History of Long Ring Long Land

On the strange island of Long Ring Long Land, where everything, including the animals and vegetation, stretches in either length or height, Luffy and his crew make their way. Chopper, Usopp and Luffy explore against Nami’s warning and come across an abandoned home, a tall horse, and two bamboo stalks that are capable of walking. Tonjit crumbles to the ground when they split the bamboo. Tonjit has spent the past ten years living on bamboo slits.

Despite the fact that Tonjit’s family is nomadic and has long since left the area, he is happy that his horse, Shelly, waited for him for so long. He also explained to the Straw Hats about the geography of Long Ring Long Land, which is made up of ten connected islands that may be traveled on foot during a major ebb each year.

An unknown pirate crew surrounded the Going Merry and the rest of the crew and claimed that their captain wanted to play Davy Back Fight with Luffy. Back at Tonjit’s home, Chopper, Usopp and Luffy observe Tonjit riding Shelly before witnessing her being shot by Foxy the Silver Fox, who then requests that Luffy participate in the Davy Back Fight.

Geography of Long Ring Long Land

Lengthy rings of ten islands make up the chain of Long Ring Long Land and a road connecting them only appears once a year. An Eternal Pose cannot be used to go from one island to another because the archipelago’s ten islands are actually connected to form one large island.

Inhabitants of Long Ring Long Land

Tonjit

Tonjit is an elderly man belonging to a nomadic tribe that resides on Long Ring Long Land.

Rittonto

An anime-only character, Rittonto is Tonjit’s grandson.

Apart from them, Tonjit’s granddaughter is also known to be one of the citizens of Long Ring Long Land.

Animals of Long Ring Long Land

The animals that reside here are longer than average in some aspects, such as a tall horse with a long neck, etc.

Given below are the unusual animals of Long Ring Long Land:

Shelly

Shelly is Tonjit’s horse, an unusually tall horse from Long Ring Long Land.

Daaaschund

The Daaaschund is a long white dog in Long Ring Long Land.

Fox

A long-bodied animal, the fox has tan fur with black markings.

Deer

The deer has a long body, gray fur and horns.

Stork

The stork has a long white body and an orange beak.

Bear

The bear is tall and has white fur on its body. It is occasionally mistaken for being a human.

Trivia

  • According to Tonjit, the vast open plains of this island allow all the animals to live freely without experiencing any physical or mental limitation, which is why they all live such long lives.

  • Due to enormous water displacement, the tide receding to reveal the land-bridge connecting the island together each year is what causes Water 7’s yearly Aqua Laguna tidal wave.

  • The Straw Hats reached this canon island for the first time in Grand Line (and the only one in the Paradise half) without knowing its name beforehand (not including the islands they were blasted to by Kuma). It is possible to say the same regarding Drum Island, with the exception that Wapol confirmed its name before they arrived here.
