Bellamy’s History

Bellamy and his crew hail from North Blue, born in the serene town of Notice. In their childhood, they were captivated by the fairy tale of Liar Noland and constantly warned by adults about the consequences of lying, citing Noland's execution as a cautionary tale.

In his youth, Bellamy grew tired of the tranquility of his hometown and decided to form the Bellamy Pirates. Eager for adventure, they ventured out to sea. Their path led them to Donquixote Doflamingo, the future Warlord of the Sea.

Impressed by Doflamingo, Bellamy and his crew expressed their admiration, leading to them being granted the privilege of using the Donquixote Family's symbol. However, Doflamingo made it clear that defeat was not an option, and Bellamy vowed never to lose to anyone.

Bellamy's skills and audacity earned him a bounty of Beli 55,000,000, earning him the moniker "The Big-Time Rookie."

Their journey eventually brought them to the island of Jaya, where they sought to recruit formidable pirates for a "New Age." Their ambitions were evident as they secured an entire tropical hotel exclusively for their crew's use.

Jaya Arc

On the island, a pirate named "Roshio the Executioner" had a heated dispute with Bellamy in a bar. Roshio won a game of poker fairly, but Bellamy falsely accused him of cheating and attacked him. Sarquiss, at Bellamy's request, claimed to have witnessed the cheating.

Bellamy then shot Roshio in the leg and struck him with a bottle of alcohol. With Roshio drenched in alcohol, Sarquiss lit a match and set him on fire. Roshio was propelled out of a window by the explosion, and Bellamy finished him off with his Spring Hopper technique.

Later that day, Sarquiss told Bellamy about the presence of Straw Hat Luffy, a pirate with a bounty of Beli 30,000,000, on the island. Bellamy went to the tavern where Monkey D. Luffy, Zoro, and Nami were sitting. He asked Luffy if he was the famous man he had heard about.

Luffy mentioned meeting many noteworthy individuals that day, while Bellamy ordered an expensive drink for himself and something Luffy would enjoy.

Shortly after, Sarquiss and the other Bellamy Pirates barged in, causing a commotion. Bellamy encouraged Luffy to drink, and when Luffy downed it in one gulp, Bellamy slammed his head against the bar counter. This act shocked onlookers, and Zoro reacted angrily, putting a sword to Bellamy's throat.

Nami intervened, urging Zoro to hold back, as they hadn't gathered information about the town yet. Luffy stood up and challenged Bellamy to prepare for a fight, and the onlookers eagerly anticipated the showdown. Bellamy dismissed it as a test rather than a fight, laughing it off.

Nami intervened, urging Luffy to hold back while she questioned the storekeeper about the Sky Island. This surprised everyone and left the Straw Hat crew confused. Mentioning the island led to mockery from the others, especially Bellamy.

He belittled the notion of legends and dreams like the sky island, suggesting that pirates should focus on more practical matters. Luffy was angered by Bellamy's comment, but he chose not to fight over dreams, and both Luffy and Zoro opted out of a brawl, despite the provocation from Bellamy and his crew.

However, Bellamy and his crew still proceeded to beat up Luffy and Zoro. Despite taking a beating, the Straw Hats stuck to their pacifist stance until Nami had to pull them out of the bar.

Later, the crew encountered Mont Blanc Cricket, who shared Luffy's strong belief in the sky island legend. During their search for a bird that could aid them in reaching the island, Bellamy and his crew attacked Cricket's group, leaving them wounded.

Bellamy admired a golden statue of the South Bird, and Cricket, though injured, insisted they had no right to take the gold. Sarquiss attempted to attack him, but Masira protected Cricket from the blow. Sarquiss claimed their strength gave them the right to take the gold from the Saruyama Alliance.

Shoujou unleashed an attack hurting Bellamy's crew. Sarquiss prepared to attack again, but Bellamy took charge and used his Spring Sniper move, hitting Shoujou and sending him crashing through the house into the water.

