Funwari Island is one of the 34 islands surrounding Totto Land. Not a lot is known about its history and Fuwarin Town is the only known town located on Funwari Island.

Funwari Island's infrastructure is modeled after the giant versions of its name. Funwari Island's structures are designed after huge fluffy dishes like cupcakes.

It is stated that, according to the current timeline, Funwari Island became a part of Big Mom's territory less than 62 years ago. Charlotte Linlin, aka Big Mom, is said to have modified the island's appearance with her Soru Soru no Mi (Soul-Soul Fruit) and Streusen's Kuku Kuku no Mi (Cook-Cook Fruit) devil fruit powers. Later, Charlotte Chiffon, the Yonko’s 52nd child, the Minister of Puffs, was appointed in charge of the island.

In the Whole Cake Island Arc, Chiffon recommended that they, the Fire Tank Pirates, should change their intended destination to Funwari Island in order to give the Straw Hat Pirates more time to escape from Totto Land as they were on their way to Liqueur Island to feed Big Mom the substitute wedding cake.

People on the island began to worry and curse Chiffon as Big Mom got close to the cake after the Fire Tank Pirates arrived with it. The residents then saw Big Mom devour the cake, which satisfied her hunger and ended her rampage. Later, by stealing a tarteship, the Fire Tank Pirates were able to leave the island. When Big Mom's craving was satisfied, and she regained consciousness, she left for Cacao Island.

The information regarding the inhabitants of Funwari Island has yet to be made available. Big Mom Pirates are the only known affiliates.

Very little information is available regarding Funwari Island, and what kind of mysteries or wildlife it holds is still a mystery.
