Iceburg in One Piece

Past

Along with Cutty Flam, Iceburg served as an apprentice to the fish-man Tom, the famous shipbuilder of Water 7. Since Franky's only goal was to build an odd ship that might defeat a Sea King, the two trainees were frequently at odds with one another while Tom smiled at their shenanigans. The Roger Pirates paid a visit to Tom's Workers before Roger became the Pirate King. Tom had been accused of building the Oro Jackson, the ship of the late pirate king Gol D. Roger.

Tom was given ten years to finish the Sea Train before he could be released from prison. Iceburg made the decision to work hard to help Tom while Franky kept manufacturing ships since he thought Tom was entirely innocent of building the ship. The time had finally come for Tom to receive his release from prison. Things appeared to be in order with the Sea Train running and Water 7 now enjoying a booming commerce activity.

Sadly, Spandam hijacked a fleet of Franky's famous battleships and attacked the jury team. He then immediately fled when the job was over. Tom's employees were all arrested and charged with attempting to assault the jury ship. After receiving a pardon for his prior crime, Tom decided to get the attack pardoned to prevent his apprentices from being arrested. He also expressed his pride in building Gol D. Roger's ship.

News that Cutty Flam had died while attempting to stop the Sea Train from transporting Tom away reached Iceburg and Kokoro after Tom had been transported away on the very Sea Train he had created. As the sole survivor of the business, Iceburg was given the responsibility of protecting Pluton's designs. Iceberg went about merging all the shipyards in Water 7 into the Galley-La Company.

Together with the top shipbuilders, he established a global enterprise and turned into a supplier for the World Government. He quickly won the support of the whole community after being elected mayor of Water 7. The Pluton plans were secure since he had been able to establish his authority.

After Tom's passing, Iceburg held the Pluton blueprints for four years. After those four years, he handed them in secret to Cutty Flam, a man he believed to have died. The authorities still assumed that Iceburg had Pluton's plans because this was done secretly. As a result, he was constantly bothered by government officials who came to ask him for the designs.

Water 7 Arc

After being targeted by government agents for the Pluton plans for years, the Cypher Pol's strongest section was secretly deployed for Iceburg. Four CP9 operatives secretly entered Water 7 and assumed the appearance of regular citizens. A few of them even gained access to his trusted inner circle.

The Franky Family, took the Straw Hat’s money as they were approaching the pier. Fortunately, shipwrights Paulie and Rob Lucci from Dock 1 were able to save the cash. When Kaku, arrived from his assessment of the ship, he said that it would be difficult to fix the ship in its current state. Luffy was shocked, but Iceburg only gave him the advice to consider getting a new ship.

Iceburg was nearly shot to death while resting at the Galley-La Headquarters. He claimed that Nico Robin and a masked guy were the ones who shot him the next morning. The employees of the Galley-La Company believed the Straw Hat Pirates were the killers after discovering this and started actively looking for them.

All of Galley-La's employees tightly tracked Iceburg while looking for the Straw Hats to stop any further assassination attempts on him. When Iceburg learned that Luffy was within the building, he sent Kalifa to locate him and take him to his chamber. When Luffy entered Iceburg's chamber, he asked right away if it had actually been Robin who had shot him.

Iceburg replied that he was certain of everything. The mayor of Water 7 demanded that Luffy quickly hand over Robin while pointing a revolver at him. In response, Luffy said he had no idea where she was. Luffy was shot by Iceburg, but as he is a rubber man, he was unharmed. The chief shipwrights went to Iceburg's quarters after hearing the cannon, but Luffy had already left.

Later that evening, Iceburg's chamber gets watched over by Paulie, Lucci, Kaku, and Tilestone. Paulie was informed about the fake Pluton plans, and he was given access to his vault in the adjacent room. Since his enemies were unaware that he had given Franky the real plans years before, Iceburg's real purpose was to use the false documents to draw them into a battle.

After his guards were overpowered, a guy in a mask shot him once more. Lucci, Kalifa, Kaku, and barman Blueno were among the three other masked figures that entered the space and exposed themselves to be not just CP9 but also individuals in whom Iceburg had faith. Kaku felt his pulse, and Iceburg's heightened and tense reflexes only validated Lucci's suspicions regarding the whereabouts of the true Pluton plans.

When they attempt to save Iceburg by breaking into the chamber, Luffy, Paulie, Zoro, Chopper, and Nami are defeated by the CP9's power, Rokushiki. CP9 withdrew, leaving the pirates, Paulie, and Iceburg dead as another explosive detonated. Chopper, however, suddenly came to and saved everyone from the burning Galley-La Headquarters. When Iceburg woke up, he approached Nami and revealed Robin's actual intentions, which she had already informed him of when Blueno was fighting Tilestone.

He threatened to unleash the Buster Call. After making this decision, the Straw Hats seek the help of Peepley Lulu, Tilestone, Paulie, Kokoro, Chimney, Gonbe, and the Franky Family in order to rescue Robin. Iceburg built the prototype sea train, Rocketman, which the party might take to depart Water 7, knowing that the boat he helped develop would be their only chance to pass Aqua Laguna. He watched as they went into the storm in search of Enies Lobby.