As Cricket reminisced about his fond memories with Shoujou and Masira, Bellamy boarded his ship and condescendingly urged Cricket to grow up, insisting that the legendary golden city was merely a product of Mont Blanc Noland's imagination. His crew joined in laughter, and Bellamy declared that dreams never materialize.

However, Cricket paused, lit a cigarette, and rebuked Bellamy, remarking that pirates who couldn't grasp the essence of dreams had no right to lecture others. Bellamy turned around, demanding to know what Cricket had said.

Meanwhile, back at the bar, Bellamy and his crew were reveling in their assault on Mont Blanc Cricket and his friends. Suddenly, a town drunk burst in with wanted posters and news that Bellamy was in serious trouble.

The two men they had attacked in the bar were none other than Roronoa Zoro and Monkey D. Luffy, pirates with bounties of Beli 60,000,000 and Beli 100,000,000, respectively. Shock rippled through the bar, except for Bellamy, who arrogantly dismissed the posters as forgeries, claiming that Zoro and Luffy had concocted them to intimidate him. The bar fell into a momentary calm until Luffy's furious shout sent everyone reeling.

Bellamy stepped outside to investigate the source of the shout and spotted Luffy on a nearby building. Luffy demanded the return of the stolen gold, but Bellamy used his Bane Bane powers to join him on the rooftop. He argued that since he had taken the gold, it now rightfully belonged to him, but Luffy countered that he intended to steal it back.

Bellamy continued to taunt Luffy while the drunkard grew increasingly distressed. However, Sarquiss urged Bellamy to stop, starting to doubt whether even Luffy's Beli 30,000,000 bounty was genuine.

Bellamy openly questioned whether Luffy would fight or merely stand there as they had in their previous encounter. Luffy, however, asserted that this time was different. Bellamy initiated the fight by using his powers to leap off the building and fracture a nearby tower.

Bellamy showcased his abilities by repeatedly employing his Spring Snipe technique, firing bouncing shots at Luffy. Despite the intimidating display, Luffy didn't make a move or sustain any damage.

After a series of attacks, Bellamy geared up for a potent shot using his Spring Hopper technique. He began bouncing around the town, rapidly increasing his speed and generating a deafening chorus of boi-oi-oings that echoed throughout the area.

As he powered up, Bellamy insulted Luffy and Cricket for their persistent dreams and belief in the sky island, visibly infuriating Luffy. For his final move, Bellamy zoomed toward Luffy, but Luffy effortlessly knocked him to the ground with a single punch.

Bellamy was left unconscious with an imprint of Luffy's knuckles on the right side of his face. His crew realized that Luffy's wanted posters were genuine and fled.

A day later, Bellamy had recovered and witnessed the ringing of the Shandorian Golden Belfry Bell after Luffy defeated Enel. He saw the colossal shadow Luffy cast from high above in the clouds as he celebrated his victory.

Bellamy had an epiphany, realizing that Sky Islands truly existed, and Luffy had successfully reached Skypiea when others had failed. Overwhelmed by this revelation, he acknowledged his previous wrongdoings, regretting his mockery and attacks on Luffy. From that point on, Bellamy began to admire and respect Luffy.

Long Ring Long Land Arc

Bellamy and his crew remained on Jaya after Luffy defeated him. Donquixote Doflamingo, a Warlord of the Sea to whom Bellamy had pledged allegiance, returned to Jaya.

He compelled Bellamy and his first mate, Sarquiss, to fight each other as a "lesson" for dishonoring his flag due to Bellamy's earlier defeat by Monkey D. Luffy. Bellamy pleaded for forgiveness, hoping for another chance, but Doflamingo showed no mercy and declared Bellamy expendable.

Doflamingo then manipulated Sarquiss into attacking Bellamy one last time, and both of them begged for mercy in their final moments. Doflamingo departed, leaving the remnants of the crew in terror. Despite the ordeal, Bellamy survived.

