Amado Sanzu’s Background

Amado, a skilled scientist and former member of the Kara organization, suffered a devastating loss when his daughter Akebi passed away from an unknown illness twelve years prior to the attack on Konoha by Isshiki Ōtsutsuki.

Despite this tragedy, Amado refused to give up on his beloved daughter and believed that he could bring her back to life by using advanced cloning technology. He planned to preserve Akebi's brain and transfer her memories into a new body, rather than attempting to find a cure for her disease.

Amado Sanzu in Boruto.

However, Amado's hopes were shattered when his daughter's clones, who were later named Delta, turned out to be completely different individuals despite having the same appearance and memories as Akebi. Amado made numerous attempts to recreate Akebi's personality, but his efforts were all in vain.

The scientist's heart was broken as he came to the realization that his daughter was gone forever. It was at this point that Jigen, the leader of the Kara organization, approached Amado and offered to bring Akebi back to life if Amado assisted him in his nefarious plans. Amado, desperate to see his daughter again, accepted Jigen's offer without hesitation.

Amado's skills and expertise were highly valued in the Kara organization, and he rose through the ranks to become an Inner, serving as the head of the research and development division. He was known for using Scientific Ninja Tools to enhance the abilities of various Kara members. Additionally, he studied the remains of Shibai Ōtsutsuki, who is referred to as an Otsutsuki God, and was able to transplant his DNA to imbue other Kara members with his powers.

As he delved deeper into his research, Amado gained a great deal of knowledge about the Ōtsutsuki Clan. He eventually uncovered Isshiki's true motive, which was to destroy all life on the planet. This revelation made Amado realize that his efforts to resurrect his daughter Akebi would be futile in the face of such a catastrophic event.

Determined to stop Isshiki, Amado shifted his focus to finding a way to defeat him. However, he continued to hold onto the hope of resurrecting Akebi. He discovered that the Kāma resurrection technique had the ability to restore a person's personality, which was something he had been unable to achieve through his previous cloning attempts.

Amado also created powerful cyborgs, including Ada and Daemon, who surpassed even Jigen's abilities. However, Jigen realised that cyborgs with such tremendous prowess would neglect his authority as the leader and he ordered the cyborgs to be eliminated. Amado gave Ada the Senrigan, which gave her the ability to captivate anyone who saw her, except for blood relatives and the Ōtsutsuki Clan.

On the other hand, Daemon, another of Amado's creations, was imbued with the ability to swiftly turn an attacker's attack against them. Ada’s unique ability prevented her from being eliminated. This caused Ada to develop a deep hatred for Amado, as he had taken away her ability to be genuinely loved.

Amado's genius was not hindered by this setback, and he continued to devise new plans to defeat the Ōtsutsuki. When Amado acquired genetic information on Jiraiya, he came up with a new plan to create a clone, Koji Kashin, who would be his secret ally with the goal of taking down Isshiki through his vessel, Jigen.

With his experience in Kara and his knowledge of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, Amado became a valuable asset and served as an Inner, and the head of research and development for the organization. However, Jigen forbade Amado from ever leaving the headquarters, fearing that his knowledge could fall into the wrong hands and become a threat to their goals. Any attempt to leave would be seen as an act of treason and could result in Amado's execution.

Amado was involved in a project to transfer a Kāma, a mark that grants immense power, to various children, with the goal of finding a vessel for Isshiki. However, the project was met with many failures, as one child after another died. Despite Amado's suggestion to change methods, Jigen insisted on continuing with the same plan due to time constraints.

Eventually, only two children, Kawaki and Code, survived the process, with Kawaki being the successful vessel while Code gained the White Kāma. Amado modified Kawaki with Shinobi-Ware, but Jigen forbade him from putting in an emergency shutdown command. In the anime, Amado secretly gave Kawaki a drug to weaken the Byakugan, which slowed down his Kāma development.

Despite Code's failure to become a vessel, his White Kāma gave him incredible power beyond that of Jigen. Despite Amado's usual protocol of destroying failed experiments, his unwavering devotion to Isshiki, and the Otsutsuki clan, led Jigen to spare Code's life and instead place various limiters on him.

In the anime, Amado witnessed Kawaki using his Kāma to defend himself against Garō. When his research on the human heart reached a dead end, Amado augmented Ōga's brain to assist her. However, her attempt to study Jigen's heart was seen as treason, and she fled after Jigen gave her brain damage.

