The Soru Soru no Mi is a Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit. This fruit allows the user to interact with and manipulate human souls. It was first consumed by Carmel and after her death, it was transferred to Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom.

When Carmel had eaten the Soru Soru no Mi, she had used it to deceive the Elbaf Giants. When she passed away, her powers were transferred to Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom. Big Mom used her devil fruit powers to build her dream city for sixty-three years.
As the fruit hasn't yet been shown in the anime, we don't know a lot about its appearance.
As this devil fruit allows the user to manipulate souls, this consists of manifesting and drawing out the souls of the people who are scared. These souls take the form of a light pink tangible substance that comes out of the person's body like smoke. The user can take the soul by grabbing it once it's surrounded by the target's body and pulling it out. The user can take any amount of the person's lifespan they want, or also all their remaining lifespan, which can kill them instantly.
They can also infuse objects with souls and the user can humanize them. Non-living objects can be brought to life and they can have the ability to stand upright and move independently and also have a human face. Their strength depends on the person whose soul has been put inside them. These are known as Homies. The user can also infuse souls into things that are produced or made by other Devil Fruit users.
As a Vivre card is infused with its owner's soul, when a Soru Soru no Mi user creates a Vivre card, it will allow the person wielding it to command the soul-infused objects as if they were the user themselves. The cards release a pink aura that the objects can see which scares them to obey the person. If they defy the user, their soul is ripped apart.
While the souls can be infused into non living beings, the same cannot be said for living beings. A person can sacrifice their lifespan in exchange for extra power. The strength again depends on the soul that has been ingested.
Even though this devil fruit is quite powerful, it also has limitations. One of them is that the user needs to be close to the target to take away their lifespan as they need to physically grab and pull the soul to extract it out from their body. They can also extract the soul of the person as long as they are scared of them. If the person isn't afraid of the user then the user won't be able to extract their soul.
Even though the user can fuse souls into objects, they can do the same for living objects. However, it appears that a person's soul can be returned to them after being extracted which restores their lifespan to what it was before. Even a lifeless body can be revived this way. Even though homies are fully alive beings, they are susceptible to pain and can also be killed.
Even though Homies don't defy their users, they do have a mind of their own and can turn against the user if they're highly motivated to do so. They can't attack anything that is infused with the user's soul. As Homies have souls implanted in them, they will also have the memories of the person whose soul is in them. If those memories resurface then the homies will carry out the things that are happening in their memory, which will confuse and distract them. The user also had to be in the right state of mind to properly order the homies.
Other than that they have the standard devil fruit weakness, which is the inability to swim.
Carmel used her devil fruit powers to manifest her soul to create homies. She transferred her soul to the flames created by the destruction that was brought by Linlin's rampage at Elbaf and compressed it into a sun homie, Pandora, and convinced the Elbaf citizens that she had summoned the sun god. She also made homies for weather manipulation to trick the giants and let her enter Elbaf.
With her devil fruit powers, Big Mom imposed a toll on all the citizens of Totto and forced them to give up a month's worth of their soul every six months or leave. She called them with the help of her incarnations. She used her power to kill people by taking almost their whole life span.
Big Mom created three special homies out of her strong souls which are quite powerful. These special homies are Napoleon the bicorne, Prometheus the sun, and Zeus the thundercloud. She uses them individually as well as combined to unleash powerful attacks at her enemies. Even though her homies are quite strong, Zeus in particular was quite carefree and went with Nami because she fed him thunderclouds. He later came back to BigMom in Onigashima.
As Big Mom was fed up with Zeus, she made another thunderstorm homie known as Hera and Hera was more in sync with Napoleon and Prometheus than Zeus ever was. Big Mom had told Hera to eat Zeus's soul to become stronger. As Zeus rebelled against Big Mom, she extracted him, which weakened him and Hera devoured him. However, Zeus's soul fragment successfully escaped into Nami's Clima-Tact which granted him a new body.
The techniques used by Carmel and Charlotte Linlin are:
In this technique, Carmel manifests a piece of her soul from the palm of her hand and then infuses it in an object or an animal which turns into a homie.
In this technique, Linlin extracts pieces from her extremely strong soul and makes them capable enough to collect and extract other people's souls with the help of Soul Pocus. These incarnations are intelligent enough to be capable of talking.
This is Linlin's signature technique. In this technique, Linlin can directly speak to the soul's attachment to life and demand that the person either give in to her demands or give her their lifespan. She can take any amount of lifespan that she wants.
Homies are things that have been brought to life and are infused with a soul fragment which gives them the ability to speak and move. Big Mom has four homies.
In this technique, Zeus is summoned on Big Mom's left arm and charges up with electricity, and then slams down on her opponent. She also strikes them down with her superhuman strength and a powerful bolt of lightning.
In this technique, Big Mom uses Zeus to shoot a horizontal lightning bolt at the enemy.
In this technique, Big Mom commands Zeus's lightning to strike through the clouds in all directions. She covers all her surroundings with an electrical thunderstorm. The lighting can change its direction to strike a particular target.
In this technique, Big Mom throws Prometheus at her enemies or uses him to segment her punches. This creates a large and fiery explosion upon impact. These flames are powerful enough to even hurt those who are wearing heat-resistant clothing.
In this technique, Big Mom has Prometheus spit several powerful fireballs at her opponents.
In this technique, Prometheus charges at his enemies and takes the form of a powerful blast that shoots through them.
In this technique, Big Mom swings Napoleon with such force that she creates shockwaves that destroy everything in her path.
In this technique, Big Mom uses Hera to shoot a bolt of lightning at her enemies which creates a large explosion on impact. It destroys anything that comes in its path.
In this technique, Big Mom commands Hera to strike lightning in all directions and causes a thunderstorm in her surroundings.
In this technique, Napoleon turns into its seax form and Big Mom sets the blade aligned with Prometheus flames. This cuts and burns the enemy.
This is a combined attack by Hera, Prometheus, and Napoleon. In this technique, they assemble, and with Napoleon's Gladius blade piercing through with Prometheus as the base and Hera as the tip, Prometheus and Hera merge into their respective elements. This forms several tendrils of lightning and fire that make a circular energy ring between them. Then Big Mom swings Napoleon and unleashes the energy at her enemies.
In this technique, Big Mom infuses Napoleon with Hera's lightning and then jumps in the air, somersaulting forward while holding the blade before striking down with a lightning-powered slash.
This is another combined attack of Napoleon, Prometheus, and Hera. In this technique, they have the Maser Ho formation but instead of firing a beam, they form a continuous blade that Big Mom uses as her sword.