During The Timeskip

Bellamy and his crew journeyed to Skypiea, but only he survived. He brought back a gold pillar, earning redemption and another chance with the Donquixote Pirates. He also attacked nations that opposed Dressrosa.

Dressrosa Arc

Bellamy entered the Corrida Colosseum aiming for a leadership position in the Donquixote Family and was placed in B Block. His debut involved a brutal encounter, crushing an opponent's skull.

In the lead-up to B Block's matches, Bellamy recognized Luffy despite his disguise. They exchanged words, with Luffy recalling Bellamy as the one who attacked Mont Blanc Cricket, eventually correcting his name.

Luffy questioned his motives for being there. Bellamy explained his admiration for Doflamingo since childhood and his disregard for the Mera Mera no Mi fruit. Winning was his sole focus. Bellamy also recounted a life-changing experience on a sky island. He left on a reconciliatory note, no longer holding a grudge against Luffy, aspiring instead to join Doflamingo's crew.

Subsequently, Bellamy entered the arena, pondering his approach. Amidst the chaos, he engaged with fighters like Tank Lepanto, a commander from Dressrosa's Self-Defense force. Bellamy questioned his allegiance, to which Lepanto replied he was fighting for money. Bellamy skillfully evaded Lepanto's attack and retaliated.

Bellamy's prowess came into view as he dispatched opponents Abdullah and Jeet. The crowd reacted strongly to his ruthless style.

After defeating Abdullah and Jeet, Bellamy tried to attack Bartolomeo, but an unknown ability caused him to take damage instead. Despite this, he managed to grab Bartolomeo and hang on, emphasizing the strength of a spring. Just then, Elizabello II unleashed his powerful "King Punch," taking out Bellamy and all remaining gladiators except Bartolomeo.

Later, an injured Bellamy had a friendly chat with Luffy, noticing how Luffy had changed. Bartolomeo overheard Bellamy calling him "Straw Hat."

While recovering in the Donquixote staff room, Bellamy received a letter from Doflamingo, ordering him to assassinate Luffy during the tournament for a permanent family leader position. Bellamy seemed conflicted, remembering Luffy's support. He also overheard Cavendish threatening Bartolomeo regarding Luffy.

Shortly after, as Luffy followed Bartolomeo's instructions outside the Colosseum, Bellamy approached with a menacing grin, intending to carry out the assassination for the officer position. He clarified it was nothing personal.

Before he could reach Luffy, Dellinger appeared and revealed Doflamingo's order to kill Bellamy, citing Doflamingo's lack of confidence in him. Bellamy angrily questioned this.

Dellinger gravely wounded Bellamy, but Bartolomeo intervened, shielding Bellamy with his barrier. Dellinger left to guard the SMILE factory, vowing to ensure their demise. Bartolomeo offered to help Bellamy to the medical room, but Bellamy, feeling purposeless, declined.

Tearfully, he questioned Bartolomeo's intentions for aiding him. Bartolomeo emphasized their camaraderie as friends, refusing to let Bellamy die without aid. Carrying Bellamy, they encountered Luffy, seeking an exit. Bellamy led them, expressing his continued respect for Doflamingo but also acknowledging the need to escape. They were soon joined by a stranger.

During Doflamingo's "Birdcage" survival game, Bellamy confronted Doflamingo at the relocated royal palace. He queried Doflamingo about the betrayal and suffered severe injuries in response. With Luffy and Law's arrival, Doflamingo derided Bellamy as weak and battered. Doflamingo revealed Bellamy's brutalized face as he wept, pleading for death.

Luffy attacked in anger, but Doflamingo used Bellamy as a shield. Bellamy, manipulated by Doflamingo's power, attacked Luffy and pleaded for restraint.

