Lucky Roux is one of the senior officers and a warrior of the Red Hair Pirates. He is also their chef. He was also the one who found the Gomu Gomu no Mi that Monkey D. Luffy ate.

Past

Lucky Roux was from the South Blue originally. He successfully stole the Gomu Gomu no Mi from a World Government ship 13 years ago, when it was being guarded by Who's-Who and they had committed a "small mistake" at the time.

Romance Dawn

Luffy first met Lucky Roux while he was a member of Shanks' crew. He joined in the fun of his crew as they bragged about the life of a pirate in front of Luffy. The next time a bandit pointed a gun at him and threatened to murder him by first killing the bandit, he was spotted standing by his commander.

Louguetown Arc

Dracule Mihawk shocked Lucky Roux by telling his old enemy about Luffy's rise to fame while he was present. Despite being exhausted after the last celebration, the team nonetheless hosted another one.

Jaya Arc

Lucky Roux was with Shanks and the others when Rockstar returned from Whitebeard. Given that Whitebeard had torn up his letter, he asked about Shanks what he intended to do.

Enies Lobby

Lucky Roux observed the conversation between Shanks and Whitebeard.

Marineford Arc

Lucky Roux believed that he contributed to his crew's successful interception of Kaidou. He stood with Shanks and the rest of the crew as the Red Hair Pirates arrived at Marineford. With food in his mouth, he asked Shanks whether he wanted to meet Luffy for the first time in 10 years. Somewhere in the New World, Lucky Roux went to Ace and Whitebeard’s grave.

Wano Country Arc

With the rest of the crew, Lucky Roux was sailing Red Force in the seas around Wano Country. He was thrilled to finally meet Luffy after all this time, but he was taken aback when his captain showed little interest. Roux remembered that a Luffy fan had been destroying Red Hair Pirates banners and replacing them with Straw Hat Pirates flags when Shanks brought up an ongoing problem in their area. After Shanks questioned him about how seeing Luffy might affect his appearance, Roux reluctantly agreed with his captain's choice.

One Piece Film: Red

Uta planned a performance on Elegia to fulfill her desire to play in front of a global audience. Roux attended the performance.

Egghead Arc

As they returned with Marco to Sphinx, the Red Hair Pirates were joined by Lucky Roux. After arriving at Elbaf, the company met the Giant Warrior Pirates. Later, he was helping the crew in getting ready for the Kid Pirates' attack.

Personality

Roux is frequently shown hanging out with Yasopp, another member of Shanks' crew, giving the impression that he is a very jovial pirate. He frequently appears when the Red Hair Pirates are mentioned, generally when something important occurs, suggesting that he is one of Shanks' most trusted crew members. He has something in common with Yasopp and Benn Beckman. He emphasizes that piracy is a risky way of life. He eats a lot of food and can drink an entire barrel of sake by himself. He has a poor relationship with women.

Appearance

Lucky Roux has a rounded body and is frequently spotted eating an entire rack of meat. He is always seen with goggles covering his eyes. He looks to have altered the least through time and exhibits the least signs of aging out of the complete team. Roux always has a smile on his face, no matter how severe the circumstances are. He wears a green t-shirt with white vertical stripes, a bandanna with the same color on it placed over his head, short beige slacks, a dark green belt around his waist, and green shoes with fur around the ankles. A yellow coat with a fur-lined collar and crimson epaulets with black stripes is slung over his shoulders like a cape.

Lucky Roux is a Senior Officer of the Red Hair Pirates. He is an excellent fighter and has command over crew mates. The World Government and Marines designated him as an extremely infamous pirate. Roux uses a fighting technique known as "Self-Bowling" in which he makes use of his size to his advantage. He has the ability to roll or be tossed about by a friend after curling up into a ball. Lucky Roux was able to covertly approach a mountain thief despite his round frame. His legs are unusually powerful with flexible muscles. He is also the chef of the Red Hair Pirates.
