Sasaki was born on the Grand Line 34 years ago. Before he joined the Beasts Pirates, he was the captain of his own pirate group, the Sasaki Pirates. He decided to become one of the All-Stars by displacing an existing member after joining them.
Sasaki and the Tobiroppo landed in Onigashima after the current Fire Festival had begun. They were allegedly summoned to Kaidou's palace, and while they were waiting, they began discussing who would succeed Queen as the next All-Star. Sasaki praised X Drake's noncompetitive approach as he claimed any interest in advancement, provoking Ulti's wrath by recommending Page One adopt a similar mindset.
Sasaki then revealed why he believed Kaidou had called them, and the other four, along with Sasaki, were astonished when Ulti disparaged their Governor-General. The six were then welcomed by Kaidou at his castle, where they discovered that the King was the one who had called them. King also told Sasaki and Who's-Who to work towards becoming All-Stars.
The Tobiroppo were then given the task of locating Kaidou's son Yamato, with the instruction that if they were successful, they may challenge one of the All-Stars for their position. Later, when his men continued their hunt for Yamato close to the gate on the southwest coast of the island, Sasaki saw Denjiro, whom he still mistook for his comrade "Kyoshiro." As a result, Sasaki let his defenses down, and Denjiro was able to lock him up, leaving Sasaki perplexed by the seeming treachery.
When the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance's onslaught on Onigashima was completely underway, Big Mom launched a huge attack that traveled from the Skull Dome all the way to Sasaki, destroying the holy tree he was bound to and releasing him from his bonds. After that, Sasaki was discovered by his lackeys and, after being made aware of the circumstances, vowed to exact revenge on Denjiro, whom he had previously thought to be a friend.
Later, King called him to let him know that the challenge for the chance to face an All-Star had been called off and that the Tobiroppo was to prevent the opposing alliance from reaching the roof of the Skull Dome, where Kaidou was engaged in battle with the Nine Red Scabbards. The opposing samurai's desire to fight was thus broken by the King, who then ordered the Tobiroppo to deliver him the head of Kozuki Oden's son, Momonosuke.
The child and Shinobu were escaping the castle when Sasaki ran across them in the Right-Brain Tower. He ordered the kunoichi not to meddle and ordered his following soldiers, the Armoured Division, to fire bazooka and arrow bullets at them. Sasaki questioned Yamato's motivations when Yamato intervened to stop the attack just as a Gifter was about to kill Shinobu.
Sasaki watched in amazement and then disgust as Yamato used his body to shield Momonosuke and Shinobu from further explosive bullets before dispatching another Gifter with a single blow, repeating how murdering Momonosuke would accomplish their objective. Sasaki made a remark about Yamato's vow that he would not leave Shinobu behind while he continued to engage his division, taking offense at the suggestion that Yamato might overcome him while retaining dead weight.
General Franky, who was being pursued by the Number Hatcha, came as Sasaki started to draw his sword. The giant then tried to strike the robot by blowing a hole in the floor. Sasaki yelled angrily at his troops to follow Yamato as he used the opportunity to flee with Shinobu and Momonosuke via the hole onto the lower floor. Sasaki ordered them to stand aside before switching into his triceratops shape and assaulting the robot, knocking him down. Franky then overpowered his troops with his General Launcher from within his robot.
Soon later, Sasaki and Franky engaged in a bloody fight. Sasaki, who was still in full Beast Form, continued to charge towards General Franky while the latter fired shots at him with his General Left. By having his robot grasp hold of Sasaki's nasal horn, Franky was able to stop the charge. He then shoulder-threw the dinosaur into the wall behind them, however, Sasaki soon regained his footing.
Sasaki ordered his Armoured Division to hold General Franky as he readied yet another charge upon him. Sasaki rushed at them but was stopped by the sudden appearance of Nami and Usopp, who had used Tama's dangos to corrupt several Gifters into joining their friends. Gifters reportedly assisted Franky in narrowly avoiding Sasaki's accusation. With the arrival of Ulti and Page One, who also assisted Franky in narrowly avoiding Sasaki's charge, the betrayal of the aforementioned Gifters was made clear.
Sasaki's subordinates were subsequently given dangos by Usopp, leading to Sasaki's betrayal. Sasaki was surprised by Franky, who used his "Franken" sword to cut him in the stomach with Shori no V-Flash while the latter was preoccupied. The two fighters heard Sanji's cries for assistance being broadcast across Onigashima while Sasaki continued to spar with Franky, laughing at Sanji's position.
The Tobiroppo member unexpectedly responded after briefly reverting to normal shape to learn of Ulti's and Page One's defeats via another audio broadcast. As Sasaki and Franky's combat went on, Franky began to feel the pressure of intervening with Gifters. On Tama's last command, all surviving Gifters eventually sided with the revolt.