Bound and weakened, Luffy endured a Haki-infused kick and strings ensnaring his arms. Doflamingo compelled Bellamy to strike him, despite Bellamy's pleas. As Luffy was hit, Bellamy's tears flowed again. With Luffy and Law incapacitated, Bellamy listened in disbelief as Doflamingo unveiled his past as a World Noble.

Exploiting Luffy's vulnerability, Doflamingo's Black Knight and controlled Bellamy attacked but were repelled by Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Tako Stamp. However, the clone swiftly maneuvered behind Luffy, sending him crashing through the floor into the palace. Bellamy dropped down alongside Doflamingo's clone, listening in silence as it condemned all humans as savage creatures.

Later, Luffy destroyed Doflamingo's Black Knight with a Jet Gatling, creating an opening in the palace's roof. Doflamingo noticed Bellamy below and, on a whim, released his control over him. Bellamy, despite being barely able to stand, adhered to his principles and attacked Luffy with his improved Spring Hopper. Luffy, urging him to stop, was ignored, and Bellamy struck with Haki-imbued punches.

Despite Luffy's pleas, Bellamy persisted in his assault. Realizing he couldn't sway Bellamy, Luffy decided to end the battle, rendering Bellamy unconscious with a Busoshoku Haki-infused punch, reminiscent of their clash at Jaya. In his final thoughts, Bellamy thanked Luffy for considering him a friend.

Following Doflamingo's defeat, Bellamy found refuge at Kyros' house, where he recovered from his injuries by resting and sleeping.

Three days after Doflamingo's downfall, as the Marines pursued those associated with Luffy, Bellamy, having regained his strength, expressed his readiness to flee. He asked Law why he was spared, and Law explained it was because Luffy considered him a friend. They escaped just as the Marines closed in on Kyros' house.

After the escape from Dressrosa and the formation of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, Bellamy declined becoming Luffy's subordinate. Instead, he chose to take a piece of Luffy's Vivre Card as a token of their connection, should he ever need it.

Bellamy opted to retire from piracy and began a new life as an apprentice dyer in Dyed Good Town. Eventually, he designed his own jolly roger.

Bellamy’s Personality

Bellamy's personality undergoes a remarkable transformation over the course of his journey in the series. Initially, he is introduced as a brash and violent individual, characterized by an overwhelming sense of arrogance and self-assuredness.

His unwavering confidence in his own powers leads him to engage only in battles that he deems easily winnable, giving him a rather narrow perspective on strength.

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

This arrogance extends to his interactions with others. Bellamy displays a cruel streak, often deriving pleasure from the misfortunes of those around him. He is ruthless in his actions, not hesitating to attack others over trivial matters.

His approach to piracy revolves around scavenging riches from weaker pirates, akin to a hyena scavenging for food. He thrives on the thrill of having an audience witness his exploits, further reinforcing his ego.

Bellamy's beliefs are anchored in his fervent faith in the "New Age," a concept he passionately advocates for. He dismisses the dreams of those aspiring to become the Pirate King, labeling it as part of the current "Age of Dreams."

His loyalty is unwavering, directed towards Donquixote Doflamingo, whom he idolizes deeply, even in the face of mistreatment.

However, a significant transformation occurs during the two-year timeskip. Bellamy sheds much of his arrogance and adopts a calmer, more composed demeanor. He ceases to mock and belittle others and develops a heightened sense of observation, allowing him to recognize Luffy through disguises and refrain from mocking him.

This newfound introspection extends to his code of honor, as he becomes disgusted by acts of bribery and hesitates to follow dishonorable orders.

Bellamy's loyalty, while initially strong, begins to waver as he recognizes the flaws in his devotion to Doflamingo. He forges an unlikely friendship with Luffy, a testament to his capacity for change and personal growth. Ultimately, he decides to break away from his life of piracy, seeking redemption and a fresh start as an apprentice dyer.

Bellamy’s Appearance

Bellamy is a tall individual with tan skin and untamed blond hair. Before the timeskip. during the Jaya Arc, he frequently wears a pink sleeveless shirt beneath a navy blue pirate captain's coat, which tends to slip off when he employs his spring-based jumping ability.

