Wapol’s History

After assuming the throne of Drum Island following his father's death, Wapol implemented a series of oppressive measures to maintain control over the kingdom. One of his most significant actions was the exile of all the country's doctors, except for his personal medical team, the Isshi-20.

These exiled doctors were subjected to servitude and forced to cater to Wapol's whims, with the citizens of Drum having to beg him personally for medical treatment and pay exorbitant fees. This cruel policy allowed Wapol to manipulate and control the populace while depriving them of essential healthcare. Only two doctors, Hiriluk and Kureha, managed to evade Wapol's clutches.

During his reign, Wapol attended the world meeting in Mary Geoise, where the looming threat of the revolutionary Dragon was discussed. However, Wapol exhibited complete indifference to this global concern, believing that his Drum Kingdom was impervious to such threats. His nonchalant reaction, which included picking his nose, angered other world leaders, notably Nefertari Cobra of Arabasta, who scolded Wapol for not taking the matter seriously.

In an attempt to retaliate against Cobra, Wapol intentionally struck Cobra's ten-year-old daughter, Vivi, and feigned it as an accident. However, Vivi's mature response was to apologize to Wapol, refusing to escalate the situation. Despite his cruel actions, Wapol achieved no satisfaction and left the incident behind, returning to Drum without achieving his intended revenge.

One year later, Wapol devised a scheme to trap Dr. Hiriluk by spreading false rumors that the Isshi-20 doctors were gravely ill. He anticipated that Hiriluk would fall into this trap and foolishly attempt to save them. As expected, Hiriluk responded to the news, prompting Wapol to boastfully announce to the doctor that he had been deceived upon his arrival at Wapol's castle.

Following Dr. Hiriluk's selfless act of sacrificing himself to bring hope and inspiration to the people of Drum Island, Wapol remained utterly unmoved and callously laughed at the doctor's death. This heartless reaction to such a selfless act of bravery showcased Wapol's cruelty and disregard for the well-being and aspirations of his subjects.

However, Wapol's laughter provoked the wrath of a young reindeer named Chopper, who had recently consumed the Human-Human Fruit, granting him the ability to transform into a human. Enraged by Wapol's heartlessness, Chopper entered Heavy Point, a powerful transformation that increased his size and strength, and attempted to attack Wapol. Dalton, who had witnessed Hiriluk's final moments, intervened to prevent Chopper from causing harm to himself. Dalton managed to convince Chopper to abandon his aggressive pursuit of revenge.

This confrontation led to Dalton openly opposing Wapol's tyranny. He confronted Wapol about the cruelty and oppression he and his government had subjected the country to. Dalton emphasized that no matter how advanced their medical skills were, there was no cure for Wapol's own foolishness and heartlessness. This bold act of insubordination infuriated Wapol, leading him to transform into a massive form composed of various weapons, overpower Dalton, and imprison him for a week.

Wapol's oppressive rule continued to plague Drum Island until the arrival of the Blackbeard Pirates, who posed a significant threat to the kingdom. Realizing their inability to contend with these powerful pirates, Wapol and his loyalists made the cowardly decision to abandon the country and flee on the Bliking. This left Dalton and the courageous people of Drum Island to confront the Blackbeard Pirates alone, while Wapol and his followers disguised themselves as pirates and embarked on a journey across the seas in search of a new refuge.

Drum Island Arc

Upon his return to Drum Island, Wapol encountered the Straw Hat Pirates aboard the Going Merry. Initially, he attempted to obtain information about Drum Island from them, particularly if they possessed an Eternal Pose to the island, but the Straw Hats were unaware of the location and had no such device. Frustrated by their lack of usefulness, Wapol decided to loot any treasure they might have on board.

However, rather than finding easy prey, Wapol soon faced resistance from the Straw Hats. Luffy, in particular, confronted Wapol directly. In a bizarre turn of events, Wapol retaliated by attempting to consume Luffy whole, given his ability to consume anything using his Baku Baku no Mi powers. Despite Wapol's attempts to devour him, Luffy's rubbery body made it difficult for Wapol to chew him, and Luffy fought back by striking Wapol from within, forcing him to spit him out. This resulted in Wapol being catapulted into the open sea, though his men managed to rescue him.

