Marianne in One Piece

Marianne was a Baroque Works officer agent and Mr. 3's companion. She was also known as the "Flag-Bearer of Freedom" and more popularly as Miss Goldenweek. Many of her old coworkers may be seen painting at the brand-new Spider's Cafe where she currently works.

History

Little Garden Arc

Miss Goldenweek and Mr. 3 were instructed by Crocodile to stay and wait for Princess Vivi and her Straw Hat bodyguards on the island of Little Garden after her first meeting and her getaway from the organization. Miss Goldenweek slept off in a wax structure while Mr. 3 briefed Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine on their mission to eliminate the giants since there was a 200,000,000 berries bounty on their heads. Mr. 5 claimed to have successfully poisoned Dorry so the Baroque Works team could quickly dispatch the giants.

Miss Goldenweek awoke as Mr. 3 began pouring the tea and listened as he explained his strategy. Miss Goldenweek supported Mr. 3 as he dealt with the giants. Miss Goldenweek chose not to fight the Straw Hats when they meddled; instead, she went on a picnic.

She painted a black pattern on the ground where Monkey D. Luffy was standing after punching Mr. 3 through his wax wall, which made him ignore Nami's cries for help. After showing the impacts of the other Colours Traps, Miss Goldenweek finished by drawing a green pattern on Luffy's shirt to induce calmness as he joined her for tea.

By setting fire to Luffy's clothing with a Kaen Boshi, Usopp was able to save him. After Mr. 3 emerged from the woods, Miss Goldenweek decorated his wax armor. Usopp realized that they still had a chance to save their friends, and when Miss Goldenweek said that they did, Mr. 3 scolded her.

After Miss Goldenweek painted the wax copies of Mr. 3 that he created after his wax buildings were melted, he and Miss Goldenweek escaped into the woods. However, Luffy noticed the ploy, and Karoo saw Miss Goldenweek attempting to escape.

Miss Goldenweek’s “Operation: Meet Baroque Works”

On Little Garden, Marianne, Gem, and Mikita took refuge in the wax residence. After Crocodile's loss in Arabasta, Baroque Works fled the island on top of a pterodactyl with the use of a Colours Trap in order to get to their allies in prison after learning that they had been found.

The three were thrown at Kyuka Island, where Hina, Jango, Ironfist Fullbody, and their Marine unit happened to be on vacation, but the symbol washed away in a storm. Hina recognized the Officer Agents despite their disguises, fought them, and only managed to capture Mikita.

Later, when Mr. 2 Bon Kurei was engaged in combat with Hina, Marianne, and Gem freed Mikita and took Hina's ship along with several of her Marines by painting a black pattern on it. To get in, they sailed to the Marine jail and claimed to be imprisoned. Crocodile and Daz Bonez remained in the prison after they found and released their fellow inmates.

Miss Goldenweek painted a rainbow swirl in the sky as they soared away, turning everyone into their fantasies. Later, they changed the Cactus Saloon into the current Spiders Cafe, where they all work.

One Piece: Stampede

Marianne was at the Pirates Festival with Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentine.

Personality

Marianne is quite laid back and never misses an opportunity to relax. For example, she organized a picnic when a conflict was still going on. She was also laid-back, as evidenced by the fact that she sat a short distance from a cup of tea since she was evidently too lazy to get up and get it.

Her friend was able to understand this message because of the skilled use of her eyes, and Mr. 3 scolded her but nevertheless handed the cup to her. Despite appearing relaxed, Marianne really takes her tasks very seriously, as seen by the fact that she stopped Luffy from burning her partner's Candle Set in order to rescue his crew.

Appearance

Marianne is a young woman who has a childish look, rather wide eyes, and flushed cheeks. She is pretty short and has twin braids in her dark red hair.

She wears a maroon overall skirt with the top folded down, blue striped stockings, a wide-brimmed pink hat with a green band, a dark blue T-shirt with the word "GOLDEN" written on it in orange, a sky blue cloud-patterned button-down shirt, and large red shoes with white cuffs and soles. She usually is seen eating rice crackers.

Marianne’s abilities, strengths, and fighting style

Marianne uses a unique form of hypnosis that is based on colored paint and her abilities as a painter. She can manipulate people's behavior in this way by using specific colors, changing their personalities, and forcing them to follow the instructions of the trap no matter what.

Baroque Works

Miss Goldenweek shows a lot of concern for the other employees. While on Little Garden, she developed close relationships with Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine and was ready to travel to a Marine base to release the remaining captured spies. Due to their collaboration, she and Mr. 3 had a respectful relationship and became close over the love of hot tea.

Enemies

Miss Goldenweek did not usually show any signs of hostility or fear towards her rivals. The bulk of the Straw Hat Pirates seemed to have no effect on her, but Usopp's fire star and the charges from Luffy and Karoo scared her.
