Who has the Dragon Fruit in One Piece?

Kaido was born on the Grand Line and lived in the Vodka Kingdom. His hometown used to invade and loot other towns in order to get membership from the World Government. As he grew up, Kaido started questioning the system and his king.

Once his king heard about this, he sold Kaido off to the Marines, but Kaido escaped. From then on, he used to sneak onto battleships and steal their food and be on the run.

When Kaido was 15, he was invited by Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard to join the Rock Pirates and was going to be put under Rocks D. Xebec’s charge. When he was his apprentice he met up with Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom and they developed a sibling bond. When the Rock Pirates fought with Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp was defeated, this resulted in the crew being disbanded.

When the crew got disbanded Big Mom gave Kaido the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu Devil fruit which placed him in her debt for the rest of his life. From that time, he began his pirate journey during which Kaido was only defeated seven times and captured eighteen times by the marines.

Kaido wasn't recognized as a top pirate until Roger was executed and then he alongside Big Mom, Whitebeard and Shanks were named the Four Emperors of the Sea. Kaido also managed to get a Road Poneglyph too.

When Kaido worked as Orochi's protector, he confronted Kozuki Oden at the Shogun's castle after Oden tried to kill Orochi. Kaido and Orochi then made a deal with Oden that if Oden danced naked in front of the Flower Capital once a week, the citizens would be spared and they both would leave Wano for five years.

Years later, when Oden and his retainers were on their way to Onigashima, Kaido and his crew confronted them. Kaido and Oden battled and Oden landed a hit on Kaido with the help of Enma which was the first wound Kaido had ever received. Kaido managed to knock Oden unconscious when he was distracted by Kurozomi Higurashi who had tricked him to believe that he had kidnapped Momonosuke. After the battle, Oden killed Higurashi.

When Oden was going to be executed, Kaido joined Orochi to witness it. Oden made a deal with Kaido to let the people who survived go free and Kaido gave him an hour. Oden successfully survived one hour in the boiling pot and after that Kaido shot Oden in the head. After Oden's death, Kaido set his castle ablaze and soon chained up his son, Yamato (actually his daughter) as he was rebelling and for using the Haoshoku Haki on their subordinates.

Later on, Kaido started collaborating with Donquixote Doflamingo and helped him in the manufacturing of SMILE fruit.

Kaido is known for his extremely strong physical power and is known as the strongest creature on Earth. With just a single Kanab swing he can send a lot of people flying away and even was able to defend against Luffy's Gear 4. He also has sunk several ships. Kaido is also known for his indestructible body as he used his Busoshoku Haki which ensures that his skin isn’t damaged.

He could endure multiple hits from Luffy's Gear 3 and Gear 4 and it didn't leave a single scratch on his body. He has even fought with Big Mom for three days straight and did not get tired at all.

Due to Kaido's durability, he is known to be unable to die. Kozuki Oden, with his sword Enma, was the first person who could land a hit on Kaido which caused him to have a serious injury to his chest. Furthermore, despite being huge, Kaido is quite fast and agile and can move from one place to another very quickly.

Devil Fruit

Kaido ate the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, a mythical Zoan type Devil fruit which allows him to transform into an Azure Dragon and a human-Dragon hybrid. In his Dragon form, he is almost the size of a whole town and his blue scales are extremely durable which act as an extra shield for his body. When he is in his hybrid form, he can increase his speed, agility, and mobility by a lot and can boost his strength even more.

In his Dragon form, he can use something called Flame Clouds which are used to lift other objects. He can also release blasts of fire which are capable of obliterating anything that comes in its part. He can even coat himself with a layer of heat and thus if anyone tries to come in contact with him, they'll melt instantly. He has mastered his devil fruit so well that sometimes he doesn't even need to transform to use his Flame Clouds.

Haki

Kaido was one of the few who could use all three types of haki. He knew how to use the Hoashoku Haki, which allows the users to exert their willpower over others. He can release extreme levels of this haki and damage his surroundings and blow his opponents away. He is also capable of infusing this haki with his Hassaikai too.

He can also use the Busoshoku Haki, which allows users to use their spiritual energy to create invisible armor around themselves, giving them offensive and defensive capabilities. He can use it at an advanced version of this haki by imbibing it in his Kanab and striking his opponents and injuring them seriously if they make direct contact with him.

Lastly, Kaido even possessed the Kenbunshoku Haki, which allows the users to use the sixth sense to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others. It even gave the user prerogative abilities. He has refined this haki so well that he can even briefly see into the future which helps him dodge attacks.

Weapon

Kaido had a huge black Spiked Kanab named Hassaikai. He imbued his Haoshoku and Busoshoku Haki into his weapon and can strike people with powerful blows and also produce large shock waves with just a single hit.

Shuron Hakke

When Kaido drinks alcohol, he enters into a state known as Shuron Hakke which allows his movements to become unpredictable, switch between his devil fruit and even makes his haki stronger. This state has various modes depending on his drunken mood swings like Warai Jogo, Ochikomi Jogo, Nami Jogo, Osorio Jogo, Amazon Jogo, Nusubito Jogo and Satsuriku Jogo.

Kaido vs Big Mom

The timeline of this fight is unknown but it lasted for three days.

This was the legendary fight that took place when Oden came to Onigashima. The conclusion of this fight was Oden’s execution.

Kaido vs Luffy

This was the most hyped and awaited fight in the whole series between Kaido and Luffy. It took place during the Wano City Arc.
