Torino Kingdom in One Piece

Torino Kingdom is an island in South Blue. It is a small island which has a huge tree growing in the middle of it. The island looks savage, along with its people but in reality, the locals have an extensive library, and the great tree in the middle of the island is covered in plants that are good for making medicines. Tony Tony VChopper was sent here by Bartholomew Kuma and he trained here for two years.

History

The people who live on this island are ruled by gigantic birds known as Masukeredomo Goayu Birds that live in a tree high above. Chopper was sent to this island by Kuma from Sabaody Archipelago and is seen running away from the locals several times, who were trying to capture him and use him as food. Chopper eventually came to terms with the natives and resolved the conflict with them and the giant birds. After receiving Luffy’s secret message, Chopper stayed on the island and trained hard.

Inhabitants of the island

The people of this island are overweight people who dress up in grass skirts and knot their hair back. They have the appearance of a caveman. Some of the inhabitants have an eye tattoo symbol on either of their upper arms and all adults wear a simple necklace.

Despite their appearance, it has been revealed that they have a vast library full of books about different herbs and their medicinal purposes as well as about weapons of a mechanical nature. This implies that they have an advanced culture and higher intelligence than what is seen. All of the inhabitants are short in height.

Torino is the local name of the northern Italian city of Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region.
One of the Masukeredomo Goayu Bird’s birthdays is on 8th December.
