Charlotte Mont-d'Or in One Piece

Past

Not a lot is known about Charlotte Mont-d'Or’s past just that he was born on an unnamed ship and later on he joined the Big Mom Pirates.

Whole Cake Island Arc

Charlotte Linlin went on a frenzy and began consuming everything in Sweet City when she developed a taste for croquembouche. As Charlotte Moscato tried to soothe his mother, Mont-d'Or was among those who saw the incident. When Moscato tried to run away, Big Mom snatched forty years of his life, despite Mont-d'Or's advice not to show fear. Later, Mont-d'Or and an army walked up to where Luffy was.

Mont-d'Or mocked Luffy for his poor performance in the fight. When Luffy attacked Opera, Mont-d'Or transferred him into the suspense novel. Mont-d'Or questioned whether they took the Vivre Card from Lola after Charlotte Amande got one with Lola's name on it from Nami after defeating Luffy. After that, the army went back to Sweet City to inform Big Mom of the situation. In the Prisoner Library, Mont-d'Or locked Luffy and Nami up in a book. He later went to the page where they were held so Big Mom could talk with them using a Den Den Mushi.

Mont-d'Or and his siblings were informed of the intruder's entry into the Room of Treasure when Anglais showed up. Much later, Mont-d'Or met with a few of his crew members and discussed the Sanji Retrieval Team's current state. Mont-d'Or asked Opera about the rumors of Luffy and Nami's escape and Jinbe's role in it after receiving confirmation that everyone else had been captured except them.

Opera denied the reports, asserting that he had actually burnt Luffy and Nami alive. Mont-d'Or ended the meeting after being informed that the Vinsmoke Family members were in their rooms. He instructed the Chess Soldiers to continue keeping an eye out for Luffy and Nami despite not believing Opera's claim.

Mont-d'Or touched base with the Chess Soldiers outside the Vinsmokes' chamber. Before the wedding ceremony the next day, he instructed the troops to prevent the Vinsmokes from making any contact with anybody. One of the soldiers notified Mont-d'Or that the troops had finished surrounding the hospital where Vinsmoke Reiju was, leaving the Vinsmokes with little choice. At the Tea Party, Mont-d'Or rejoiced when the bride and groom arrived on Zeus.

Mont-d'Or and several of his siblings were getting ready to kill the Vinsmoke Family while the vows were being exchanged. However, Mont-d'Or became worried when Pudding did not shoot Sanji as planned. When Luffy’s clones appeared from the wedding cake, he was shocked. Mont-d'Or was furious to learn that Opera had been lying about murdering Luffy and Nami.

Mont-d'Or saw Pudding try to shoot Sanji, who avoided all of her shots when the wedding cake fell and Brook tore down the portrait of Mother Carmel. The Charlotte Family kept the Vinsmokes at gunpoint. Mont-d'Or and his brothers were rendered helpless when Luffy made Big Mom scream. Charlotte Katakuri then gave Mont-d'Or a pair of earplugs, and the Big Mom Pirates started to encircle Bege and Luffy's groups.

After Capone Bege converted into a fortress to protect his friends, Mont-d'Or reacted angrily when Bege's plan to assassinate Big Mom came to light. Later the bomb in the chest went off as the Tamatebako landed at the base of the Whole Cake Chateau, bringing down the castle. When Streusen used his superpower to transform the entire castle into cake, the Big Mom Pirates were saved.

Mont-d'Or listened to Pudding as she organized and gave orders to the other Big Mom Pirates and the islands across Totto Land when Perospero distracted Big Mom. Later, he lost track of the Straw Hats' ship and got lost as to why the local sea slugs had failed to notice it. Pekoms was then ordered to stop crying at Pedro's death. Tamago emphasized how they had underestimated the Straw Hats and that since their arrival, unexpected things had been happening.

Then he cautioned Mont-d'Or that they could not risk damaging Big Mom's image in any way. Mont-d'Or instructed his crew members to look into the ocean floor after learning that they had also lost track of Bege's ship. The news that Big Mom had attacked Nuts Island surprised him next. He was even more shocked to learn that the defending sea slugs had vanished.

Every Tarteship received a letter from Mont-d'Or ordering them to gather and hunt down the Straw Hats, Fire Tank Pirates, and Sun Pirates before they could leave Totto Land. Mont-d'Or suspected that the explosion had been planned, and he pushed Oven to establish a barrier around Cacao Island, warning him not to underestimate the Straw Hats and explaining that the barrier was required to keep them from leaving.

Mont-d'Or promised Morgans that the Big Mom Pirates' forces were going to destroy the Straw Hats as their planned rendezvous time on Cacao Island drew closer. He was in absolute shock when he learned that Katakuri had been defeated by Luffy. Afterwards, Mont-d'Or got in touch with Perospero and learned that Big Mom was getting ready to devour the cake.

He quickly gave the order to his crew members to apprehend Stussy and Morgans after learning that they had departed Whole Cake Island since they could not allow the current predicament to be made public. Upon learning that Big Mom's need had been satisfied Mont-d'Or was happy.

Wano Country Arc

Mont-d'Or was with his mother and crew when Big Mom tried to sail the Queen Mama Chanter up the waterfall into Wano Country. Big Mom saw something flying towards them as they were about to reach the top of the waterfall, and a nervous Mont-d'Or discovered it as a pteranodon. When they saw it was King, he attacked the ship, sending it down the waterfall and Big Mom into the water before they could react. Mont-d'Or thought about his family's current situation while sailing near Wano.

