Ivankov is reputed to have performed numerous "miracles," as evidenced by the fact that individuals sought him out for assistance with various tasks, among them becoming Okama. Ivankov knew Crocodile at some point when he was a rookie and learned of a priceless weakness Crocodile shares with him.
Ivankov met Monkey D. Dragon and Bartholomew Kuma 22 years before the current plot, and the three of them established the Revolutionary Army, with Ivankov serving as its first leader. Ivankov and the leader Monkey D. Dragon were great friends.
He was on a mission with Dragon and Kuma on the East Blue twelve years before the present timeline. He saw the destruction of Grey Terminal while also assisting the survivors in boarding Dragon's ship. Later, he was transferred to Level 5 of Impel Down due to his involvement with the Revolutionaries.
The fact that Mr. 2 Bon Kurei stated he was apprehended "without rhyme nor reason" suggests that his membership was not well recognised. Additionally, he served as the Kamabakka Kingdom's queen for a time before retiring (perhaps due to his captivity).
Iva is a feminine cross-dressing man who identifies as an Okama. Additionally, he frequently ends sentences with "buru" and pronounces "watashi" and "anata" with a v (vatashi and vanata). In addition, he repeatedly says the exact opposite of what he just said, which some people mistakenly attribute to his sense of humour. He is renowned for not having a preference for the Japanese honorific used to address him.
He frequently refers to people by their name, nickname, or a combination of both, followed by the word "boy," such as Mr. 2 Bon Kurei, "Bon-boy," Luffy, "Straw Hat-boy," and Crocodile, "Croco-boy." Iva frequently exclaims "Hee-Haw!"; the Shonen Jump translation reads "Woo-Hoo!" Ivankov laughs in the same manner as some One Piece characters: Mmmfufufu.
Iva is a person who sticks to the ways of the Okama and places high importance on friendship and ties. He appears driven to help friends and subordinates and is willing to risk his life for their benefit. Additionally, he thinks everyone has the right to be who they want to be, whether a man, woman, or Okama.
He is also quite outspoken, frank, and sometimes wicked about his ideals. He doesn't give a damn about what other people think of his ideas. He claims that despite being an Impel Down prisoner, he is not a very good person because he would not intervene to save someone's life. But after hearing the words of camaraderie and optimism, he decides their life is worth saving.
According to him, "miracles" only happen to those who never give up, and as a result, neither they nor the people who have the strength inside themselves to make them should be looked down upon. In addition, he disapproves of and thinks less of those who depend on others to save them.
He claims he constantly doubts the "Will to Live" of the countries he has saved. Aside from being intelligent enough to calculate the "toll" his Devil Fruit power will have on the people he uses it on, Ivankov also has the perceptive quality of being able to identify someone's physical health status after only a brief observation period.
Ivankov is a tall, indigo-coloured afro-haired man with long eyelashes. His chin has an arrowhead-like appearance and is obviously oddly-shaped. He has an enormous afro that can fit people within. Just below his chest, he has a unique Jolly Roger tattoo.
He wears a reddish-purple woman's leotard with a high collar and a deep V-neck that reaches to his belly when dressed as an okama. He has pearl jewellery on, and his gloves and boots match. He sports identical net leggings and a cape over his back.
He also uses a lot of tasteful but heavy makeup. He wears a queen's crown with a king's crown on top to represent his queenship of New Kama Land. Iva has been shown as a Revolutionary without the crown and wearing a cloak in a flashback.
Ivankov can transform into a huge, curvy woman by using his Emporio Female Hormones to himself. This form is more realistically proportioned and equipped than his male body. This form is also barely clothed due to his Okama form's attire. Despite the hormonal changes, he is still tremendously tall and at least twice as big.
Iva keeps his male voice in the anime when he transforms into a woman, unlike the other characters whose voices are altered by his abilities, even though his voice sounds somewhat different between male and female.