After escaping from Luffy's counterattack, Wapol and his crew continued their journey to return to Drum Island. They eventually reached the island and encountered some resistance from the citizens guarding the entrance. Wapol swiftly overcame this resistance, and he planned to resume his rule from his castle aboard Robson.

However, Wapol received news that the Straw Hat Pirates had also landed on Drum Island and were headed to his castle, where Dr. Kureha had taken up residence. Enraged by their interference, Wapol and his men decided to confront the Straw Hats in the town of Big Horn, where they planned to retaliate against Luffy and Dr. Kureha.

In Big Horn, Wapol and his crew seized control of the town and even began to consume parts of it. Learning that the Straw Hats were en route to his castle, Wapol set his sights on exacting revenge against Luffy and Kureha. Nevertheless, his plans were disrupted when he was confronted by his former Captain of the Guard, Dalton, who had defied Wapol's rule and was determined to protect Drum Island.

Wapol, angered by Dalton's actions, ordered his men to execute him, but Dalton, using his Zoan-type Devil Fruit powers, managed to evade most of the attackers. However, Chess, Wapol's Minister of Defense, took advantage of the situation by targeting villagers who attempted to aid Dalton. In a courageous and selfless act, Dalton stepped in to shield the villagers from Chess's arrows, ultimately getting hit. This grim turn of events amused Wapol, but the situation took an unexpected twist when an avalanche from Drum Peak began descending upon Big Horn.

Upon encountering the avalanche on Drum Island, Wapol attempted to escape the disaster by boarding his giant bird, Robson, along with Chess and Kuromarimo, abandoning most of his men to their fate. However, the trio couldn't evade the avalanche in time and were buried under tons of snow. Wapol, using his Baku Baku no Mi powers, managed to chew his way out of the snow and accidentally spat out Chess and Kuromarimo, whom he had swallowed along with the snow.

Furious about the situation, Wapol assumed that the avalanche was orchestrated by the Straw Hat Pirates. He and his cohorts rushed up the mountain on Robson, eventually catching up with Luffy. However, despite his anger, Wapol was completely ignored by Luffy, who was preoccupied with the ongoing crisis involving Sanji and Nami.

In response to being ignored, Wapol established a new law that decreed anyone who ignored the king would be put to death. He then ordered Chess and Kuromarimo to attack Luffy and the Straw Hats he was carrying. Together with his cohorts, Wapol attempted to obstruct Luffy, but the agile pirate was able to evade their attacks and protect Sanji and Nami. During the confrontation, Lapahns, giant rabbits native to the island, came to Luffy's aid and blocked Wapol and his men's path, allowing Luffy to escape.

After defeating the Lapahns, Wapol and his cohorts proceeded toward his castle atop Drum Peak, using Robson to scale the cliffs. Upon reaching the castle, Wapol was met by Kureha and Chopper, who informed him that his reign was over, and the kingdom had changed. Luffy, who had replaced Wapol's flag with a pirate flag, confronted him and punched him in the face.

Determined to regain his throne, Wapol sent Chess and Kuromarimo to engage Sanji and Chopper. During the battle, Wapol swallowed Chopper as the reindeer approached Chess. However, Luffy intervened, striking Wapol in the stomach, which caused him to spit out Chopper. The force of the blow also sent Wapol flying, and he inadvertently launched Robson away from his castle.

After being punched by Luffy and losing his initial battle, Wapol decided to showcase the power of his Baku Baku no Mi Devil Fruit. He instructed Chess to inform his opponents about what he had recently consumed. Chess followed the order and revealed the various items Wapol had eaten. Wapol then demonstrated his ability to combine and transform into different forms using the things he had consumed. In this case, he transformed into a house-like structure with cannons for arms. He proceeded to devour both Chess and Kuromarimo, then merged them into a new composite being called Chessmarimo, which emerged from a door in the middle of Wapol's stomach.

Wapol, now in his new form, aimed to shoot down the pirate flag that had replaced his own atop his castle, finding it repulsive. However, this act provoked Chopper's anger, and the reindeer-human hybrid confronted Wapol. Chopper, after hesitating for a moment, asked Wapol to leave Drum Island. Seizing this moment of hesitation, Wapol shot Chopper away from him. He then noticed that Luffy had restored the pirate flag to its place.

