The Alpaca SMILE grants the user the physical characteristics of an alpaca. The SMILE Fruit was made to grant the user the power of animal transformation like the Zoan type Devil Fruit. Just like normal Devil Fruit users, the SMILE users cannot swim, and unlike other devil fruits, SMILE fruits are actually tasty.

Alpacaman has the same characteristics as that of an Alpaca. After he ate the fruit, he had his head replaced with an Alpaca’s.
He is seen spitting his spit in projectile motion and using them as bullets. He is also seen
fighting with two sabers. He spins these sabers around on either side while attacking. He also has a special technique where he stands on Madilloman, who spins him, and then Alpacaman starts using his spit as bullets and shoots at his enemies.
Alapcaman can imbue his attacks with Busoshoku Haki. He coats his face with Busoshoku Haki and starts spitting (spit imbued with Haki) at his enemies. SMILE users are given enhanced physical abilities and can hold down power opponents. They also gain the abilities of the animal of the SMILE Fruit that they have consumed. They possess abilities of high resilience.
This SMILE doesn't have its own weaknesses other than the standard SMILE weaknesses. Due to the illegal chemicals used for making them, only one out of every ten SMILE fruits will have all the abilities of a Zoan type devil fruit but will irrespective lose their ability to swim. They will be devoid of all negative emotions and will be forced to laugh and smile despite what they are truly feeling.
The SMILE fruits were invented by a mad scientist known as Caesar Clown who developed a way to create artificial Zoan-type Devil Fruits with the help of a new chemical known as SAD. He made SAD in his abandoned lab in Punk Hazard which he then shipped to Donquixote Doflamingo in Dressrosa.
After the SMILES were created at a factory in Dressrosa, they were given money to multiply by Kaido so that he could achieve command of the strongest pirate crew in the entire world consisting only of Devil Fruit users. He fed the SMILE users Gifters which made them strong and powerful.
The Smile fruits appear to be in the shape of an apple with yellow and medium yellow dots on them.