Ivankov is regarded as the best Okama in the entire globe. Iva has a similar position as Boa Hancock, who ruled over Amazon Lily, as queen of the Kamabakka Kingdom, which includes authority over an island populated by male transvestites.
He established his "New Kama Land" kingdom (or "queendom") at Impel Down. He led a tiny army of former convicts known as "New Kama Okama" supporters. After the battle, he and his supporters from New Kama Land reunited his two kingdoms by returning to Kamabakka Kingdom.
Iva has command over the lower-ranking soldiers in the army because he is the Revolutionaries' commander. His ability to unify the ragtag band of rowdy inmates that strayed and eventually found themselves in New Kama Land under his authority suggests that he has significant leadership abilities.
Ivankov is a strong fighter, if necessary, despite his absurd appearance. Ivankov's extensive makeup use—enough to create a "mask"—is another beneficial quality. He also seems to be knowledgeable about Haki.
Ivankov possesses enormous physical strength appropriate for his size. He is huge, but he moves with extraordinary agility and speed. Ivankov has incredible stamina, as evidenced by the fact that he could stand at Level 5, popularly known as the Freezing Hell, without experiencing any discomfort. Ivankov has powerful facial muscles producing strong shock waves with just a few winks.
Ivankov consumed the Horu Horu no Mi, a Paramecia Devil Fruit that can produce a range of unique hormones that can change the recipient's body in any way, enabling him to "remodel a human from the inside." He can also transform his fingers into syringes to inject the hormones into a target body, including his own.
He can easily change the recipient's sex, growth, skin pigment, stamina, emotions, and a wide range of other physical characteristics when using this skill. However, Ivankov claimed that his hormones are not a magical cure-all and can have potentially fatal adverse effects if misused. As a result of this power, he became known as the "Miracle Person."
Ivankov can inject himself with hormones, giving him physical traits that help him in battle; he can significantly increase the size of his head to greatly increase the power of his signature Hell Wink technique. He can change himself into a woman, giving her body the flexibility and softness that makes her resistant to blunt force.
Additionally, he can produce adrenaline chemicals, which give the target an energy boost and enable them to fight even when exhausted. He can also produce hormones that strengthen the recipient's natural immune system, increasing a person's chances of surviving illnesses and poisoning that might otherwise be fatal.
Only those with strong enough willpower can recover, as the likelihood of survival is only marginally improved, the healing hormone remedy is excruciatingly painful, and the procedure takes several hours or even a few days to complete. A person's potential lifetime may be reduced by years as a result of the process if the condition is severe enough.
Ivankov is a Newkama Kenpo master who possesses extraordinary strength. He is known for his Death Wink attack. Simply by winking, this silly but effective attack sends forth a massive shockwave. He practised this wink on a guy who vowed retaliation against Ivankov for changing his father, a monarch, into a woman.
Ivankov used the Death Wink to deflect the blast as the man shot with his bazooka. His Death Wink can break steel traps. This attack is frequently enhanced by Ivankov's Devil Fruit, which he uses to enlarge his own head and produce the more potent Hell Wink.
Ivankov is respected and cared for by his fellow revolutionaries because he was one of the Revolutionary Army's original members.
Ivankov, a devoted member of the Revolutionary army, appears to have a close relationship with his boss, Monkey D. Dragon. Ivankov's sense of companionship extends to the scope that, despite being an Impel Down prisoner, his allegiance endures to the point where he doesn't seem to believe Dragon left him.
After the Blackbeard Pirates destroyed the main base during the time skip, Ivankov permitted Dragon and the other revolutionaries to relocate to Momoiro Island. They remain friendly, with Ivankov commenting on Luffy's rise to notoriety and drawing comparisons to his late father.
Ivankov freed Inazuma from his prison in Impel Down's Level 5. They devised a plan to flee when the time was right. Inazuma quickly helped Ivankov escape from Impel Down and helped Luffy find Ace at the Summit War of Marineford, showing their close relationship.