Ao Arc

In the anime, Victor's body was gradually deteriorating, and he turned to Amado for assistance. However, Victor refused Amado's offer to extend his lifespan by replacing his failing body parts, stating that he didn't want to be a test subject again. Suddenly, Victor had a seizure, and Amado was able to stabilize him. Delta then contacted Amado, expressing dissatisfaction with the modifications he made to her body. Shortly after, Jigen contacted Amado to discuss the next phase of their plan to create the perfect "Vessel."

Amado was hesitant to proceed, but Victor appeared and offered one of his stealth blimps to transport the Vessel for the field test. Amado was suspicious of Victor's sudden cooperation, but eventually accepted his offer with the condition that he wouldn't be directly involved in the transportation.

Unbeknownst to Jigen and the other members of Kara, Amado had a secret plan to betray Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. He had Koji Kashin shoot down the blimp during the transportation, causing it to crash and enabling Kawaki to escape. Moreover, he had planted coordinates on the blimp that would lead Konoha to discover the location of Isshiki's Ten-Tails.

After Deepa's betrayal, Jigen began to doubt Victor's claims about the thief. To get to the bottom of the matter, Amado restored Deepa's brain to uncover the truth. It was then revealed that Victor had actually betrayed the organization, stealing their resources for his own agenda. During a physical check-up on Jigen, the leader voiced his suspicions that someone else may have taken advantage of Victor's betrayal to mask their own actions in causing the blimp to crash. Amado promised to investigate this possibility.

In an effort to uncover the traitor, Amado called all the Inners for body checks under the pretense of maintenance. Delta, the "I" member, prepared to test the maintenance work on her body when she was unexpectedly attacked by Code, who had decided to take matters into his own hands. He began to interrogate Delta, accusing her of being the traitor.

However, Delta countered, pointing out that Code seemed the most pleased at the vessel's disappearance. Code was enraged and prepared to attack Delta, but Amado arrived on the scene to calm things down. Amado then revealed that the system check on everyone had revealed no signs of treachery.

However, Delta remained wary of Amado, suggesting that he could be using the situation to hide his own treachery. Despite Amado's insistence that he had nothing to gain from clearing the innocence of others if he was the traitor, Delta continued to be suspicious of him.

Kawaki Arc

In the anime, there was a conversation between Amado and Jigen about Delta's involvement in the "vessel" recovery mission. Amado questioned Jigen's decision to allow Delta to go check on the progress of the mission herself, as it could make things difficult if people were moving around freely. However, Jigen dismissed Amado's concerns and instructed him to keep everyone away from him for a while, to which Amado complied.

Later, Amado asked Code to bring Boro in for his maintenance check. Code initially refused, saying that he was not allowed to leave the base without Jigen's permission. However, Amado convinced him by assuring him that he would vouch for Code's actions and that it would be helpful to Jigen.

Then, Amado was seen sitting at his desk, monitoring the data on his desktop. He noticed that Delta's drone had arrived at the Kara base and connected to one of her body's terminals. Amado quickly entered a few commands and watched as Delta kicked open her containment in a fit of anger after waking up.

He grumbled about Delta's habit of breaking the lid of her containment all the time, but she snapped back at him, telling him to focus on his job if he had time to complain.

Later, Amado attended a meeting with the other Inners, where he learned that Boruto Uzumaki possessed his own genuine Kāma. During the meeting, Amado also informed Code about the results of Boro's scanning, confirming that he was not the traitor

After Jigen's successful battle against Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, resulting in the former's sealing, he returned to the headquarters of Kara with his body showing signs of severe damage. Amado immediately attended to him, hooking him up to some sort of medical equipment to treat his injuries.

However, Amado was highly critical of Jigen's recklessness, commenting that it would take at least two days for him to recover fully. Despite this, Jigen appeared almost excited at the prospect of what was happening.

He explained that he couldn't help feeling thrilled by how fast Kawaki's Kāma was evolving, especially when he saw it synchronizing with his own. He speculated that his exposure to Boruto Uzumaki's Kāma was responsible for this development and that Boruto was undergoing a similar transformation.

Jigen was convinced that this would ultimately lead to the two becoming "perfect Ōtsutsuki" and forming a God Tree to consume the planet. He assured Amado that everyone would receive what was promised, but Amado appeared crestfallen and looked away from him.

