Roger, also renowned as the Pirate King, and his pirate crew, the Roger Pirates, arrived on the island for the first time in 800 years, thirty-nine years ago in the current timeline. When they arrived there, they realized that there was one more island ahead, but the Log Pose was unable to locate it. Then Roger set out on his quest to find the way to the last island, which he eventually named Laugh Tale.
The Grand Line's various pathways, Paradise and New World combined, eventually come together at Lodestar Island. Inuarashi claims that when travelers arrive on the island, they learn about the Poneglyphs, the culture that created them, and the secret last island of Laugh Tale. Since the Roger Pirates are the first known individuals to actually reach Lodestar Island in 800 years, it is believed that reaching this island is very dangerous and a feat on its own. Additionally, it is stated that after reaching Lodestar Island, the Log Pose starts malfunctioning for some unknown reason and starts spinning uncontrollably. The Log is unable to reset and locate the next island, making it impossible to reach the last island in the Grand Line without the help of the four Road Poneglyph.
Gol D. Roger and his pirate crew are the only known individuals to reach Lodestar island. So far, no inhabitants of Lodestar Island are known.