He distinguishes himself with a scar above his right eye and eye-like tattoos on his arms. His signature grin and occasional taunting tongue gestures are characteristic of his demeanor.

After the timeskip, Bellamy's physicality undergoes significant alteration. He experiences a notable increase in size, giving him a more imposing presence. He adds black sunglasses to his appearance, contributing to his mature look. The timeskip leaves him with two new scars, each marking his face on either side. These scars may be reminders of his defeat by Luffy and Doflamingo's retribution, or a combination of both.

Bellamy's attire changes as well. He discards his captain's coat in favor of a short-sleeved shirt, revealing his altered Jolly Roger design on the back, now overlaid with a cross motif. Notably, he leaves his shirt unbuttoned, exposing a tattoo on his chest that showcases his loyalty to Doflamingo.

Bellamy’s Abilities

Bellamy, prior to the timeskip, was initially seen as an average fighter who heavily relied on his Devil Fruit power, the Bane Bane no Mi. His victories against opponents like Shoujou and Roshio were mainly attributed to this power.

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Despite his bounty being at Beli 55,000,000, he primarily targeted opponents with lower bounties and lesser strength to appear intimidating. His reputation was that of "The Big-Time Rookie," even though his bounty was technically below the Grand Line standards.

After the timeskip, Bellamy's abilities underwent significant growth. He survived Sky Island and returned with a large golden pillar, which he presented to Doflamingo. He also engaged in attacks on countries that crossed Dressrosa's path.

His bounty increased substantially to Beli 195,000,000, demonstrating his growing threat in the eyes of the World Government. In the Corrida Colosseum tournament, he was considered one of the favorites in the B block, signifying his improved combat skills.

Intellectually, Bellamy became more perceptive. He recognized Luffy in disguise, a feat that eluded many others in the tournament. Additionally, he deduced the weakness of Bartolomeo's Devil Fruit power, indicating enhanced strategic thinking.

Additionally, Bellamy displayed ruthlessness when he attacked Roshio, resorting to a knife and pistol to inflict severe harm. In another encounter, he used a set of knives to immobilize Abdullah and Jeet by pinning their feet to the ground, setting them up for further attacks.

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Under the control of Doflamingo, Bellamy showcased his skill with a pair of rapier-like swords, exhibiting his adaptability in combat.

Despite these advancements, Bellamy's strength still fell short of the top officers of the Donquixote Pirates, as Doflamingo dispatched Dellinger to eliminate him once he changed his mind.

Physical Abilities

While he favored his spring-based strength, he possessed enough raw power to demolish a bar and effortlessly hurl a grown man out of a window. Yet, his stamina fell short, getting knocked out by a single punch from Luffy.

When faced with Doflamingo, Bellamy couldn't resist as Doflamingo manipulated Sarquiss to attack him using puppeteer abilities.

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

In the years following the Summit War of Marineford, Bellamy's strength soared. He crushed a fellow contender's face with his hands and took down the formidable duo Abdullah and Jeet.

His toughness also grew, enduring hits from Bartolomeo, Elizabello II's King Punch, and even Doflamingo and Dellinger – all in one day – before finally succumbing to a Haki-enhanced punch from Luffy.

One of the most notable enhancements in Bellamy's abilities was his mastery of Haki. He learned to use Busoshoku Haki, also known as Armament Haki, which allowed him to harden his fist. This made his attacks incredibly powerful, capable of breaking through Luffy's own Haki-hardened defenses and causing substantial damage.

Additionally, Bellamy possesses Kenbunshoku Haki, or Observation Haki, which enables him to sense the intentions and strength of others. He used this ability to anticipate attacks like Elizabello II's King Punch and to measure Luffy's strength and Haki during their encounters.

