Kinoko Island in One Piece

Not much is known about the history of Kinoko Island as it isn’t a part of the main story. The Straw Hat Pirates were lured here by the Foxy Pirates when the latter disguised themselves as women and pretended to be shipwrecked.

Foxy issued a fresh Davy Back Battle challenge to the Straw Hats when they arrived on the island. The first round started when the teams had to consume mysterious mushrooms, after Luffy agreed. The Drowsy Mushrooms, on the other hand, made those who ate them lose motivation. It was, in fact, nothing more than a trap set by Komei, who pretended to be a Foxy Pirate while really working as a Vice Admiral. Zoro, Sanji, Porche, and Hamburg were all captured by Komei before she boarded the Sexy Foxy to leave the island.

After they departed the island to locate their captive crewmates, the Straw Hats allied with Foxy and his crewmate Kansho. They found a creature's skin, and despite being besieged by the Marines, they were victorious. After that, the pirates rode Kinoconda towards Nebulandia. They returned to Kinoko Island after winning on Nebulandia, where they parted ways.

The island is lush and rich, supporting various plant life. Its name comes from the numerous varieties of mushrooms that grow on its mushroom-shaped mountains, which are its most significant feature. Even its wildlife has a mushroom-like appearance.

Kinoko Shima (キノコ島) means "Mushroom Island".