Luffy, holding the flag pole with a part of his jacket, confronted Wapol and criticized him and his men as frauds who didn't understand the true meaning of the flag. Undeterred, Wapol attempted to shoot Luffy down along with the flag, but Luffy stood his ground and held the flag aloft. Despite Wapol's disbelief, he prepared to shoot again. However, just before he could, Chopper attacked Wapol. Chessmarimo intervened to protect their master, proclaiming their intention to defeat Chopper.

While Wapol prepared to face Luffy and Chessmarimo took on Chopper, Luffy became engrossed in watching Chopper's battle. During this momentary distraction, Wapol seized the opportunity to sneak back into his castle unnoticed. Inside, he encountered Nami and decided to attack her. However, his rotund body got stuck in a stairway passage. To free himself, Wapol used his Baku Baku no Mi powers to devour his entire body, leaving only his lower jaw.

In this altered form, resembling a slimmer and taller version of himself, Wapol resumed his pursuit of Nami. Just as he was about to capture her, Luffy arrived and delivered a powerful kick to Wapol's face.

After getting back on his feet, Wapol attempted a desperate move. He tried to consume all the weapons stored in his massive armory to transform himself into a super-weapon capable of fighting against Luffy. However, Nami had managed to steal the key to the armory from Wapol when he caught her earlier, preventing him from accessing the weapons. Realizing he couldn't open the armory, Wapol decided to retreat from Luffy and make his way to his trump card, the Royal Drum Crown 7-Shot Bliking Cannon, located high within his castle.

Upon reaching the cannon and preparing to fire it at Luffy, Wapol encountered an unexpected problem. The cannon had been abandoned and unmaintained for so long that it had become home to a bird's nest, which had clogged up the firing mechanism. Infuriated by this unforeseen obstacle, Wapol yelled at the bird living in the cannon. However, before he could resolve the issue, Luffy grabbed onto Wapol's lower jaw with his hand.

Wapol threatened Luffy, stating that what he was doing was an international crime since Drum Island was a part of the World Government. Unfazed by the threat, Luffy maintained his grip on Wapol's jaw. Wapol retaliated by trying to swallow Luffy whole, but Luffy's rubbery body stretched as he held onto Wapol's mouth. Wapol then transformed his tongue into a cannon and fired it at Luffy, causing an explosion that created a hole in his tower. However, to Wapol's surprise, Luffy suddenly appeared from behind him.

Luffy latched onto Wapol and used his Gomu Gomu no Bow Gun technique to catapult him up to the roof of the castle. Wapol found himself lodged at the very tip of the roof, right before Hiriluk's pirate flag. Luffy joined him on the roof, preparing to finish the battle.

As Luffy readied his Gomu Gomu no Bazooka attack to send Wapol flying off the roof, Wapol desperately pleaded with him to spare his life. He offered various rewards, including a position in his government and the title of "Vice-King" of Drum. However, Luffy completely ignored Wapol's pleas and sent him flying far away from Drum Island with a powerful punch. This marked the end of Wapol's reign and tyranny over Drum Island.

Wapol's Omnivorous Hurrah

After being exiled from Drum Island for the second time, Wapol embarked on a gluttonous adventure in the Grand Line, indulging in his insatiable appetite. He feasted on various objects, from lamps to benches, and transformed into these objects to eat even more. Towns and their structures became his desserts, and he reveled in causing chaos and misfortune wherever he went.

However, his reckless actions eventually drew the attention of the Marines, who arrested him without recognizing him as a former king. This revelation shocked Wapol and marked the end of his delinquent eating spree. He managed to escape from his captors and came to a grim realization that he was no longer a king.

Deeply depressed and homeless, Wapol's only companion was a dog that constantly peed on him. He attempted to make a living by selling matches but was met with cruelty and rejection. With nowhere else to turn, Wapol settled under a bridge and survived by eating the garbage around him.

During this bleak period, Wapol inadvertently created strange toys using his Baku Baku Factory technique, including a toy made from the dog that had been tormenting him. These toys began to attract children, and Wapol saw an opportunity to make a living. He set up a shop to sell these peculiar toys and quickly found success.

As his toy business flourished, scientists discovered a valuable secret within Wapol's creations: a new type of steel known as Wapometal. This discovery made headlines, and Wapol became a celebrity overnight. With the newfound attention, he expanded his toy business into a thriving industry and established the Wapol Konzern, with himself as the CEO.