As Jigen was still recovering with less than 10% of his power restored, Koji Kashin suddenly reappeared. Knowing that Boro was guarding the imprisoned Naruto Uzumaki and Code was overseeing the Ten-Tails, Amado realized that Koji would take advantage of this situation to assassinate Jigen.

Amado quickly gathered his essential tools and equipment to continue his work, confident that he could complete his research with the scientific equipment that Konoha had at their disposal. Delta approached them and realized their plan to kill Jigen, but before she could take any action, Amado activated a command to deactivate her. Koji then summoned a toad to transport Amado and reverse summoned them to the outskirts of Konohagakure.

Amado encountered Team 10, who tried to stop him, but he used his advanced technology to incapacitate them. He then took Shikadai Nara hostage and placed an explosive collar on him to use as leverage against the reinforcements sent by Ino Yamanaka, who was contacted by Inojin Yamanaka.

Amado managed to contact Shikamaru Nara and was relieved to learn that Naruto had been rescued, making his attempt to defect to Konoha more worthwhile. In exchange for refuge, he was willing to share his intel on Kara, Jigen, the Ten-Tails, and the Ōtsutsuki Clan, with Konoha. Following his detainment, Amado was bold and unapologetic during his interrogation.

Looking to solidify his claim of seeking asylum, he was cooperative and provided valuable information especially after Naruto, the Hokage, assured him that he would not be betrayed. Amado revealed a shocking truth about the Ōtsutsuki clan, stating that they had been traveling from planet to planet, harvesting chakra for their own evolution and empowerment while destroying the planets in the process. He also disclosed that Jigen was once human but was turned into an Ōtsutsuki by Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, who branded a Kāma on him.

Amado admitted to sabotaging the blimp, allowing Kawaki to escape and ensuring that Sasuke Uchiha would obtain vital intel on Isshiki. During the interrogation, Amado's glasses suddenly beeped, and he removed them to reveal a holographic projection of Jigen and Koji Kashin talking. It was then revealed that Koji and Amado were working together, with the former aiming to kill Jigen.

This information left everyone stunned and forced them to reconsider their plans for the future. Amado continued to reveal his secrets, with the condition that he be accepted into Konohagakure and granted amnesty and protection. He revealed that Jigen was nothing more than a puppet being controlled by Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, who had turned Jigen into his vessel after being mortally wounded.

Amado explained that Isshiki and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki were once partners, but had a falling out. He also shared that the Kāma was a tool used by the Ōtsutsuki to cheat death, with the mark being used to resurrect themselves in a new body. He stated that neither Isshiki nor Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki could be allowed to return to this world and that he knew how to properly kill an Ōtsutsuki.

Amado insisted that he would share his knowledge with them, but only if his conditions were met. As he spoke, they watched Koji reveal his true intentions against Jigen, further confirming Amado's revelations.

As the fierce battle between Jigen and Koji Kashin raged on, Sasuke grew concerned about Kawaki, fearing that he may be possessed by Isshiki, the last remaining vessel of the Ōtsutsuki. Just then, Kawaki burst into the room and charged at Amado, but Sasuke managed to block his attack. Amado then revealed a startling truth - when someone branded with a Kāma dies, they are instantly transformed into an Ōtsutsuki, regardless of their intentions.

He explained that Kawaki's Kāma had not yet fully extracted Isshiki's data, so Isshiki was unable to resurrect himself through Kawaki's body. However, when Koji killed Jigen, it forced Isshiki's resurrection on the imperfect vessel, causing Kawaki's Kāma to disappear. Amado theorized that this was a security feature of Kāma, preventing the creation of duplicate Ōtsutsuki. Everyone realized that Isshiki was now vulnerable to permanent death since he had no Kāma left.

With the paperwork complete, Amado was officially recognized as a citizen of Konohagakure and was even permitted to work with the Scientific Ninja Weapons Team. However, he was not allowed to leave the village without at least two escorts of Shikamaru Nara's ranking, and all of his research was to be made available to Katasuke Tōno at any given time. This arrangement was made after Naruto had given his word as Hokage that he would not go back on his deal with Amado.

After agreeing to the conditions set forth by Konohagakure, Amado informed the group that the bomb on Shikadai Nara's neck was a fake. He warned them that Isshiki, who had now resurrected in an imperfect state and would die in a few days, would be even more determined to find a proper vessel for himself, making Kawaki a prime target. Amado urged the officials to evacuate the village and keep Kawaki under the protection of both Naruto and Sasuke, ensuring that Isshiki would not rebrand him.