When Galette suggested that Big Mom might have been captured by Kaidou after Perospero noticed that her Vivre Card was still intact, indicating that she was still alive, Mont-d'Or pointed out that while Kaido and Big Mom may have once been allies, they were now enemies, so Kaidou would probably kill her. Later, word reached the team about Big Mom's fresh alliance with Kaidou. The Big Mom Pirates made another effort to climb the waterfall on the day of the Fire Festival, but Marco brought down their ship.

Although he fears his mother Charlotte Linlin, Mont-d'Or remains loyal to her. He is ready to take command in uncomfortable circumstances and is entirely devoted to stopping any of his mother's enemies. It is seen that he genuinely cares about his family. He is pretty violent with his enemies. Mont-d'Or has a bad temper and is a bit nasty.

He is exceedingly cautious and didn't even have faith in his bigger brother Opera. He sees his opponents arrogantly, like some of his siblings. Mont-d'Or was extremely proud of his crew, he felt that not even Gold Roger could escape the wall created by the whole military force of the Big Mom Pirates. He would go to any lengths to protect the image of his crew.

Mont-d'Or is a lanky guy with long, lean limbs, a thick stomach, and blond hair that sticks out in all directions. He is seen wearing a black jumpsuit with an open chest that features a skeleton design that follows the ribs and limbs with black lipstick, eye makeup, a dark top hat with a light pink ribbon, and other accessories.

Mont-d'Or has a strong will, as seen by his ability to endure an outburst of Big Mom's Haoshoku Haki and continue to breathe despite her loud cries. He has shown to have excellent intuition.

He was able to figure out that the sneak attack on Bobbin had something to do with the Straw Hat Pirates and that Sanji and Luffy had been planning something before the tea party. He also has great strategic skills as well.

Devil Fruit

The Buku Buku no Mi, is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit. This gives him the ability to control books. He has the ability to telekinetically manipulate books and even utilize them as support. He can even physically trap them by trapping them with a nail between the pages of a book. A victim who has been trapped within a book will never grow old. However, by setting the books on fire, imprisoned people can be released, however they can also catch fire.

Charlotte Linlin

Mont-d'Or had a strong sense of loyalty to his mother, Big Mom, and supported her wholeheartedly in her plan to kill the Vinsmoke Family. Despite his loyalty, Mont-d'Or has a worry that his mother may kill his siblings Moscato and Opera if her eating issue comes up.

Charlotte Opera

It is seen that Mont-d'Or and Opera get along. Even though Opera said he had slain Monkey D. Luffy and Nami at the Prisoner Library, Mont-d'Or prefers to rely on his own decisions rather than taking his brother’s word. When Mont-d'Or saw that Opera had in fact lied about murdering Luffy and Nami in order to rescue himself during the chaos at the wedding, he became angry.

Charlotte Moscato

Moscato is Mont-d'or's older brother. During their mother's rage in Sweet City, he made an effort to prevent him from coming in her path. Mont-d'Or expressed concern that not even Big Mom's children are spared from her fury when her mother took part of Moscato's life expectancy.

Other Siblings

Most of Mont-d'Or's siblings appear to get along well with him and he shows concern for their well-being. He is often seen with his sister Charlotte Galette, and the two of them get along well enough to ensure that everything on their team goes according to plan. Mont-d'Or thought his Sweet Commander siblings, Cracker and Katakuri, were so strong that no one could fight them, and he regarded them in the highest regard and admiration.

Mont-d'Or was astonished and angry to see Cracker lose, and he immediately began planning his revenge. He then joined Big Mom's army to get revenge for his brother's loss. He was also speechless when his sister Brûlée announced that Luffy had broken Katakuri's undefeated streak.

Straw Hat Pirates

Mont-d'Or is an enemy of Luffy and his team since he is a member of the Charlotte Family and the Big Mom Pirates. Mont-d'Or joined Big Mom's outraged army to fight Cracker after Luffy destroyed him. Mont-d'Or grabbed the two straw hats and locked them up in Big Mom's palace's Prisoner Library. He made fun of Luffy for taking on Big Mom once again while he was there.

Later, he was taken aback by Luffy's presence at the wedding and furious after learning that Opera had lied about murdering Luffy and Nami. He assembled his men and family after the Chateau was destroyed to make sure they would stop the Straw Hat from escaping. Despite Tamago's warning not to underestimate them in light of the recent chaos brought on by their invasion, he continued to look down on them and wondered if they should be taken seriously.

Vinsmoke Family

Mont-d'Or is an enemy of the Vinsmoke Family and is a part of Big Mom's plan to kill them. The night before the wedding, Mont-d'Or put guards outside the Vinsmokes' hotel rooms to make sure there wouldn't be any problems in the plan. He was one of the Charlotte kids that held the Vinsmokes at gunpoint during the wedding.

Sadly for him, Big Mom started to scream, leaving them helpless and allowing Sanji to free his family. After being given earplugs, Mont-d'Or recovered his cool and tried to kill them again, but the Vinsmokes' escape allowed them to help the Straw Hats repel the Big Mom Pirates before they had to leave.

Capone Bege

As the Big Mom Pirates surrounded the Straw Hats and Fire Tank Pirates, forcing them to flee into Bege's castle, Mont-d'Or realized Bege's betrayal. However, his attempt to murder Big Mom failed. Later, Mont-d'Or criticized Bege for attempting to kill his mother and vowed to stop him and his companions from escaping alive. Later, when his crew left Whole Cake Island, he was furious to hear that they had lost sight of Bege.