Wapol's wealth and hard work eventually led him to marry Miss Universe. With his googly-eyed, box-headed dog Hakowan and his wife, he regained his status as a world-famous figure and became even wealthier than he had been during his reign as king.

From the Decks of the World

During the timeskip, the World Nobles recognized his success and appointed him as the ruler of a new kingdom, the sinister Black Drum Kingdom. He remained married to Miss Universe, and his loyal dog, which had been with him since his days of poverty, continued to be by his side.

Zou Arc

Upon learning that Dalton would be attending the Levely, he began scheming about how to take down his old rival.

Levely Arc

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

When Wapol arrived at Mary Geoise for the Levely, he couldn't resist causing trouble. He insulted Vivi but was quickly confronted by Dalton, who intimidated him and drove him away.

During the Levely, Wapol witnessed the chaos that ensued when Charlos tried to take Shirahoshi by force. He kept his distance and was surprised to see Donquixote Mjosgard stepping in to protect Shirahoshi.

Wapol eventually joined the other kings and queens in the conference room to commence the Levely. With a wicked grin directed at Dalton, it was clear that his devious plans were far from over.

One Piece: Stampede (Non-Canon)

Wapol makes an appearance at the Pirates Festival, where he and his Bliking Pirates are in search of Gol D. Roger's treasure. During the festival, when Donald Moderate is naming some of the participants, Wapol becomes angry that he hasn't been named as well.

As the festival progresses and the Marines launch an attack on the island, Wapol finds himself in a difficult situation. He ends up pleading for help from the Straw Hat Pirates.

Wano Country Arc

Wapol surreptitiously spied on the meeting between the Five Elders and Nefertari Cobra through a hole in a wall. Unintentionally, he discovered the existence of Imu and witnessed Cobra's murder. Realizing the danger of possessing this knowledge, Wapol hastily began running away, demolishing walls in his path as he escaped Pangaea Castle.

In the course of his escape, Wapol accidentally entered a guest room where Nefertari Vivi was being held captive by CP0. Vivi used this opportunity to jump into Wapol's mouth and escape alongside him. Kinderella, Wapol's wife, encountered them during their escape and mistakenly believed that the two were eloping.

After the Levely concluded, Wapol and Vivi stowed away on the ship belonging to the Eigis Kingdom. Wapol then contacted the president of the World Economy News Paper, Morgans, offering him valuable information. Morgans agreed to meet with Wapol under the pretext of a news scoop, allowing Wapol to sneak aboard his ship.

However, when Vivi asked Wapol to share what he had witnessed at the Reverie and requested to use his Den Den Mushi to contact her father, Wapol refused both requests. He warned Vivi against contacting her father, stating that it would be the worst course of action.

Egghead Arc

Wapol, along with Vivi and Morgans, went into hiding, seeking refuge inside Morgans' balloon. Wapol displayed considerable anxiety regarding the possibility of the World Government discovering their location. He urged Vivi to remain quiet to avoid alerting any potential Den Den Mushi hidden on the balloon.

Later, while eavesdropping with Morgans and Vivi on a call from Egghead to Mary Geoise involving York and the Five Elders, Wapol was visibly shocked to hear Luffy's voice on the call. Luffy was holding York hostage and making demands to the Five Elders, which surprised Wapol and the others who were listening in.

Wapol’s Personality

Wapol is depicted as a spoiled and corrupt ruler who ruled over Drum Island solely to satisfy his own desires and ambitions. His reign was marked by brutality, as he brutally beat anyone who dared to oppose him or question his authority.

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

One of Wapol's defining traits is his gluttony, which he takes to the extreme. He is constantly eating, often causing massive collateral damage to cities and even getting arrested for his destructive eating habits. His insatiable appetite is further highlighted by his Devil Fruit powers, which allow him to consume almost anything he desires.

Despite his childish and comedic demeanor at times, Wapol is not foolish. He possesses a level of cunning and manipulation, as demonstrated when he saw through Nami's lies and devised cruel and corrupt methods to control his subjects, particularly in the medical profession.

Wapol's cruelty extends to his willingness to use cannibalism, as seen when he attempted to eat Luffy and expressed his intention to eat Doctor Kureha.

While he may appear foolish and comical on the surface, Wapol is not to be underestimated. He understands the consequences of defying powerful entities like the World Government and the World Nobles, and he can be cautious when the situation demands it.