Devil Fruit

Bellamy's abilities stem from the Bane Bane no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit. This fruit grants him the power to transform his body and limbs into springs, bringing significant enhancements to both his offense and mobility. The elasticity of these springs produces a distinctive boinging sound that can be used to disorient his foes.

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

His leg springs enable him to execute lightning-fast, high-speed jumps with remarkable height, distance, and force. This agility allows him to navigate the battlefield with incredible swiftness, evading enemy attacks effortlessly and closing in for precise strikes. The momentum generated from his bouncing can be harnessed to intensify the impact of his punches.

When Bellamy transforms his arm into a spring, he can compress it and then release it upon contact, delivering a devastatingly powerful punch. This unique set of abilities makes Bellamy a formidable combatant, capable of surprising and overwhelming his opponents with his spring-loaded techniques.

Bellamy’s Relationships

Crew

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Bellamy was not just a captain to his crew; he was a charismatic leader who inspired his crew members with his vision of a "New Age" for pirates.

His crew members admired him greatly, seeing him as a big-time rookie, and they held him in high regard despite his relatively young age in the pirate world. Bellamy had a strong presence and influence over his crew.

Bellamy's crew shared his vision of a "New Age" for pirates, where they wouldn't have to pursue elusive treasures like the One Piece but could instead focus on seizing treasures readily available from weaker pirates. This shared ideology bound the crew together and gave them a common purpose.

Even after Bellamy's defeat at the hands of Monkey D. Luffy, his crew members remained loyal to him. They didn't abandon him out of anger or disappointment; instead, they were appalled by the turn of events. The crew had a deep sense of loyalty to their captain.

When Bellamy and Sarquiss were forced to fight each other by Doflamingo, the rest of the crew was overwhelmed by fear and confusion. The crew members were not prepared for such a situation and were not unaccustomed to conflict within their ranks.

Bellamy mentioned during his discussion with Luffy in Dressrosa that he lost his crew during his journey to Sky Island. This loss likely had a significant impact on him and further demonstrates the challenges and difficulties they faced together.

Donquixote Pirates

Donquixote Doflamingo

Bellamy in One Piece.

Bellamy initially greatly admired Doflamingo, looking up to him as a mentor and even adopting his ideals. He and his crew formed an alliance with the Donquixote Pirates, bearing both their own Jolly Roger and Doflamingo's. This alliance was a testament to Bellamy's deep admiration for the pirate captain.

However, this admiration was shattered when Bellamy was defeated, and Doflamingo himself came to Mock Town, ordering Sarquiss to attack Bellamy, claiming that he had dishonored his flag. This marked the beginning of a series of betrayals that Bellamy would face.

After the timeskip, Doflamingo offered Bellamy a second chance, promising him an executive position if he won the Corrida Colosseum tournament. Bellamy's loyalty and desire to prove himself led him to participate, but this opportunity turned out to be another ruse. Doflamingo ordered Dellinger to dispose of him.

Bellamy's disillusionment deepened when he confronted Doflamingo during the "Birdcage" game. He was horrified to learn of Doflamingo's desire to destroy the world and suffered physical and emotional abuse at his hands, including being forced to attack his new friend against his will.

Despite these betrayals and the realization that he had placed his faith in the wrong person, Bellamy initially clung to his loyalty to Doflamingo, unwilling to abandon it.

However, after Doflamingo and his crew's downfall, Bellamy seemed to let go of his loyalty towards him. This marked a turning point in his character arc, where he finally came to terms with the truth about Doflamingo's character and manipulation.

Dellinger

Bellamy's encounter with Dellinger during the Dressrosa Arc showed that his loyalty to Doflamingo was strained. Dellinger was ordered to kill Bellamy. However, Bartolomeo intervened to protect Bellamy. This event underscored Bellamy's precarious position within the crew and his struggle to maintain his loyalty amidst threats and betrayals.