As expected, Isshiki soon arrived in the village, and Kawaki was taken away by Sai and Shikamaru, while Naruto and Sasuke confronted Isshiki. Amado was instructed to join them in an underground facility, where they assured him that preparations had been made to protect against Isshiki's Byakugan.

In the facility, Kawaki woke up and was briefed on the situation by Amado. Amado tried to comfort Kawaki, assuring him that they didn't need to defeat Isshiki, only to prevent him from rebranding Kawaki until Jigen's body gave out. Kawaki expressed concern for Boruto Uzumaki's safety, as he had also gone to fight Isshiki, but Amado speculated that Boruto had his own value in the fight. With time running out, the group prepared for the final showdown with Isshiki, hoping to protect Kawaki and prevent Isshiki's resurrection.

Amado revealed to the officials that Boruto's Kāma made him invaluable to Isshiki. The God Tree, a plant necessary for the Ōtsutsuki to attain full power, could only reach maturity by consuming an Ōtsutsuki. However, once Boruto's mark had transformed him, Isshiki could sacrifice the genin instead of himself. Kawaki was enraged by Amado's cool demeanor and demanded to know how much of this plan he had orchestrated.

Amado replied that he had made the best choices available to him. After the Konoha-nin managed to calm Kawaki down, Amado casually asked if Kawaki was more upset about his powerlessness or losing his purpose without his Kāma. Kawaki did not respond.

Amado was fascinated by Kawaki's prosthetic arm, noting that it was powered by Naruto's chakra, and offered to restore it for him. Kawaki informed Amado that Naruto's chakra was weakening through the prosthetic arm, leaving Amado surprised. Suddenly, Kawaki was ripped away by a portal in his prosthetic arm.

Amado was lost in thought about what to do next when he received word that Naruto and the others had returned safely and defeated Isshiki. Amado responded with a flat tone, perhaps pondering on the new developments and what they would mean for his future plans.

Chunin Re-Examination Arc

On the day of the Chūnin Exams finals in the anime, Amado found himself accosted by a group of men at a train station. They forcibly took Amado and forced him onto a train car that quickly departed. The destination was a dark and foreboding warehouse, where the men revealed themselves to be from the Land of Rivers.

They made a tempting offer to Amado, with promises of great wealth and power, in exchange for his scientific knowledge. However, Amado was resolute in his rejection of their offer, refusing to cooperate with those who sought to use his work for their own gain.

The men were undeterred and decided to take Amado by force, but he was not without his own means of defense. Concealed within his clothing, Amado had a tool at the ready, poised to strike. In the midst of the ensuing confrontation, Boruto and Mitsuki appeared, coming to Amado's rescue. Together, they battled the aggressors, but the conflict came to a fiery conclusion as the warehouse exploded.

Despite the danger he faced, Amado remained calm and composed throughout the ordeal. As Boruto and Mitsuki expressed their relief that he was unharmed, Amado simply thanked them before reminding them of the importance of the Chūnin Exams finals, urging them to depart swiftly.

Code's Assault Arc

After restoring Kawaki's arm using his cell samples, Amado refrained from asking Kawaki anything further. He then had a meeting with Naruto and Shikamaru, where he discussed the remaining threats on Earth, including the missing Ten-Tails seed and the last Inner known as Code. Despite these threats, Amado assured them that there were other means of Space-Time travel besides ninjutsu to find the seed and that the defeat of the last active Inner would cause all Outers to cease functioning.

However, he also warned them of Code's formidable strength and the implanted limiters that could be removed if he was captured and tortured. Amado also mentioned Code's unyielding loyalty to Isshiki and his desire to avenge the Kara founder's demise by seeking out and killing anyone responsible. Naruto took Amado's warnings seriously and requested Shikamaru to organize a Kage Summit to address these threats.

Following their earlier conversation about the remaining threats on Earth, Naruto turned to Amado for advice on how to handle his son Boruto's Kāma. Amado empathized with Naruto, understanding the desperation of a father trying to save his child. He offered Naruto a supply of pills specifically designed to weaken the visual prowess of Byakugan users, theorizing that as the Hyuga clan had ancestral ties to the Ōtsutsuki, it may help slow down or even halt the progression of Boruto's Kāma.

However, he cautioned that the pills were only a temporary solution and could have potential side effects if overused. In the anime, proper dosages of the pills proved successful in halting Boruto's Kāma progression, and in exchange for his assistance, Naruto allowed Amado to advise the entire Scientific Ninja Weapons Team.