Despite his negative traits, Wapol has shown moments of fear and concern, especially when faced with the consequences of his actions or when confronted with the potential dangers of the world.

Wapol’s Appearance

Wapol has dark violet hair and a cylindrical jaw made of tin plates, earning him the nickname "Tin-Plate Wapol." During the Drum Island arc, he wore tin-plate armor, a hooded cape made from White Walkie skin, and brown thick gloves. His outfit consisted of purple and orange woolen shorts, a brown belt, and thick short boots.

After the timeskip, Wapol, as the monarch of the Black Drum Kingdom, sported a different look. He wore a shirt with a skirt featuring a black pattern. His footwear included black sharp, pointy sandals, and he still donned his hooded cape and black gloves. His hair turned white, and he grew a black mustache and goatee.

Wapol’s Abilities

Wapol, as the king of the Black Drum Kingdom, wielded full authority over his kingdom and its citizens. He also had the privilege of attending Levely. He had previously held a similar position on Drum Island before he fled and was eventually dethroned.

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Wapol demonstrated considerable cunning throughout his various schemes. He devised strategies to subjugate his country and devised another to capture Dr. Hiriluk by exploiting his personality. During his final confrontation with Luffy and Chopper, Wapol brainstormed several ideas to gain an advantage, such as merging his two servants and utilizing his castle's super cannon. Additionally, he proved to be a skilled businessman, unintentionally establishing a highly successful toy enterprise based on a metal he discovered, amassing even greater wealth than during his reign over the Drum Kingdom.

This achievement earned him recognition from the World Nobles, who granted him a new kingdom. Wapol also exhibited keen observation skills and a strong sense of danger; he secretly discovered Cobra's assassination after learning about Imu's existence and promptly fled, anticipating his implication and assassination by the Five Elders. He reached out to Morgans, recognizing that the famous journalist's connections were his best chance of escaping the clutches of the World Government.

In terms of combat, Wapol lacked experience and primarily relied on his henchmen for such tasks. During his time as a pirate, he and his crew managed to survive the treacherous waters of the Grand Line. In his role as king, Wapol and his cabinet successfully subdued an entire nation, and he easily defeated Dalton in his "ultimate form."

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

However, it's worth noting that Wapol did not have the opportunity to use this ultimate form during his battle with Luffy because Nami had stolen the key to the armory where the weapons necessary for this transformation were kept. Despite his obesity, Wapol exhibited impressive durability, swiftly recovering after taking hits like Dalton's sword strike and consecutive punches to the face from Luffy. He could also become quite agile after employing the slim Wapol technique.

Furthermore, Wapol possessed the Royal Drum Crown 7-Shot Bliking Cannon, which he intended to use against Monkey D. Luffy. However, he faced difficulties getting the cannon to function due to the freezing conditions and the cannon barrels becoming a nesting spot for Snow Birds.

Devil Fruit

Wapol possesses the powers of the Baku Baku no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants him unique abilities related to eating and assimilating objects into his body. He can expand his mouth to an extraordinary size, allowing him to consume virtually anything, including objects, weapons, or even people.

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

After eating something, he can transform parts of his body to replicate the characteristics and functions of the ingested item, which can include shooting projectiles or using various abilities related to the consumed objects. He can use multiple manifestations simultaneously, allowing for versatile combat tactics. Additionally, he can reconfigure ingested objects in his belly and regurgitate them as something entirely new, inventing novel materials like Wapometal, a shape-memory steel.

Furthermore, he can devour and "combine" individuals whole into his body, merging them into a single, more powerful warrior. Wapol can even self-modify by devouring parts of his own body, temporarily altering himself for combat, enhancing his physical abilities and combat prowess. These abilities make him a formidable opponent with a unique fighting style, adapting to various situations by incorporating objects and individuals into his body to create a wide range of combat techniques and strategies.

Wapol’s Relationships

Family

Wapol's Father

Wapol's father was a just and beloved king who genuinely cared for the well-being of his people. He hoped to raise Wapol into a kind and caring king like himself but failed in that endeavor. It is implied that he spoiled Wapol during his childhood, contributing to Wapol's terrible personality as an adult.

Musshuru

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Musshuru is Wapol's older brother, as seen in the non-canonical ninth One Piece movie. While Wapol acts submissive around Musshuru, in reality, he doesn't have much respect for him. Wapol views Musshuru as an inconvenience and a tool for his own plans in the movie. He goes to extreme lengths, including eating Musshuru, to gain his brother's Devil Fruit powers and become stronger.

