History of East Blue

When Shimotsuki Kozaburo left Wano fifty five years ago he landed up in East Blue. He came upon this village and saw that they were attacked by bandits so he saved them from the bandits. He eventually settled down in that village that was named after him and started his own family. He even started training the villagers in swordsmanship.

Location

One of the famous locations of the village is the Isshin Dojo and it is a kenjutsu school which is a school of Japanese Swordsmanship. Koushiro was the owner of this dojo and he is also the father of Zoro’s dead childhood friend Kuina. Zoro trained in this dojo as a child and this is the place where he developed his Three Sword Style.

It was also said that 12 years ago, Monkey D. Dragon had also visited this town with his revolutionaries and the people at the Dojo helped him take care of the injured people from Gray Terminal.

Inhabitants of the Island

The people who lived on the island were The Isshin Dojo owner Koushiro and his daughter Kuina, Roronoa Zoro, Saga, Shimotsuki Kozaburo and the students of the Isshin Dojo. A lot of people living in this village are Buddhists.

Wildlife on the Island

The village looks like your typical local village. It is surrounded by luscious green grass and mountains all around. It has a lot of rice fields too.