Sasaki said in anger that whether or not the Armoured Division was controlled, they were traitors. After defeating Franky, Sasaki took the stage in his hybrid form and declared his intention to proceed to the Live Floor. With his optimized sword's blade rotation was turned on, and he raised himself into the air with the help of its spinning neck frill.
Sasaki used his sword and frill to slay a number of Gifters with his Heliceratops assault before he crossed blades with General Franky and had his sword just barely deflected aside. Sasaki then attempted to attack Franky again while sprinting forward, but he unintentionally turned his frill in the incorrect direction and was forced to retreat. Sasaki used his Tamaceratops attack to hurl himself at Franky headfirst, wounding General Franky's left shoulder and causing its rocket launcher to malfunction.
Franky responded by suplexing Sasaki, which Sasaki dismissed as him aiming for run-up distance. Sasaki quickly stood up and started engulfing Franky. Franky's Franken was quickly broken, and Sasaki quickly sprang up and started overpowering him with his sword, making Franky to tumble back towards the Live Floor.
Sasaki once more launched his Tamaceratops method to rocket himself forward in order to catch up to his fleeing adversary. Franky used the opportunity to turn around immediately and fire his General Cannon at Sasaki, who was thrown up into the air by the blast. Using his Magnumceratops technique to fly back down quickly, Sasaki stated his intention to bring Franky down with him.
He then struck the General Franky directly in the face with his horn, driving it down and partially shattering it. Sasaki's triceratops belly was his previously reported weak place, but Franky had managed to escape his robot in time. He is now resting next to it and quickly launched his Franky Radical Beam to penetrate right into it.
Sasaki is shown as being very quiet and laid-back outside of battle while being prone to mocking and scoffing at his equal-ranking colleagues. Although he is friendly with people he views to be friends, he will not put up with any betrayal and will make sure the perpetrator is made to pay dearly for their treachery. Sasaki declared his own subordinates to be traitors and was prepared to kill them even after learning that they had turned against him against their will as a result of a Devil Fruit power.
Sasaki is a driven individual who ignores the older players' authority in order to take a slot from the existing All-Stars of the Beasts Pirates. King claims that Sasaki's commitment comes from his experience leading his own crew in the past, which demonstrates a high level of self-confidence on his behalf and leads him to eagerly anticipate the opportunity to square off against an All-Star.
But Sasaki also takes great satisfaction in being a Tobiroppo, saying that his current squad is the reason the Beasts Pirates are so feared.[ Sasaki is proud of his ability to transform into a dinosaur for battle, considering dinosaurs to be the toughest creatures that have ever lived. Additionally, Sasaki is too arrogant to accept his errors in battle and will excuse them as deliberate choices on his own.
He grew enraged when Franky backed away from him during their battle, calling him sleazy, demonstrating that his arrogant disposition also extends to his enemies. As stated by Kyoshiro, who believed Sasaki's looks outside the Golden Kagura was unusual for him; having a fondness for drinking
Sasaki is a blue spine unicornfish fish-man with a stocky physique and fair complexion. He is little about 3.2 meters tall. He has two long bottom canines that protrude out even when his mouth is closed, a pair of sharp, fanged teeth, a moderately hooked nose, and keen, slanted blue eyes that are highlighted by noticeable wrinkles.
He also has a flat chin. He has yellowish-green, shaggy hair that extends to his middle back. Both of his ears are adorned with golden hoops. Around his shoulders, upper arms, chest, and back are inked in black, with several curving, vane-like forms that resemble wings.
Sasaki is seen wearing a distinctive fusion of traditional Japanese clothing with military or dictatorial clothing. A military cap with a low-set, black visor and a puffy, extra-wide, white crown that is dented lengthwise with the front lifted and divided down the middle is on his head. A black band with a row of gold studs running along it runs above the black bottom border, and it holds a golden emblem in the front that is shaped like a double-cross.
A pair of thin, golden horns that spiral upward are set below, front and center, giving Sasaki a rather demonic appearance. The man is otherwise dressed in a seaman's cloak with sleeves that are thrown back and a folded stand-up collar with a crest on either side. The top of the coat is completely white, and it terminates at the waist with a flame design that faces downward in contrast to the remainder of the coat, which is orange.
Sasaki's torso is exposed below, with the aforementioned tattoo partially visible. Sasaki wears a hakama-like garment for lower wear that resembles the bottom half of a double-breasted trench coat and has the same flame design as the cloak. It is fastened by eight grey buttons and kept in place by a golden belt with buckles. Sasaki also wears a pair of brown gloves and double-toothed geta sandals that are greyish brown in color.
Only Kaidou and the All-Stars are rated above Sasaki, one of the Tobiroppo, in the Beasts Pirates. Sasaki, in particular, commands the crew's Armoured Division. Sasaki also formerly had complete control over his own crew as a former pirate commander.
Sasaki, like the other Tobiroppo, is a strong fighter whose capacity to challenge the All-Stars for their position makes him potentially worthwhile. Sasaki was confident in his ability to do so. His ancestry as a fish-man has given him even more power and endurance.
