This devil fruit gives the user the ability to turn into an Onyudo, a mythical, human- like yokai that takes the form of a giant monk. As this devil fruit is a part of the Hito Hito no Mi series, the transformation grants the user a non- human user human intelligence and also the ability to speak the human language.
This devil fruit doesn't have it's own weaknesses other than the standard devil fruit weakness that is the inability to swim.
Onimaru is able to transform from his komagitsune self into a large naginata wielding Onyudo known as Gyukimaru. In this from, he possesses a human intellect that comes with the ability to speak and extended lifespan .
