Killer in One Piece

Killer is a pirate and a combatant from South Blue. He is a part of the Kid Pirates. He is one of the twelve people who are referred to as the ‘Worst Generation’. Killer ate a defective SMILE and took on the alias of Kamazo the Manslayer and became a street murderer, but in reality, he was a secret assassin who was working for Kurozumi Orochi. He, later on, reunited with his crew.

History

Past

Killer was born in the South Blue on an unnamed island. He and Eustass's kid were childhood friends and they ate curry udon with their first love, who was Victoria Shiruton Doruyanaika. She beat them both up when they laughed at her when she spilled curry on herself. This incident made curry udon their least favorite food. Kid had once said that Killer hated his own laughter and that he used to beat anyone up who made fun of it. This made Killer stop laughing eventually and started to wear a mask to hide it. Killer, Kid, Heat, and Wire became bosses of gangs ruling four towns. After Victoria was murdered by a rival gang, Killer unified the four groups and took revenge on the rival gang.

After this, Killer decided to become a pirate and named their ship Victoria Punk. Kid became the crew captain and Killer was his right-hand man. Killer started to become well known and got a bounty of 162,000,000 berries. He and Kid were known to be responsible for a great deal of damage and had caused many casualties. They eventually entered the Grand Line to look for the One Piece. After following the log pose Killer and the rest of the crew arrived at Sabaody Archipelago to prepare to enter the New World.

Sabaody Archipelago Arc

Kid and his crew came to Sabaody Archipelago to prepare themselves for entering the New World. Killer ended up fighting Uroge but the fight was broken up by X Drake. He told them that they should control themselves till they reach the New World. After this, Killer joined Kid at the Human Auctioning House to look at the auction taking place. After Monkey D. Luffy interrupted the auction, the Heart Pirates and his crew were also seen fighting for their escape. The crew managed to defeat the Marines and went back to their ship to escape the island. After destroying the bridge to stop the enemies, they were surprised to see the Marines’ strong will as they continued to chase them even after the bridge was destroyed. After Monkey D. Luffy interrupted the auction, the Heart Pirates were also seen fighting for their escape along with the Eustass Kid’s crew. Killer then joined in the fight along with the Heart Pirates against Bartholomew Kuma.

Marineford Arc

During the Marineford Arc, the Kid Pirates managed to capture a Pacifista and watched a live broadcast of the execution of Portgas D. Ace. Later on the Kid Pirates went to Marineford and watched the war from a safe distance. A few weeks after the war, Kid read a paper that showed Luffy ringing the Ox Bell and as he didn't understand its significance, Killer explained it to him.

Punk Hazard Arc

During the Punk Hazard Arc, Killer, and Kid saw Caesar Clown’s broadcast showing his new weapon of mass destruction via a Den Den Mushi and Killer said that Kid was suitable to be a broker. Later on, he saw Luffy and Caesars fight via video broadcast. The next morning, the alliance between the Straw Hats-Heart-Kid Pirates to take down an Emperor was all in the newspaper and the crew was confused as to how this information got out but then they put it aside, as they had more important things to tend to.

Dressrosa Arc

When Killer, Kid, Hawkins, and Apoo were eating together they got to know about Doflamingo’s defeat. When he got to know that Law and Luffy were on their way to defeat Kaido, Kid said that their target was Shanks. When Kaido mysteriously came in front of them, it was revealed that Apoo actually worked for Kaido and joined them in order to set them up to join Kaidos’s crew. Only Hawkins joined Kaido’s crew while Killer and Kis refused to submit to Kaido and tried to fight him but he defeated them. After this, the Kid Pirates were separated.

Zou Arc

After the fight with Kaido, Kurozumi Orochi offered Killer a chance to save his captain by giving him a SMILE fruit. Later on, Orochi hired Killer as an assassin under him and gave him an alias ‘Kamazo’.

Wano Country Arc

Orochi hired Kamazo aka Killer to kill Toko but he failed to do so, and Killer was sent to the Prisoner Mile in Udon with Kid. Kid asked him what Kaido had done to him and what had happened to their crew but Killer couldn't answer, as he was laughing in tears. In the prison, Killer and Kid underwent torture. After escaping from the prison, Killer helped Kid with gathering metal and they went on their way to Onigashima. Killer and the Worst Generation were seen fighting against Kaido but they were defeated. After recovering from the injuries, he and Law fought against Big Mom.