Sasaki was able to hold his own against Franky for a considerable amount of time while his opponent controlled his General Franky throughout the battle, keeping his true body safely within the robot. Sasaki managed to force Franky out of the robot with his own final attack, even destroying part of it, despite the mech being strong enough to withstand a point-blank missile explosion with no damage.
Ultimately, however, Sasaki was defeated by two of Franky's strongest attacks back to back, one of which took advantage of his weakness as a triceratops. Franky praised Sasaki's fortitude as well, saying that Sasaki had resisted multiple finishing techniques throughout their battle.
The Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Triceratops is an Ancient Zoan- Type Devil Fruit. This fruit allows the user to transform into a hybrid or full Triceratops. The user of this fruit has the potential to evolve into a triceptop, a massive, powerful herbivore from prehistoric times.
This fruit offers the user a significant increase in their physical ability, just like the other dinosaur-themed Zoan fruit. Their three horns may be used as a weapon to pierce foes since they are exceedingly sharp. They can also defend themselves from explosives and artillery fire thanks to their hard skin, which also increases their durability. The user's belly button is their weak area, despite the fact that their defense is fairly good.
Sasaki is capable of using his weapon in battle in his hybrid form. In his hybrid form, he can fly through the air with the aid of his entire body by rapidly rotating the frills around his neck in the manner of a helicopter. Sasaki has more mobility and speed as a result of being able to dispatch his adversaries with his swords more quickly.
He can also go forward or backward by rotating his frill in the appropriate direction. He swiftly charges at his adversaries while he is on the ground so that he may cover great distances with ease and build momentum. Sasaki is still working to master his devil fruit abilities.
Sasaki is capable of using Kenbunshoku Haki and Busoshoku. He has never been seen using
either in battle, preferring to rely on his Devil Fruit instead.
Sasaki uses a unique sword he calls Karakuri Rasento in battle. With a series of tiny blade flaps perpendicular to the main blade and a rotating system that lets the blade to spin at high speeds anytime Sasaki activates it, it resembles a portable drill.
By using the Rasento in conjunction with his Zoan transformation, Sasaki can perform a strong, aerial style of swordplay that can easily overwhelm inexperienced enemy swordsmen. Sasaki can also easily cut and shred opponents or their weapons, including other swords.
Sasaki exhibits a strong respect for Kaidou similar to the other Tobiroppo. Sasaki was nonetheless astonished when Ulti disrespected their employer when he was not present. Additionally, he appears to be friendly enough with Kaidou to express his desire to share a drink with him during the Golden Kagura while admonishing him against making small talk with simple subordinates.
However, Sasaki, like Who's-Who, views the existing All-Stars as barriers in his quest to replace one of them, behaving insubordinately towards them and disobeying any summoning orders that don't include Kaidou's name. Sasaki also sees his fellow Tobiroppo as competitors because some of them also want to advance in rank, while being comfortable enough with them to sit and joke about with them.
In essence, he labeled Page One and X Drake as dead weight by mockingly discouraging them from pursuing such growth. Kaidou granted Sasaki and his fellow Tobiroppo the opportunity to fight the All-Stars when he was given the task of locating and bringing Yamato back, and Sasaki gladly accepted. Sasaki, Tobiroppo, and Who's-They are viewed as potentially harmful troublemakers. Sasaki initially had a great admiration for his Armoured Division and noted that he could not afford to lose them.
He let a giant rhinoceros SMILE user carry him on a high-backed chair marked with his name, where he lounged until his personal involvement was needed before heading into war with his soldiers. In the end, Sasaki decided to dismiss the reality that his soldiers had basically been indoctrinated into treason and proclaimed his lauded division to be traitors, whom he was ready to personally dispose of.
When Denjiro pretended to be Kyoshiro, Sasaki considered the man a friend, but after Denjiro betrayed him at the most recent Fire Festival, Sasaki vowed to get revenge on the samurai.
Despite being Kaidou's son, Yamato Sasaki seems to not hold Yamato in high regard, calling Yamato a brat behind his back. He still refers to Yamato as "Young Master," despite the fact that he appeared unconcerned about Yamato's alleged betrayal of the Beasts Pirates.
He had no qualms about going up against Yamato personally and even thought it was an insult when Yamato suggested he could do so while simultaneously defending Shinobu and Momonosuke.
Sasaki and Franky the Shipwright of the Straw Hat Pirates clashed during the Raid on Onigashima, and their combat was fierce and epic. He was taken aback by Franky's easy victory against his subordinates, but Sasaki showed he wasn't going down without a fight.
Both fighters were angry with each other's fortitude as they looked for an opening to take advantage of. Sasaki eventually succeeded in damaging Franky's massive, very effective exoskeleton enough to cause the straw hat to detach, but despite this, he still lost the battle when the cyborg shot a laser beam at his major weak point, his enormous belly.
