Big Mom dispatched Diesel to an unidentified island three days prior to Sanji and Charlotte Pudding's wedding to get the fabled flour for the ceremony. As he finished his assignment, Diesel assaulted a grain mill and slaughtered the workers. Diesel was in the Mirro-World two days later, helping Charlotte Brûlée and several of her fellow goons prepare to stew Carrot.
Diesel suggested that in order to avoid a battle, the lid should be immediately closed when she was placed into the pot. Diesel noticed the real Carrot as she tossed a rock at Randolph, but she was actually up in the attic. Diesel rushed out of the home to tell Big Mom about the situation after Carrot and Tony Tony Chopper managed to attack the party and knock out everyone but him. Diesel was forced to crash as Carrot overtook him and covered his eyes.
He was then persuaded into helping Chopper and Carrot navigate the Mirro-World by them. After a lengthy conversation, Chopper and Carrot ordered Diesel to take the five of them plus Brûlée, a weight which Diesel strained to lift. They had carried Pedro, Nami, and Jinbe into the Mirro-World. Later, Brook was found by Chopper's team in Big Mom's bedroom, where she was sleeping while being detained by the Emperor.
Diesel and Brûlée were both put to sleep after Brûlée attempted to call Big Mom. Diesel was amazed that Brook had been able to obtain replicas of the three poneglyphs after Chopper's team had successfully saved her. Later, during a conversation with Monkey D. Luffy via a mirror shard, Jinbe repeatedly mistakenly counted Brûlée and Diesel as members of their squad; the terrified pair promptly corrected him.
Later, Diesel and Brûlée were transported to the Fire Tank Pirates' base and imprisoned. The two were dressed in clean clothing after being washed up. When Diesel learned that Charlotte Chiffon was part of a plot to kill Big Mom, he was astounded.
He pleaded with Chiffon to change her mind in vain. Following the meeting, the Fire Tank Pirates began their assassination plan as Diesel slept off inside Bege's body. Diesel was once again compelled to be utilized as transportation as the Sanji Retrieval Team prepared to rush into the area from the Mirro-World.
Diesel is incredibly devoted to Big Mom because he killed countless people to obtain the legendary flour for her and went to tell her about Brûlée's defeat right away. He brags about how good he is at running since he is so sure of himself. Diesel laughs in a distinctive way that mimics the sound of a steam train: "Shuppoppoppo," like many other characters.
Diesel is a tall man with skinny legs and a very little mustache. His most distinctive features are a huge headgear that resembles a chimney and blasts smoke, as well as wheels on both sides of his torso that appear to serve no purpose other than to spin when he runs.
He possesses extraordinarily lengthy arms for a Longarm, with an additional elbow joint on each. He wears black slacks, a dark mask covering his eyes, and a large pink bowtie. He was made to change into a lighter outfit when he was transported to the Fire Tank Pirates' stronghold.
Diesel claims to be a very fast runner, which is demonstrated by the fact that he was able to sprint quite far away from Brûlée's house in an effort to get away before Carrot was able to quickly catch up to him. He is also quite powerful.
He could sprint at fast speed and carry up to six people at once, including Chopper in his Heavy Point form and Jinbe, a gigantic fish-man. Diesel is a very skilled fighter, as seen by the ease with which he was able to execute multiple plant workers who were carrying weapons in an effort to steal the fabled grain.