When Code's Claw Marks were detected near Konoha, Shikamaru tasked a guard to keep a close eye on Amado, recognizing that he was the only person capable of removing Code's limiters. Amado himself acknowledged that if Code managed to capture him, he would likely break under torture and undo his limiters, as he was not a shinobi trained to endure such conditions. He urged Shikamaru to do everything in his power to protect him.

Following a checkup, Kawaki woke up from a nightmare about Code where he declared he was no longer a Vessel. However, Amado corrected him, explaining that even with the Kāma gone, Kawaki's body had already been partially modified into Isshiki's being. Though Kawaki was furious, Amado revealed he was aware of Kawaki's idea to use a new Kāma to save Boruto's life by branding Code with it.

However, Amado pointed out that Code already possessed a different Kāma, which made it uncertain if Kawaki's plan would work. He also informed Kawaki that if he allowed Amado to rebrand him, he could gain access to Isshiki's powers without the fear of being possessed by the man. Amado mentioned that Kawaki desired power to protect Naruto, and he warned that Naruto, now without Kurama's power, would likely lose against Code even with his limiters. Nevertheless, Kawaki refused the offer and stormed out of the room.

Later, Sumire approached Amado and asked him about his intentions to rebrand Kawaki. Although Amado noted that Sumire should have kept quiet if she wanted to spy on him, he revealed that his goal was to help the village. He assured her that her fears were unfounded and revealed his latest project, a container that held a powerful new ally for the village. Amado was working on this with Katasuke.

Amado had a meeting with Shikamaru, who still harbored doubts and distrust toward him. Despite this, Amado was quick to reassure Shikamaru that he had not accounted for the recent events, particularly the strong bond that had formed between Kawaki and Naruto. Their conversation was interrupted when they received news that Kawaki had left the village and was suspected to be engaged in battle with Code.

Amado was surprised that Code had located Kawaki so quickly, given that he had no sensory abilities. He pondered the possibility that an Outer was involved, but dismissed the idea as unlikely, as he did not know of any Outers with such advanced skills. Lost in thought, Amado ignored Sai's report and prayed silently that Kawaki would not ruin everything they had achieved thus far, especially since he had secretly reactivated Kawaki's Kāma.

Omnipotence Arc

After returning to Konoha, Amado had a conversation with Boruto, who explained his resurrection through Momoshiki's Kāma. Although Momoshiki was no longer capable of resurrecting, Amado was still worried that his consciousness might take over Boruto again. However, Boruto felt different, claiming he could better control Momoshiki's power now. Amado conducted tests and confirmed Boruto's situation with Shikamaru.

Shikamaru, in turn, questioned Amado roughly, as he was concerned that Amado re-applied the Kāma to Kawaki without his consent. Amado defended his actions, stating that Kawaki wanted the power to protect Naruto and pointed out that Shikamaru was still alive because of it. However, Shikamaru remained suspicious of Amado's fixation on Kawaki's Kāma.

During their conversation, Code suddenly appeared, having placed a Claw Mark on Shikamaru to track him. He seized Amado, who warned him that his intrusion would be detected. To Amado's surprise, Code also knew how to lift his power limiters. However, Shikamaru had a plan, having purposely gone to see Amado alone as bait for Code.

Amado realized Shikamaru's intent when he saw a cyborg case and commanded it to wake up, revealing it to be a reprogrammed Delta. Delta pinned Code down, and Amado was even more shocked when Code summoned Ada through a Claw Mark.

Amado was struck with fear upon seeing Ada, which did not go unnoticed by Shikamaru. Suspecting that something was off with Ada's presence, Shikamaru requested Ino to connect him to Amado to inquire about her abilities. Amado went on to explain how Ada's allure worked, warning Shikamaru against resisting her as it could potentially harm his mind.

Despite this, Shikamaru managed to break free from Ada's hold using his Shadow Imitation Technique. However, Code began to torture Amado for his cooperation, causing him immense pain. Amado was surprised to hear that Ada had developed feelings for Kawaki, and was taken aback by Shikamaru's proposal for her to join Konoha in order to express her feelings to him.

Ada was contemplating an offer made to her while being aware of the precautions taken against her abilities. As she deliberated, Amado informed Shikamaru of her powerful Senrigan through the usage of Ino Yamanaka's jutsu. Meanwhile, Code continued his merciless torture of Amado.

