Vinsmoke Reiju in One Piece

Past

Vinsmoke Reiju is the eldest of the Vinsmoke children. She was just three years old when her brothers were born and she had seen her mother and father argue about genetic enhancements. Jude wanted to do genetic enhancements on their sons but Reiju did not understand this till she was much older. After giving birth to her brothers, Reiju’s mother became bedridden and during her final days Reiju visited her and listened to her mother talking about Sanji visiting her. Since she was young Reiju was put under strict training by her father in order for her to get used to their genetic enhancements and develop superhuman abilities. As Sanji was the only one who was unsuccessful in adapting to the training he used to get bullied by his brothers and Reiju used to be on the sidelines. She used to treat Sanji’s wounds and told him that she used to stay silent so that the brothers wouldn't bully her too. When Judge told his children that Sanji passed away (in reality he was imprisoned) in an accident Reiju hid her worry behind a smile while her brothers laughed about it.

During the six months that Sanji was imprisoned, Reiju and her brothers made a lot of progress with their training and their father was proud of them. When her brothers realized that Sanji was still alive and imprisoned they went down there to bully Sanji and later on Reiju used to come to treat his wounds. Once Sanji told Reiju that he wanted to leave the Germa Kingdom and wanted to become a chef, Reiju broke the cell bars and allowed Sanji to run away. Judge disowned Sanji and when Reiju got to know this, she was devastated. She helped him get on a cruise ship and told Sanji that he would meet people who will treat him in the way he actually deserves and told him to never return back to Germa.

Whole Cake Island Arc

During the Whole Cake Island Arc, Reiju met the Sanji retrieval team when they entered Big Mom’s region. She thanked them for taking care of Sanji and then left with her brothers and pretended that they never met them so that the wedding would not be called off. When she met Sanji he gave her a cold shoulder just like the rest of his family and even though Reiju told him to accept his heritage he refused to do so and also did not want to go ahead with the wedding. When Sanji and Judge fought, Reiju was impressed by how strong Sanji had grown and under her father’s orders put exploding wristlets so that they could force Sanji to agree with the wedding. Reiju told him that he could not remove them without the keys.

Later on when they were eating dinner, Sanji argued with Niji over his behavior towards food and women and Reiju saw how much of a gentleman Sanji was. He was then attacked by his brothers who left him in the dining hall after beating him up. Reiju said that she’ll tend to his wounds and asked Sanji why he allowed himself to get beaten up because of a restaurant and its owner (referring to Baratie and Zeff respectively) and wondered why Sanji would return to a place he hates so much. Reiju then told Sanji that he would be able to live a happy life if Pudding liked him. Sanji told Reiju that he came back because it was his choice. While on the way to Big Mom’s palace she witnessed the fight between Sanji and Luffy and when an injured Luffy yelled for Sanji, Reiju asked him if they should stop the carriage but he said no.

After reaching the palace, Reiju and the Vinsmoke family had food with Big Mom and Pudding. Later on when Reiju was walking about, Pudding shot her in the leg and took her captive in her room where she revealed her true self and intentions to Reiju. In order for Reiju to not reveal her plan to the others, Pudding extracted her memory with her devil fruit powers and replaced it with a soldier hitting her with a stray bullet and then Reiju was taken to the medical room by a guard. When she woke up she found Sanji near her bed and he told her what actually happened and Reiju confirmed her suspicions about Pudding. She even told Sanji the truth about his and his brothers’ births. She also told him that she had switched out the exploding wristlets with fakes and told him to leave Whole Cake Island with the Straw Hats.

On the day of the wedding, Reiju got dressed and accompanied her family as they went to the venue. After it was said that the bride and groom were ready, they all assembled and sat together at the central table at the foot of the altar. Reiju prepared herself just in case Sanji and Luffy had a plan to escape and she then saw Sanji avoid the assassination attempt by Katakuri. The Vinsmoke family were held at gunpoint by the Charlotte Family but when Reiju heard Sanji call out to her, she realized that Sanji was there to save them and thanked him for coming back for them. When Big Mom was in rampage mode and screaming, Reiju managed to stay conscious and she and her siblings then went to save Nami, Chopper and Carrot. Reiju saw Sanji confront Judge and win, which made her smile.

Later on when Sanji and Luffy were almost cornered by Big Mom, Reiju and her brothers came just in time to shield them from the incoming attack and she told them to leave the island as soon as possible. Sanji took Luffy and left and the Big Mom Pirates brought anti-Germa bullets and used it on Reiju and her sibling, but despite the injuries they fought till the Straw Hats left. Once they had left Totto Land, Germa 66 prepared to withdraw.

Vinsmoke Reiju is very kind and empathetic and masks this up with a very cool and callous attitude due to her military background and her father not showing compassion. She prefers to be kind but only when she knows that she will not be in danger and in her own comfort. She was concerned about Sanji but never took his side as she was scared that her brothers would also bully her. When Sanji was disowned by the family, Reiju cried in secret so that no one else knew and she even helped him escape Germa Kingdom. Till this day Sanji only remembers Reiju and his mother as the only family members who cared about him and treated him kindly.

Reiju is very mild and reserved and does not like talking about her real thoughts and feelings with others. She has tried to hide the hate that she has for her family with all the wealth and fame and false respect that they have with their heritage. Reiju knows that her kingdom is nothing more than a war machine and the world would be better off without it. The only person she confides in is Sanji. She has great intelligence and good intuitions as she was the only one in her family to know that Pudding was putting up a facade. She can even be calculating and the way she talks can be a bit flirty.