Straw Hat Pirates

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Bellamy's interactions with Luffy, Zoro, and Nami showcased his arrogant and antagonistic nature. When they arrived in Mock Town seeking information about Sky Island, Bellamy initially taunted them and refused to help. This led to a confrontation that turned violent, but Luffy and Zoro chose not to fight back, displaying their restraint.

Later, Bellamy and his crew attacked Mont Blanc Cricket's Saruyama Alliance to steal some gold. This prompted Luffy to return and defeat Bellamy with a single punch. Witnessing Bellamy's defeat, the pirates who had joined the Bellamy Pirates out of fear quickly abandoned the ship.

Bellamy's defeat at Luffy's hands was significant because it made him appear weak in front of his crew and contributed to Doflamingo's decision to punish him personally.

Bellamy tried to justify his actions by claiming he harassed the Straw Hats out of fear that they might become a future threat, but this explanation did not save him from the consequences of his defeat and his perceived weakness in the eyes of his captain and crew.

Monkey D. Luffy

Bellamy in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Initially, Bellamy had little respect for Luffy and openly mocked his dreams and beliefs, particularly Luffy's quest for a legendary Sky Island. This contempt led to a physical confrontation in which Luffy retaliated with a punch.

However, after his humiliating defeat at Luffy's hands, Bellamy's perspective underwent a significant transformation. He began to reevaluate his own beliefs, particularly his cynicism towards dreams and aspirations.

At the Corrida Colosseum, Bellamy recognized Luffy, even though Luffy was in disguise. Having personally visited Sky Island by this point, Bellamy had gained a deeper understanding of Luffy's journey and showed a newfound respect for him. He vowed not to mock Luffy again.

The turning point in their relationship occurred when Doflamingo brutally assaulted Bellamy. During their forced battle, Luffy displayed compassion toward Bellamy, refusing to harm him despite the circumstances. In a poignant moment, Luffy referred to Bellamy as his friend, deeply touching Bellamy's heart and causing him to burst into tears. This emotional exchange revealed the genuine friendship that had developed between them.

Despite being released from Doflamingo's control, Bellamy chose to engage in a fight with Luffy to uphold his principles, demonstrating his deep admiration for both Luffy and Doflamingo.

After Doflamingo's ultimate defeat, Bellamy decided not to join Luffy's growing Straw Hat Grand Fleet. However, he accepted a piece of Luffy's Vivre Card, to call upon Luffy's assistance if the need arose.

Others

Saruyama Alliance

In Jaya, Bellamy's crew stole the gold artifacts that were the Saruyama Alliance's only proof of the golden city's existence. This act led to a confrontation in which Luffy defeated Bellamy and returned the stolen gold to Cricket. This interaction showcased Bellamy's initial ruthless and greedy nature but also his eventual defeat and transformation.

Bartolomeo

Bellamy in One Piece.

Bellamy initially fought against Bartolomeo in the Colosseum but was later saved by Bartolomeo from Dellinger's attack. Bellamy was deeply moved by this act of friendship and questioned why Bartolomeo would save him.

Bartolomeo explained that they had become friends through their shared experience in the tournament, demonstrating Bellamy's evolution from a loner to someone capable of forming bonds.

Trafalgar D. Water Law

Although Bellamy and Law had minimal interaction, they appeared to be civil with each other. Bellamy questioned why Law would save him, and Law's response indicated that it was because Luffy considered Bellamy a friend. This highlighted the influence of Luffy's values on those around him, including Bellamy.

Dressrosa Citizens

Bellamy's popularity in Dressrosa stemmed from being personally chosen by Doflamingo and his unwavering loyalty to the former king of Dressrosa. The people of Dressrosa admired Bellamy and saw him as a hero, referring to him as the "Bullet of Dressrosa."

His reputation was bolstered by his actions, including his supposed role in dealing with countries that threatened Dressrosa. This adoration was evident during the Colosseum tournament, where Bellamy was a crowd favorite, and his injuries from Bartolomeo's attack elicited concern from the spectators.