However, when Ada revealed that Kawaki was approaching, Code disclosed a surprising fact - that Ōtsutsuki beings were impervious to her charm. Despite the revelation, Amado and Shikamaru continued to engage in a heated argument. This altercation was abruptly interrupted when Code, using his formidable Claw Mark, transported Amado back to their base.

Upon arriving, Amado pleaded for mercy and, as a sign of submission, removed the limiters that had been placed on Code's powers. Despite Amado's show of compliance, Code remained resolute in his decision to kill him. However, in a desperate bid to save himself, Amado appealed to Ada's interest in Kawaki, reasoning that her best chance of developing a relationship with him would be to accept Shikamaru's offer to join Konoha.

Ada's contemplation of the proposal led to a significant turn of events. She ultimately decided to dissolve her alliance with Code, tasking Daemon to intervene and stop him from carrying out his murderous intent on Amado. Following Code's retreat, Amado revealed to Daemon and Ada that Kawaki was his secret weapon in Konoha, as no one was powerful enough to stop him.

However, he also informed them of a secret shutdown command that he had implanted in Kawaki, making him the only one capable of keeping the young man in check. Daemon, however, was confident that he could handle Kawaki himself. Still, Amado's objectives were different, and he needed Kawaki's Kāma for his own purposes.

Although explaining his intentions would be a lengthy process, Amado suggested that they all go to Konoha, where he could elaborate on his plans and mediate their alliance. Amado subsequently contacted Shikamaru and provided him with a detailed update on the events that had transpired, including the removal of Code's power limiters and Ada's acceptance of his offer.

He also cautioned Shikamaru against turning Ada and Daemon into enemies. After the call, Ada expressed her dissatisfaction with being referred to as a mere pawn in the game and warned Amado to keep his word on helping her with Kawaki or face the wrath of Daemon.

As they traveled by train to Konoha, Amado noticed Ada spying on something intently. As the journey progressed, he grew increasingly flustered by her behavior, while also finding Shikamaru's ideas about their alliance intriguing.

After arriving in Konoha, Ada, and Daemon immediately flew off, leaving Shikamaru surprised. Amado then informed him that they should expect Boruto and Kawaki to display their abilities soon. Later on, Naruto joined Shikamaru in questioning Amado about the things he had been hiding from them.

Amado proceeded to explain Ada's and Daemon's unique abilities, revealing that they were transplanted shinjutsu from the remains of Shibai Ōtsutsuki. Shikamaru raised a question about how Shibai could have died when he had access to Kāma, to which Amado confessed that he did not know for certain. He theorized that Shibai had possibly transcended to a higher form of being that did not require a physical body, and had chosen to discard it.

Amado then disclosed his main motivation, which was the resurrection of his daughter. He revealed that he had added her data to Kawaki's Kāma, so all he had to do was apply the Kāma to a cloned body that he would provide. Shikamaru consulted with Katasuke to verify the plausibility of Amado's technological claims, which offended Amado.

He then asked Ada to confirm the story about Akebi, which she did. Shikamaru found Amado's goal anti-climactic, but he understood his motivation as a parent. When Kawaki asked if the process would turn Akebi into an Ōtsutsuki, Amado admitted that he did not know since there was no precedent for it. He considered it his last resort to resurrect his daughter.

Later, Sai delivered the troubling news to Amado: Naruto and Hinata had gone missing, and Kawaki was believed to be responsible. The news struck a chord with Amado, particularly when Sai mentioned the possibility of using extreme measures due to Kawaki's noncooperation.

In response, Amado communicated with Shikamaru through telepathy, explaining that he had installed a shutdown command on Kawaki. He offered to help in exchange for Shikamaru's assurance that they would not harm Kawaki. However, Shikamaru refused, citing Kawaki's actions and emphasizing that he would become an enemy of Konoha if he continued to resist.

Amado pleaded with Shikamaru to consider his proposal, but Shikamaru remained steadfast in his decision to take a hard line with Kawaki.

Amado Sanzu’s Personality

Amado is a man who exudes stoicism and detachment, displaying a remarkable bluntness in expressing his opinions, regardless of how others might perceive him. He indulges in smoking and seems to enjoy a regular cup of coffee. Despite his respectful demeanor, he appears to have little regard for the lives of others when pursuing his goals, much like Jigen. However, he does not believe in sacrificing lives needlessly and is more practical in his approach.