Vinsmoke Reiju is a slim and young woman with shoulder length pink hair which covers her right eye. She has purple eyes and is seen wearing pink lipstick. She had curly eyebrows just like the rest of her siblings which resemble the number 6. She has the number 6 tattooed on both her thighs which refer to Germa 66. While she is in command she wears a raid suit which is a light pink dress with a split in the center down to her stomach and is covered with a gold target symbol which refers to the number 0. She wears dark pink gauntlets with a blue ascot and black headphones with the number 66 on them. She also wears a patterned purple and black coat which looks like moth wings.

Casually, Reiju is seen wearing a short white satin dress with a frilled neckline, a pink cravat and dark high heels with a purple hairband in her hair. She is also seen wearing a red thigh level royal cape during formal events. As a child Reiju wore a dark purple headband with a light pink dress with the letter Z on the right side and dressed with the number 0 with white boots and a dark ascot.

As Vinsmoke Reiju is a member of the Vinsmoke Family, she has political power over the Germa Kingdom and the World Government. She also has access to the advanced technology that is made by her family with the help of the money they have. Due to the genetic enhancements that Reiju got as a kid, she has superhuman physical strength which were honed by rigorous training.

She had something known as an exoskeleton which allows her to take on more damage than a normal human being and has a great recovery rate. She is also very proficient in using her kicks and can move at rapid speeds and can evade any incoming attacks. Reiju also has great medical knowledge and it extends to toxicology as she has a large affinity for poisons.

Poison Pink

As she has genetic enhancements, Vinsmoke Reiju has poison-based powers which got her the nickname ‘Poison Pink’. She can suck poison out of people via mouth-to-mouth and can ingest it as she has great immunity. She can even take in the most lethal doses of poison. When she is consuming the poison the butterfly wings on her outfit have rings on them. She can even secrete poison from her body and can combine it with her physical attacks. This poison can affect and injure her enemies.

Weapon

Vinsmoke Reiju has a technological prowess known as a raid suit which she wears while she is in combat. This suit protects her from fire, bullets and strong blows. It also gives her jet-propelled boots.

Vinsmoke Judge

Reiju shows her father respect on the outside. Reiju defended her father's acts as a noble display of his authority and might, and Reiju's pride in her own royal status is also most likely due to the actions of her father. Despite this, certain changes put on her may have caused her to remain loyal to him, including following his orders in order to accomplish the family's goals. Additionally, she cried in private at Judge's mistreatment of her brother after Judge expelled Sanji from the family. She has also shown shows of hatred for her father for his part in her mother's passing.

Vinsmoke Sora

Reiju visited her mother frequently while she was sick in her later years because she loved her so much. Reiju told Sanji to not feel guilty for their mother's death, even though Reiju is aware that Sora's sudden death was caused by taking a risky medicine meant to reduce the effects of the surgery during pregnancy. Even as an adult, Reiju still remembers her mother with great love.

Vinsmoke Ichiji

Reiju gets along with him well. However, Reiju admitted to Sanji that she believes Ichiji is a murderer who ought to die. She feels bad for him because their father took away his ability to feel emotions, yet she still views him as hardly human.

Vinsmoke Niji

Reiju said to Sanji that she believes Niji is a killer who should die. She feels bad for him because their father took away his ability to feel emotions. Niji seems to care about her even though she hates him because he intervened to save her when Big Mom was pursuing her before Ichiji instructed him to leave her behind.

Sanji

Reiju did not bully Sanji like her other brothers but she did laugh at him whenever he was attacked. She confessed to Sanji, however, that her actions were led by her dread of going through the same bullying from her brothers and that she secretly detested their violent and vicious natures. When Sanji revealed to Reiju that he wished to become a chef when he grew up, she helped him escape the Germa Kingdom by releasing him from the cell he was imprisoned in. Reiju told Sanji that he would meet good people in the world.

Vinsmoke Yonji

Reiju and her youngest brother seem to share a usual sibling connection. She doesn't hesitate to humiliate him in front of others because she is his older sister and feels that his actions are inappropriate. Yonji is irritated by this, but they work together to achieve their father's objectives.

Subordinates

The troops of Germa 66 have the utmost respect and obedience for Reiju. When she jumped from a Germa ship onto the Straw Hats' ship, they addressed her as "Lady Reiju". Reiju informed Sanji that such loyalty was required and that she was aware of it. Reiju, in contrast to the rest of her family, genuinely cares for her employees. She also hates the inhumane treatment of her men.

Straw Hat Pirates

Reiju left a lasting impression on each of the Sanji retrieval team members when she came across them on the outskirts of Totto Land. When the group realized Sanji had an older sister, they were all in disbelief. They were even more astounded when they saw her sucking poisonous material from Luffy's body, yet this act won her their respect and trust. Nami was taken aback by Reiju as she revealed Sanji's past and Brook was equally astounded by Reiju's beauty. Reiju received gratitude from Luffy for saving his life, but she was angry when he insisted that she return Sanji.

Charlotte Pudding

Reiju thought of Pudding as "sweet" and a good match for Sanji as a bride. The political wedding was a ruse, according to Pudding, to get the entire Vinsmoke Family to Whole Cake Island, where Big Mom intended to have them all assassinated. Pudding utilized her Devil Fruit power to change Reiju's memories of their encounter in order to prevent her from stopping her family's strategy.

Big Mom Pirates

Reiju seemed determined to let Big Mom's scheme of assassinating the Vinsmoke family succeed when Sanji told her about it; she declared that their family, including herself, were murderers who needed to be eliminated.