While Law and Kid were fighting Big Mom, Killer was fighting Basil Hawkins to prevent him from interrupting Kid’s fight with Big Mom. Killer managed to cut down Hawkins and defeated him. He then went to cheer on Kid to win his fight with Big Mom. After Luffy defeated Kaido and everyone won the battle, Killer celebrated the Wano Country’s victory with his crew. After a few days, the Kid Pirates readied themselves to depart and Law gave Killer a copy of a Road Poneglyph. After that, the crew left Wano and went down the waterfall.

Egghead Arc

During the Egghead Arc, the Kid Pirates reached Elbaf, and once they docked off they met the Great Warrior Pirates and the Red Hair Pirates and they all allied together to prepare for battle. Killer told Kid that he should not lower his guard in case someone strong attacked, but Shanks was able to knock them both out. When Shanks left Victoria Punk, it was then split in half by Dorry and Broggy’s Hakkoku and the crew sank with the ship.

Personality

Killer is known to be a bit arrogant and level-headed, but this does not mean that he enjoys violence as he likes to remain fairly silent during the fighting and focuses more on eliminating enemies. Killer is really smart and knows a lot of things like historical facts and gives random information to Kid at times. After the timeskip, Killer is seen to be very calm and polite. He has also become more reasonable and tries to negotiate rather than jump straight into the fight. He cares a lot about his allies. After Killer ate a faulty SMILE, he lost his ability to express negative emotions and can only smile and laugh.

There has been an instance where Killer showed his violent side and took pleasure in killing when he was Kamazo. If he met someone who he was not ordered to kill, he would give them time to get away but if they still stand in his way, he will kill them without hesitation. He is really confident about his abilities and taunts the enemies he defeats. Killer hates his own laugh so he stopped laughing, he also hates anyone who makes fun of his laugh and is willing to kill them.

Appearance

Killer is a very tall and muscular man with wild blonde hair to his thighs. He is seen wearing a plain, white, and light-blue striped full-head helmet with a lot of rows of holes in it with headphones on both sides. He also wears a black shirt with white polka-dots and an open collar that shows his chest with blue riding chaps over his chest. Killer has a red sash around his waist. He carries a pair of handguards that have a long detachable scythe connected to them.

After the timeskip, Killer became more muscular and had a thicker neck. He also has a goatee and a scar on his left arm, his hair became shorter. When Killer became Kamazo the Manslayer, Killer lost his mask and had bandages covering most of his face. He has slanted eyes with blue pupils. His hair is bound and he wore a red violet kimono with yellow sickle-shaped patterns placed on it with a dark violet obi around his waist and cape.

Killer’s abilities, strengths, and fighting style

Killer is known to have a strong will. His fighting style relies on his speed and agility which he uses to overpower his enemies before they can strike him or dodge his attacks. This style tends to be very acrobatic and he is able to attack undetected. He has immense physical strength and has a great level of endurance and stamina.

Devil Fruit

After eating a faulty SMILE, Killer lost his ability to feel negative emotions and his ability to swim.

Haki

Killer is able to use Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki.

Weapons

Killer is seen using a pair of gauntlets with a scythe blade. He is also seen using two regular scythes but he lost them when he was defeated by Zoro.

Relationships

Crew

The Kid Pirates seem to admire him more than Kid, much like his Captain. The team also laughed like Killer out of respect for the state he's in, knowing that he despises his own laugh.

Eustass Kid

Kid and Killer enjoy a strong friendship that goes back to their childhood because they both grew up together. Because Kid refers to Killer as his partner and is aware that the latter is sensitive about his own weird laugh, he recognized something was wrong with his subordinate even though he was unaware that Killer had consumed a faulty SMILE. This prompted Kid to make a hasty attempt to save his comrade, leading to his second capture by the Beasts Pirates after he had previously managed to flee. Killer has often shown his strong dedication to Kid. Killer frequently acts as his captain's voice, ensuring Kid maintains his concentration and does not drift away from his objectives due to impulsiveness. Every time Kid shows interest in a certain subject, Killer also gives him important information about it.

Basil Hawkins

Killer attempted to reach for Hawkins at the gathering of the Hawkins Pirates, the Kid Pirates, and the On Air Pirates to form an alliance, indicating his interest in having the Magician on his side by asking him to stay until they gave their proposal. However, when Kaidou raided the Kid Pirates' stronghold, Hawkins agreed and later turned against them in the Wano Country Arc. During the invasion of Onigashima, Hawkins faced Killer, who mocked him for serving as a genuine watchdog for Kaidou and was certain that he would win.

Roronoa Zoro

Killer and Zoro fought when Zoro tried to defend Hiyori and Toko. Zoro identified Killer as Kamazo during the attack on Onigashima because of his laugh. Killer claimed that the outcome of their fight would have been different if he had utilized his Punishers, to which Zoro countered that the outcome would just be the same.
