G-2 was the place where Borsalino had brought Arlong for interrogation. Later on when the base had problems with their milk supplies, Ace helped them have a steady stream of milk. This base was also the origin for a scout ship that had top secret information that was thought to be destroyed when it was set on fire by unknown means.
Ace took this opportunity to steal this confidential information as he thought that he might get a lead on Blackbeard and even saved a Marine in the process.
Later on Vice Admiral Comil who was stationed at G-2, he was called to fight in the Marineford War. During the Levely, all of the G-2 base staff was busy escorting all the higher-ups to Mary Geoise, thus the Island wasn't well guarded.
Even though there was high security at the Levely, the party was attacked by Pirates and the kingdom's princess was kidnapped by a pirate.

Vice Admiral Comil is the Commander of Marine Base G-2. He was seen taking part in the Marineford War.
Rear Admiral Kadar is a Marine rear Admiral at the G-2 Marine Headquarters. His current location and rank is unknown.
Kyuji and Koda are both husband and wife who work as cooks together at G-2. They have a daughter named Moda.
G-2 base is known to have three ships. One ship is a Top Secret Marine Intelligence Ship, the second one is used for Base Supply and the last one is a regular ship that is used by Rear Admiral Kadar.
G-2 base is located in the Grand Line.
