Swallow Island is an island situated in the North Blue. It is located south of Rubeck Island and Minion Island. After Rosinante’s death, Law chose to settle here for a while and it here, he first met few of his first crew mates.

Thirteen years ago, the Donquixote Pirates were to use the island as a temporary base for their plan to take the Ope Ope no Mi from the pirates led by Diez Barrels. The Marine ships, commanded by Vice Admiral Tsuru, set up an ambush for the crew, who never made it to the island.
After escaping from the Donquixote Pirates, Trafalgar Law settled on this island while still grieving Rosinante’s death. He eventually met Bepo, Penguin and Shachi by defending the former from the latter two. Law earned the respect and admiration of Bepo and Shachi by defeating Penguin and Shachi. The three began following Law and at some point they came together to form the Heart Pirates.
The island’s central mountain formation, which resembles a swallow and is covered in trees, is what makes it stand out. According to a map kept by Donquixote Rosinante, the island is similarly shaped like the aforementioned bird.
Trafalgar D. Water Law, also known by his alias, “Surgeon of Death,” is the captain of the Heart Pirates. After Rosinante’s death, he decided to settle here after escaping the Donquixote Pirates.
Polar bear mink Bepo is the Heart Pirates’ captain and the ships’ navigator. He is the younger brother of the late Nox Pirate Zepo. Bepo met Law in Swallow Island for the first time.
Penguin is the member of the Heart Pirates, who met Law in the Swallow Island after Law decided to live here.
Shachi is also a member of the Heart Pirates who met Law in the Swallow Island.
The names of the English ships that participated in the Battle of San Juan de Ulúa, which Francis Drake (the namesake of X Drake) commanded in the English fleet, gave rise to Swallow, as well as the neighboring islands Rubeck and Minion.
