Two to three weeks before Roronoa Zoro, Johnny, and Usopp’s arrival, Momoo, a gigantic sea cow controlled by the Arlong Pirates, physically flipped over the entire village since it was unable to fully pay the monthly tribute to Arlong. The sole known citizen to live here is Chabo.
The 77th Branch of the Marines, under the command of Commodore Pudding Pudding, was asked to help some Gosa Village survivors, but the branch’s rescue effort was unsuccessful. Following the Straw Hat Pirates’ victory over the Arlong Pirates, Nami requested that Nezumi’s 16th Branch rebuild the Gosa Village.
Most of the citizens of Gosa Village were either displaced or dead after Momoo’s attack on the village. The only known person to live in the village was Chabo, who now works for Nojiko on her tangerine farms.
