Conomi Islands in One Piece

Conomi Island has over twenty communities inside it. They're largely agricultural and have several kinds of rice and oranges. The 16th Branch of the Marine Headquarters is stationed in this region. The 77th Branch also acts over this region but only when it's necessary. This island was very peaceful and simple until the Arlong Pirates came to Cocoyashi Village.

After the Arlong Pirates arrived, they terrorized the entire region and extorted survival tax from the people of 100,000 berries for every adult and 50,000 berries for every child. If the citizens fail to pay the tax, the result is violent retaliation. With all the money they extorted from people, the Arlong Pirates used it to make Arlong Park and planned to conquer the entire East Blue. They also bribed some Marine officials to not get shut down by the Marines.

The known places in Conomi Island are Arlong Park, Cocoyashi Village and Gosa Village. The Straw Hats Pirates were the ones who finally freed the people of Conomi Island from the rule of the Arlong Pirates.

Nami

She is the navigator for the Straw Hat Pirates. She is the adoptive sister of Nojiko.

Arlong

He is the sawshark fishman and the captain of the Arlong Pirates.

Genzo

He is the sheriff of Cocoyashi Village.

Nojiko

She is Nami’s older adoptive sister.

Bell-mere

She was a former marine and also the adoptive mother of Nami and Nojiko.

The other people who live on Conomi Island are Nako, Mummy Mee, Daddy Dee, Johnny, Yoakum, Sam, Chew, Kuroobi, Hatching, Pesaro, Kaneshiro, Take, Shioyaki, Momoo etc.
