Current User | Kozuki Toki |
About 830 years ago, Toki consumed the Time-Time fruit and gained the ability to time-travel into the future. Having used the fruit’s ability to travel and live from one time period to the next, it landed herself 30 years before the present where she ultimately settled down and married Kozuki Oden.
She used the last of her ability to send her son and half of the Nine Red Scabbards twenty years into the future. After her death, the Devil Fruit returned to circulation.
The main strength of this Devil Fruit is that it can send its user or others into the future, making them disappear from the present time and appearing at the selected moment in time immediately. This ability provides a great advantage for getting out of dangerous situations. The user can decide the specific amount of time to skip for each trip. The maximum known time of this ability is known to be 20 years, and the effect lasts even after the user dies.
The disadvantage of the same ability is that it does not allow the user to travel back into the past which means that any trip they make forward in time is irreversible. Additionally, the fruit’s power cannot teleport the travelers to different locations, which means the user must be aware of where they or others are standing at the moment of the time-jump. Other than these, the user experiences the standard Devil Fruit flaws.
Throughout her life, Toki utilized her Devil Fruit powers to travel forward into the future, which allowed her to stay in many different time periods. She teleported right away if she found herself in dangerous situations, moving forward to a time period when the threat didn’t exist anymore. She finally used her powers to allow her son Momonosuke and four of the Kozuki retainers to escape from the burning Oden Castle, and ultimately sent them 20 years into the future.
