Ido Island in One Piece

Ido is a desert town mainly surrounded by sand. Even though they have a lot of sand, they still have very vibrant vegetation. Their architectural style is very similar to all other towns and cities in Alabasta.

When Camus and his three companions came to Ido in order to find food, they posed as the Rebel Army soldiers and made a fake promise to protect the village from the bandits. When the Straw Hats, Ace, and Vivi arrive at Ido, they find that the phony Rebel Army soldiers plan, and they decide to turn the four liars into real heroes.

When Luffy and his crew were fighting Camus and his gang, Camus remembered the town children that wanted to be like him when they grew up, just like when he tried to be like Chaka and Pell when he was a kid.

Then Camus and his friends were ready to fight the pirates, to which Luffy and his crew ran away pretending that they were cowards so the villagers think that Camus and his gang are heroes. The villagers then cheered Camus and his gang and thanked them for saving the town.