He believes that when a project shows no signs of improvement after a certain period, it should be abandoned for an alternative one. The source of Amado's aloofness and lack of emotional expression stems from a tragic event in his life - the loss of his daughter, which has left him deeply brokenhearted.

He failed to save her, and his attempt to recreate her in Delta has only added to his sorrow. He finds her violent and destructive tendencies to be annoying, and he reprimands her for her unnecessary actions, such as kicking open the lid of her spare body's containment unit. Despite this, there is still a part of him that sees Delta as his daughter, as evidenced by the solemn and longing gaze he directed towards her when Jigen mentioned that every member of Kara's wish would be granted.

Initially, Amado's allegiance to the Kara organization was solely driven by his self-interest. He hoped that Isshiki Ōtsutsuki would revive his daughter Akebi in exchange for his loyalty. However, when Amado realized that Isshiki's plan would ultimately lead to the destruction of the planet and that Isshiki may not even keep his promise, he reneged on their deal.

He conspired with Koji Kashin to eliminate Isshiki, believing that there was no point in having his daughter back if the planet was destroyed. Amado became determined to get rid of the entire Ōtsutsuki Clan, viewing their actions throughout history as vile and parasitic. Driven by his newfound goal, Amado took a significant risk and defected to Konoha.

He offered all his knowledge on Kara, Jigen, the Ōtsutsuki Clan, and their Ten-Tails to his new allies, even putting his life in danger in the process. Despite forming an alliance, Amado remained a schemer, secretly reapplying a Kāma to Kawaki without anyone's knowledge or approval, as well as an emergency shutdown command.

Amado's transformation from a self-serving member of Kara to a determined and principled defector demonstrates his sense of morality and concern for the greater good. His willingness to betray his former comrades and risk his life to save the planet is a testament to his character and his belief that the actions of the Ōtsutsuki Clan must be stopped at all costs.

Amado is a remarkably composed individual who rarely allows his emotions to get the best of him. Even when he found himself technically imprisoned by Konohagakure, he remained steadfast and focused on achieving his objectives. He displayed a methodical and intuitive nature, having established various factors to maintain leverage in his dealings.

Amado is a shrewd business-minded individual who does not waste time, even when apologizing for his actions. He held Shikadai Nara hostage with an explosive collar but refused to remove it before completing negotiations. He is highly manipulative and capable of using simple baiting and mind games to achieve his goals.

He views himself as someone who plays the odds, taking advantage of the situation to the best of his ability, like playing chess. Despite his calm demeanor, Amado admits to having limitations. He openly acknowledges that he is not a man of indomitable will and is unable to endure torture well.

He is capable of showing fear, as evidenced by his reaction when placed at Code's mercy, where he quickly begged for his life. For Amado, survival is the ultimate priority, and he sees no value in pride when it comes to securing his position. In pursuit of his goals, he is even willing to create problems to which only he can offer a solution.

Amado holds Jiraiya in high regard, admiring him for the great destiny he bore. This admiration may have led Amado to create Koji Kashin, a clone of the late Sannin, as a means of continuing that legacy. This suggests that Amado believes in the concept of destiny being determined by one's genes, an idea that Isshiki Ōtsutsuki also subscribes to.

Despite his serious and calculated demeanor, Amado has a peculiar sense of humor, as evidenced by his joking about the possibility of killing Kawaki to prevent Isshiki's revival, even though he had already taken steps to prevent that outcome. He also enjoys playing pranks, as seen when he smirked at Shikamaru's demand to disarm the bomb around Shikadai's neck before revealing that it was fake.

In the anime, Amado feels a sense of gratitude towards Konoha for taking him in, despite the questionable means by which he joined their ranks. He values the village's approach to science, seeing it as a means of progress rather than a tool for power. This is demonstrated by his rejection of a tempting bribe to defect to another village.

Amado Sanzu’s Abilities

Amado's contributions to Kara stem from his unparalleled intellect and expertise in science and technology. He lacks combat skills and is not a ninja, distinguishing him from other members of the organization. Nevertheless, his talents are a significant source of power for Kara.

Amado does have some proficiency in Yin Release, which allows him to project a lifelike image of himself to communicate with others across vast distances, even crossing dimensional planes. His scientific prowess is so advanced that it allows him to create and manipulate advanced technology that far surpasses the limits of conventional knowledge.

Kawaki has been known to praise Amado's expertise in the field of technology, considering him to be a genius in the subject matter. Even the formidable Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, who was known to be very particular in his choice of subordinates, had sought Amado out for assistance in his grand schemes.