Kinderella

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Kinderella is Wapol's wife, and they married after Wapol became successful in the toy-making business. They lived a luxurious life together. However, when Wapol was forced to flee during the Levely after witnessing a murder, Kinderella mistakenly believed that he was eloping with someone else.

Crew

Wapol had a significant number of soldiers under his command, but the two individuals he was closest to were his counselors, Chess and Kuromarimo. Both Chess and Kuromarimo were highly loyal to Wapol. Chess was responsible for drafting new laws under Wapol's rule.

Wapol also had a creature named Robson, a White Walkie, or Wooly Hippo, in his possession. Robson was unhappy with Wapol for killing some of his brothers but served as Wapol's personal transport.

Before his exile, Wapol initiated a "Doctor Hunt" throughout the nation. His goal was to force every doctor, except for his Isshi-20, to leave the kingdom, making the citizens dependent on him for medical attention and thus under his control. The Isshi-20, although loyal to Wapol, secretly despised him like the rest of the people. They hoped to use their research and medical techniques to help their compatriots. When Wapol fled the kingdom, he took the Isshi-20 with him.

Levely

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Wapol's egotistical and self-centered nature is prominently displayed at the Levely. He believes himself to be the most important person in his kingdom and shows no interest in global political events that don't directly impact his country.

This attitude, coupled with his lack of diplomatic skills, made him unpopular among the other leaders at the Levely. Nefertari Cobra scolded Wapol for his indifference to world affairs, leading to a heated argument and Wapol storming out of the event. His spiteful act towards Princess Vivi further highlighted his selfish behavior.

Years later, Wapol's sole reason for attending the Levely was to take down Dalton, demonstrating his fixation on personal grudges. Despite his dislike for Cobra, he was horrified to witness Cobra's death at the hands of Imu and the Five Elders, leaving him unable to celebrate due to the shocking secrets of the World Government.

World Government

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Wapol was initially blindly loyal to the World Government, believing they would protect his kingdom from any harm, even from the actions of the Revolutionary Army. This loyalty deepened after he was ousted from his throne and became a successful toy company CEO. In recognition of his achievements, the World Nobles granted him a new kingdom, further strengthening his loyalty to the organization.

However, this relationship took a dark turn when Wapol witnessed one of the World Government's greatest secrets: the Empty Throne being occupied by the enigmatic Imu. Witnessing King Cobra's murder by Imu and the Five Elders, he knew that the World Government would stop at nothing to silence him. Fearing for his life, Wapol fled Mary Geoise and became a fugitive, severing his ties with the World Government.

Enemies

Dalton

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Dalton was once a loyal servant of King Wapol, obeying his orders out of allegiance. However, Dalton's conscience led him to reject Wapol's authority, and he no longer served as Wapol's guard. After Wapol fled Drum Island, Dalton developed a deep hatred for his former king and refused to let him revert Drum Island to its previous state.

Two years later, Wapol still harbored negative feelings towards Dalton and intended to take him down at the Levely. Their reunion at Mary Geoise was tense, with Dalton asserting their newfound equality.

Hiriluk

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

Wapol saw Dr. Hiriluk as one of the main threats to his control over the Drum Kingdom during the Doctor Hunt. Despite Hiriluk being considered a quack, Wapol viewed him as a threat. When Hiriluk committed suicide, Wapol, along with his loyal subordinates Chess and Kuromarimo, callously laughed at the doctor's demise, showing no respect for him.

Straw Hat Pirates

Wapol in One Piece.
Still from the anime.

The Straw Hat Pirates first encountered the Bliking Pirates at sea, where they ambushed the Straw Hats using their submersible ship. However, when Wapol attempted to eat Luffy, he was knocked into the ocean, forcing the rest of his crew to abandon him and rescue him from drowning.

Dalton, who was trying to establish a new government on Drum Island, helped the Straw Hats find a doctor for a sick Nami. Later, after tracking the Straw Hats for revenge, Wapol and his crew returned to Drum Island, where he aimed to reclaim his throne. However, he was ultimately defeated by Luffy and Chopper.

After the timeskip, Wapol did not seem to hold a grudge against Luffy, acknowledging that Luffy's actions allowed him to regain power and establish a new kingdom.
