Piriodo is the third and the last Endpoint in the New World. If Piriodo receives any kind of severe damage, it will cause the volcano underneath it to erupt and cause large-scale destruction.

Piriodo is a rocky terrain with a volcano at its center. As it has a volcano, it acts as a seal to the vast area of subterranean magma under it.
After Z destroyed the first two Endpoints, he went to Piriodo and wanted to do the same to release all the magma that will destroy the entire New World. Just when he finished putting down the Dyna Stones and waited for Armageddon, that is when the Straw Hats and the Neo Marines approached him and came onto the island.
After Z was defeated, Borsalino and the Marines came to the island to take down the Neo Marines and the Straw Hats. After this, Kuzan freezes the place where the Dyna Stones were placed to prevent them from detonating and makes ice which allows Z to fight the marines while the other people escape.
