his defeat, launching an attack against Luffy and Nami.
Randolph, a member of the crew, respects Cracker and holds him in high regard. When Randolph attempted to assist Cracker in his battle against Luffy, Cracker ordered him not to interfere, and Randolph promptly complied. Randolph fears Cracker and would even blame his own crane to avoid incurring the Sweet Commander's wrath.
Kingbaum, a giant homie tree, and all the other Homies within the Big Mom Pirates respect Cracker's authority. However, when Nami used a Vivre Card containing Big Mom's soul fragment to control Kingbaum and manipulate him against Cracker's will, the Sweet Commander threatened to inform Big Mom of Kingbaum's lack of allegiance, refusing to accept any excuses.
Cracker's primary enemies are Monkey D. Luffy and Nami. Cracker became an enemy of Luffy when the Straw Hat captain arrived at Whole Cake Island. Following his mother's orders, Cracker served as an obstacle to prevent Luffy from reaching Sanji. Cracker's false assumptions about Sanji's opinion on the wedding and the Straw Hat Pirates offended Luffy, leading to a heated conflict between them.
Luffy's voracious consumption of Cracker's biscuit soldiers further fueled their animosity. Ultimately, Luffy managed to overcome Cracker and sent him flying through the sky into Sweet City.
Nami, being part of Luffy's crew, is also considered an enemy by Cracker. He harbors particular anger towards her for using the Vivre Card to manipulate the Homies and create rain, which softened his biscuit soldiers and allowed Luffy to devour them.
Pound, one of Big Mom's ex-husbands and a former stepfather to Cracker is not regarded with any sentiment by Cracker. Like the other ex-husbands, Cracker dismisses Pound's significance and acknowledges that his mother has no qualms about trying to kill her former stepfather.
In addition to the manga and its anime adaptation, Cracker also appeared in the Tokyo One Piece Tower live show, One Piece Live Attraction: Marionette.
He is also a playable character in the following games:
One Piece Treasure Cruise
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 (DLC)
One Piece: Burning Will
One Piece Thousand Storm
One Piece Bounty Rush
Cracker's name is in line with the food-themed names of the Charlotte Family and Big Mom Pirates.
His sparking hair may be a nod to firecrackers, which connects to his name.
Biscuits are Cracker's favorite food, while kimchi and carbonated drinks are his least favorite.
The concept of Cracker's biscuit soldiers could be inspired by "The Gingerbread Man" fairy tale, where a gingerbread cookie comes to life. These elements contribute to the overall fairy tale theme present in the Big Mom Pirates' crew.