Bartholomew Kuma and Ivankov were close friends because they belonged to the Revolutionaries' inner circle. Ivankov's remark about Kuma detesting the World Government indicates that he appears to be a close friend of Kuma.
Ivankov is also familiar with the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi. When Doflamingo told him that Kuma had permitted the World Government to transform him into a cyborg and take away his memories, feelings, and free will, he exhibited complete shock.
Due to his help in assisting them in escaping from their terrible cages and providing them with a better location to dwell, the group of New Kama Land appear to respect Ivankov like a "queen". When he decided to break out and rush into the war at Marineford, they eagerly followed him. They followed him as he travelled to the Kamabakka Kingdom after the fight.
Mr. 2 Bon Kurei respects Ivankov for saving his and Luffy's lives and being the best Okama. Iva, in turn, was moved by Luffy and Bon Kurei's close connection and was one of the many detainees crying after learning of Bon Kurei's sacrifice to get the Gates of Justice opened for them. Ivankov refers to Mr. 2 as Bon Boy.
Iva's regard for Luffy grew after seeing his impressive recovery and learning that he is the son of his leader, Dragon. As a result, he felt obligated to help Luffy free Ace from prison. Ivankov remarks that confronting Luffy is like confronting Dragon after Luffy announced that he was going to Marineford to save Ace.
Ivankov was astounded by Luffy's use of Haoshoku Haki and remarked that he was Dragon's offspring, given his immense strength. After the brutal Admiral Akainu killed Ace, Ivankov shielded Luffy from him. After the time-skip, he was quite impressed with Luffy's growing fame and said that, given his continued success, he is his father's son.
Ivankov met Sanji and disliked him in the beginning because of the drawn wanted poster thinking that he might be a government snitch. He also embarrassed him by indicating that he will give him a ship, only to backtrack and declare he won't.
To gain the recipes for the Attack Cuisine, he did issue Sanji a challenge; if he won, he would give him a ship. Iva did meet his promise because Sanji was provided with transport after the two-year time skip.
He was also taken aback by Sanji's neglect to inform him of his past life as the prince of Germa. He referred to him as "Sanji-boy" at one point, indicating that he had become fond of the latter.
Ivankov and Jinbe shielded Luffy from Admiral Akainu after Ace's attack. When Ivankov left Marineford, he left Jinbe responsible for caring for Luffy.
Ivankov was disliked by one prisoner in Level 5.5. Iva converted Bellett's father into an Okama, which caused the collapse of his family and kingdom and turned the man from a prince to a pirate. As a result, Bellett harboured resentment towards Iva. The man vowed retaliation, but Ivankov's abilities caused him to change into a woman.
Ivankov opposes the World Government since he is a soldier in the revolutionary army. After Sabo revealed the government's dark secret, he was so horrified by the discovery that he even proposed the theory that Imu was the same Nerona Imu who established the World Government and was given immortality. He was also disgusted by Imu's use of a lethal weapon to destroy the Lulusia Kingdom.
Due to Ivankov's leadership of an uprising in Impel Down, they had a brief battle during which Magellan poisoned him.
Even though their various positions made them rivals, their animosity grew when then-admiral Akainu murdered Ace and attempted to murder Luffy and Jinbe. On behalf of the two, Ivankov confronted the admiral. Ivankov was defeated by Akainu during their brief battle.
They have already met back when Crocodile was just starting out. Crocodile's most valuable weakness was even discovered by Ivankov, who used it to threaten Crocodile into not attempting to betray the escape group.
He seemed to have an understanding with Boa Hancock. Because he is concerned for the young pirate, Hancock seems okay with Ivankov slipping aboard the Marine ship she used to follow Luffy. They both showed concern for Luffy because he had seen his sibling die.
He and Law appear to be on good terms. Ivankov asked about Law's friendship with Luffy; the latter said he was not. Law asserts that he had no justification for saving Luffy and offers to invent one. Ivankov declined the offer and said that sometimes, intuition can lead people to do strange things.
