Navarone Island is an island in Paradise. This place houses a lot of Marines at Base G-8 and this is the island where the G-8 Arc takes place.

Navarone Island is occupied by hundreds of Marines and these soldiers are organized in different groups for various purposes, like the Navarone fighting corps. Vice Admiral Jonathan, who lived here and was an excellent tactician, was known to have tested the limits of the Straw Hats. Navarone Island is also known as ‘the hedgehog’.
The main goal of Navarone Island is to take Marine soldiers who have gotten hurt or injured at sea and repair ships that have been damaged due to weather or battles. Under the G-8 base, there are several prison cells that hold criminals, mostly pirates who were caught.
Vice Admiral Jonathan is the only Marine Admiral stationed at G-8 and he is known to be Akainu’s protege. He is known to be analytical and observant of his enemies and can predict their movements by studying their character.
"Navarone" is a name originating from the 1957 novel (and 1961 film) The Guns of Navarone. Like its One Piece counterpart, it is an island holding a massive, supposedly-impenetrable military fortress that is ultimately overcome by a small band of outsiders.
The island was also featured in the fourth movie as a method for Gasparde to win the race.
