Pokke's father was taken prisoner by Wilder, who offered to free him in exchange for assistance in capturing the Straw Hat Pirates. Pokke made copies of their former enemies to assault the crew when they got to the island. When Admiral Fujitora arrived on the island to help in the capture effort, they were successful thanks to Wilder's heatwaves, Pokke's clones, and Fujitora's gravity sword.

Still, Wilder would not release his father and failed to keep his word to Pokke. By following Sanji, a team of Okama managed to free the Straw Hat Pirates from Fujitora. The crew engaged in battle with their old foes, but Luffy became weak after facing off Magellan and Donquixote Doflamingo clones.

While Luffy awaited the necessary time to restore his skills, Law and the Straw Hat Grand Fleet arrived to assist him. After defeating Pokke's clones, Wilder was surrounded and released his Ikazuchi Neppa, causing the island to crumble. To save the Straw Hat Pirates, Pokke built a replica of the Going Merry. It burned up from Wilder's heatwave, but Luffy recovered enough to defeat Wilder.