He heard someone shouting out for help before he could go to higher ground to seek protection from the Aqua Laguna. Although he glanced around and saw nothing, he later realized that the Going Merry, the Straw Hat's ship, was the one calling to him. The ship asked Iceburg to fix it and pleaded for another opportunity to aid its friends.

With his unparalleled shipwright abilities, Iceburg, who was still recovering from bullet wounds, allowed the Going Merry to set sail once more. The Going Merry thanked him sincerely as the waves carried the ship out to sea. Despite the perils of the approaching battle, Iceburg asked a ship to follow in order to observe this miracle up close for himself.

Enies Lobby Arc

After lifting the Aqua Laguna the following day, Iceburg sailed the Galley-La Company ship towards Enies Lobby in search of the Straw Hats and the others. After they successfully saved Robin, he ran into them aboard the miraculous ship Going Merry and noticed that they still seemed to have a suspicion for Robin, which was understandable. However, as soon as they came together, the Going Merry split in two, right down to the keel, and Iceburg knew that was when it had died.

As a result, everyone surrounded the ship and gave it a Viking funeral. The Going Merry thanked everyone for their kind memories and for allowing it to take them there. Luffy yelled that it would always be their friend. Iceburg's shipwright heart saluted this ship among ships as he quietly observed the mournful burial. Iceburg was inspired to transform Water 7 into a boat and sail it on the water by the recent Aqua Laguna and its terrible effects on Water 7.

But before he began working on it, he assisted Franky in constructing the Straw Hats' ideal ship. The ship would be the ship that will cross a thousand seas under the light of the sun, the Thousand Sunny, Iceburg proposed as they finished it. As the Straw Hats approach the new ship, Iceburg reveals the reasons for Franky's absence, and how he still felt obligated to stay on Water 7.

Iceburg told Franky that he had already forgiven both him and Tom and that all that was needed was for Franky to forgive himself. Franky broke down in tears and ultimately decided to join the Straw Hat Pirates in order to fulfil his goal of sailing on the ship.

Iceburg is the most important person in the city since he serves as both the mayor of Water 7 and the president of the Galley-La Company. He is not arrogant and is a good leader because both his colleagues and his countrymen show tremendous love for him. Iceburg occasionally comes across as being pretty immature like when he cancels all of his appointments to show visitors around.

He also refuses to meet with individuals because he doesn't like them, finds animals on the ground, and takes care of them. Iceburg hates the making of the weapon and the individual who developed a weapon might not have intended to harm anybody. Iceburg has an in-depth understanding of and affection for ships.

Iceburg is a tall, middle-aged guy with blue lips and hair. He is seen wearing black suit trousers, black shoes, and a red and orange striped blazer over an unbuttoned wide-collared orange shirt. He keeps his pet mouse, Tyrannosaurus in a pocket on the left side of his jacket.

As a child, he used to wear a white bandanna with a brown T-shirt, beige trousers, and black shoes. He also has purple tattoos on both shoulders from when he was a child, but they aren’t seen because of the long sleeves he usually wears.

Iceburg is a talented shipwright like Franky, having been directly taught by Tom, who was recognized as the best shipwright of his time. He was able to bring all of Water 7's shipyards together under his direction to create the Galley-La Company, a group of the best shipbuilders on the whole planet.

He was also able to repair the failed prototype Sea Train Rocketman in time for the Straw Hats to use it to reach Enies Lobby in a short amount of time. His knowledge of ship construction is so advanced that he plans to turn the whole city of Water 7 into a massive floating vessel to solve the problem of Aqua Laguna.

He has demonstrated great endurance and resistance at various points, as evidenced by the fact that he and Tom survived an attack from a fleet of Battle Franky ships that was potent enough to kill a Sea King and that he was able to get up and check on the Rocketman after suffering serious injuries from the CP9.

Galley-La Company

The residents of Water 7 love Iceburg, especially all of his employees. They like his company and often seek his advice on matters related to shipbuilding. They are very protective of Iceburg since they wanted to exact revenge after he suffered hurt and they will battle to protect him.

Tyrannosaurus

Tyrannosaurus, his pet mouse, is constantly with him and is typically found in his left chest pocket because he is quite attached to him.

Tom

Iceburg placed an incredible amount of value on Tom as his mentor. Tom taught him as a shipwright from a young age, and he had a great deal of regard for him and his abilities.

On the Sea Train, Iceburg worked with Tom and Franky. Tom was seen crying when he surrendered to the World Government.

Franky

Iceburg was the one who gave him the nickname "Franky" since he felt Cutty Flam was an odd name. His relationship with Franky can be strange at times because he has never really understood Franky's frequently bizarre antics. He had always been disliked by Iceburg, who didn't understand why he kept creating his odd and possibly risky ships, despite having originally wanted to create a ship powerful enough to slay a Sea King.

Iceburg was furious at Franky after learning that the Battle Frankys had been deployed to harm the defenseless. Iceburg was the only one who knew that Franky's sadness over Tom's passing. Franky was eventually allowed to join the Straw Hat Pirates after Iceburg helped him that he needed to forgive himself in order to get over his pain.

Kokoro

Kokoro was Iceburg and Franky's matronly figure while he was Tom's apprentice. After Tom's imprisonment and Franky's supposed death, Iceburg and Kokoro continued their friendship, spending a number of years getting together as drinking pals.