Amado's proficiency was further acknowledged by Konoha's lead scientist, Katasuke Tōno, who recognized the former Inner's intellect to surpass even his own. Despite the full extent of his capabilities remaining a mystery, Amado's methodical and well-versed nature is indisputable. He exhibits adeptness in handling technology to gain an upper hand and presents himself as a skilled tactician and manipulator.

His ability to plan several steps ahead was demonstrated through his implementation of a fake explosive collar device on Shikadai Nara to deceive Shikamaru Nara and Konoha. Furthermore, Amado's successful strategy to force Isshiki Ōtsutsuki to reincarnate in Jigen's body while simultaneously removing Kawaki's Kāma earned him high praise from the Ōtsutsuki member himself.

Amado's technological expertise is second to none, as he single-handedly enhanced the abilities of the Inners of Kara and produced cyborgs whose strength surpassed even Jigen's, resulting in his order to dispose of them immediately. He achieved the remarkable feat of grafting Shibai Ōtsutsuki's DNA to transfer his shinjutsu to others. Additionally, he provided Jigen with the tools to increase the chances of candidates being compatible with the Kāma. Amado's knowledge of the Kāma even enabled him to recreate Isshiki's Kāma and implant it on Kawaki after Isshiki's demise.

Cloning humans was also a skill he possessed; using Jiraiya's DNA, he created a perfect replica of the legendary Sannin named Koji Kashin in his prime. He developed a drug that weakens the Byakugan, which he hoped would be effective in defeating Isshiki and was successful in preventing Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki from reincarnating in Boruto Uzumaki's body. In the anime, he even had the ability to bring the recently deceased back to life using his technological prowess.

Scientific Ninja Tools

Amado's exceptional talent in science and technology has been instrumental in the development of Kara's weaponry and cyborgs. He served as the head of the organization's research and development division, and his contributions have been crucial to the development of Kara's fearsome Shinobi-ware. His technological advancements in the field of scientific ninja tools have surpassed even the combined capabilities of Konoha's Scientific Ninja Weapons Team.

He has created a number of powerful devices unique to Kara and has also improved upon existing ones. Amado's expertise extends to the creation of autonomous puppets, which are used for various tasks, including combat. Amado's technological advancements have granted each member of Kara monstrous capabilities, particularly in the form of cyborgs that possess unique abilities.

His modifications to Ada have endowed her with the power to infatuate those around her, which allows her to protect herself from harm and coerce others into fulfilling her demands. Amado's innovative designs for the organization's cyborgs include healing devices that can cure virtually any injury, weapons that can counter an individual's regenerative abilities and tools that can absorb, store, and release ninjutsu. He has even developed a powerful virus capable of incapacitating anyone who is exposed to it.

Amado's prowess in genetic engineering is apparent through his extensive augmentation of Kawaki, Delta, and Code down to the circulatory and nervous systems. He has implanted microscopic scientific ninja tools throughout their entire bodies, essentially turning them into living scientific ninja tools. Ao, who was previously disabled, was rehabilitated by Amado's extensive augmentation and was able to engage in intense combat.

Even genius engineer Katasuke Tōno expressed awe at the level of expertise with which Amado turned Kawaki into a living scientific ninja tool. Amado's modifications to his teammates also allow him to include power limiters and shutdown commands into their shinobi-ware.

He is even capable of restoring an individual's lost organ, as seen when he restored Kawaki's arm that he had lost to Delta's Destruction Beam. Amado is constantly utilizing computers and tablets to store the organization's vital information, monitor his teammates during operations, and check the status of his scientific ninja tools.

Amado possesses a vast array of tools that he can summon at will, even when immobilized. He has an uncanny ability to program them to activate with the slightest gestures, making him a formidable opponent. Among his arsenal are explosive collars and a powerful drug that can instantly render people unconscious, which he administers through needles in his gloves.

During his battle with Shikadai Nara, Amado utilized a specially designed tuning fork-shaped tool to counter and negate techniques that require concentration, such as the Shadow Imitation Technique. For gathering intelligence, he has created various tools that can detect and track chakra signatures, such as Delta's Spy Drone, which is capable of remaining hidden from sensors while storing vital information.

Furthermore, Amado has the ability to modify and control animals to enhance his reconnaissance capabilities, using his glasses to share their vision and project what they see. Notably, he has even performed modifications on his own body, further augmenting his already formidable technological prowess.
