At some point in the past, Ori Ori no Mi (Bind-Bind) Devil Fruit was consumed by Hina, the Marine Officer. Her mastery over this fruit’s abilities have gained her the title of “Black Cage Hina”.
The fruit’s main strength, as proved by Hina, is that it allows the user to bind enemies by using iron-like constructs manifested from their body. Therefore, so far, no one has been depicted breaking free from the cuffs, so it is uncertain if it is possible.
When the user comes into contact with whatever they want to bind, their body will bend in an unusual way and turn into something resembling a massive, constraining metal cuff around the point of contact (with the bending body part fully regenerating afterwards). The user can also shackle multiple objects at once, allowing them to tie a target to the surrounding environment.
The user can also construct flexible metal bars that behave similarly to their body, bending around and confining anything in their path. This strategy gives the user wider range and allows them to encircle their local surroundings in order to catch numerous people at once.
So far, the fruit does not appear to have any unique flaws aside from the typical Devil Fruit flaws. When using more advanced, long-ranged tactics, the user may mistakenly bind teammates and prevent them from fighting.
Hina has mostly used the fruit’s imparted powers to subdue opponents, generally using her own arms and legs. She can simply bind an opponent who goes through her, or she can create a cage out of her arms to enclose them.
Hina has demonstrated the following technique:
Hina closes the cage and binds anyone caught inside after enclosing an area with a fence-like cage of bars that emerge from her arms. The first half of the technique’s name refers to the way the cage’s bars protrude from her arms, which are shaped like kimono sleeves. The second part of the technique’s name comes from the fact that the bars resemble feathers in some ways.
