Hoe’s History

Hoe carried Neptune to Pappag's shop to extend an invitation to the Straw Hat Pirates for a visit to Ryugu Palace. During this time, Hoe transported Neptune while Megalo aided the Straw Hats in their journey.

In a later crisis, when the New Fish-Man Pirates and Flying Pirates launched a coup d'etat, and the palace was flooded due to Hody Jones's actions, Neptune's mobility was hindered by a strained back. Hoe swiftly arrived, rescuing Neptune and the Straw Hat members - Roronoa Zoro, Usopp, and Brook.

Unfortunately, their escape was impeded when Hody grabbed Neptune by the tail, preventing their flight. Hoe and the guards were forced to depart without the King, seeking Prince Fukaboshi's aid.

Hoe later reappeared at Gyoncorde Plaza, arriving with Franky and the Thousand Sunny. When the Sunny unleashed its Gaon Cannon against the New Fish-Man Pirates, Hoe expedited Neptune and the Princes away from the plaza.

Following this, Hoe found a safe haven on the island with Neptune and the Princes while the King delivered a brief speech about Noah's significance. After the battle on Fish-Man Island concluded and the New Fish-Man Pirates were defeated, Hoe returned to the plaza with Neptune.

In the Levely Arc, Hoe accompanied the Neptune Family as they prepared to depart Fish-Man Island for the Levely.

Hoe’s Personality

Not much is known about Hoe’s personality due to his sparse appearance. However, he does display unwavering loyalty to the royal family, particularly to Neptune.

Hoe, as seen in the digitally colorized One Piece manga.

Hoe is a sizable whale with a dark, contrasting underbelly. His features include a set of rounded teeth and gentle, round eyes.

Adding to his unique appearance, he dons an ornate crown atop his head. When he's not submerged in water, Hoe uses a bubble ring that allows him to gracefully "swim" through the air.

Hoe’s Abilities

As a whale, Hoe boasts an impressive size, with the ability to comfortably transport even someone as substantial as Neptune. He's well-equipped to endure the immense pressure found in waters as deep as 10,000 feet.

Whether by breathing underwater or holding his breath for extended periods, Hoe can navigate the ocean depths without any risk of suffocation.
