Daifuku is one of the children born to Charlotte Linlin, also known as Big Mom, and he is part of a set of triplets along with Katakuri and Oven, with Daifuku being the middle child among them.

During their childhood, Daifuku and his triplet brothers shared a fondness for eating donuts together, reflecting their love for sweets, which is a characteristic trait of the Charlotte Family.

Whole Cake Island Arc

Daifuku was a part of Big Mom's Tea Party and attended the wedding between Charlotte Pudding and Sanji. His main mission, along with some of his siblings, was to sit discreetly behind the Vinsmoke Family and await the right moment to assassinate them.

As chaos erupted when Monkey D. Luffy started causing trouble at the wedding venue, Daifuku witnessed Jinbe formally resigning from the Big Mom Pirates.

Things took a dramatic turn when the wedding cake collapsed, and Brook destroyed a cherished picture of Mother Carmel. Pudding, in her moment of hesitation, attempted to shoot Sanji, but Sanji impressively dodged all her shots.

Daifuku then stepped in and summoned a genie. He not only scolded Pudding for failing in her task but also attacked Sanji with the powerful genie.

Daifuku managed to pin Sanji down using his genie's formidable strength. However, just as things seemed dire for Sanji, Luffy's actions led to Big Mom's strange scream, immobilizing Daifuku and preventing him from stopping Sanji from freeing his family.

Sometime later, Daifuku received earplugs from his brother Katakuri, which were essential to counteract Big Mom's devastating screams. He rose to confront the Straw Hat and Fire Tank Alliance once more.

In one particular encounter, Daifuku's genie attempted to capture Carrot as Bege's allies were retreating into his fortress. Still, Vinsmoke Yonji intervened and repelled the genie.

As tensions escalated and the Straw Hat Pirates, Fire Tank Pirates, and Vinsmoke Family sought refuge inside Bege's fortress, Daifuku urged his comrades not to let a single enemy escape. When Big Mom's crew attacked, the Vinsmoke Family defended themselves by blocking a volley of bullets with their capes.

Caesar Clown tried to escape with Bege while Luffy, Sanji, and the Vinsmoke Family squared off against the Big Mom Pirates. During this skirmish, Daifuku, along with Galette and Smoothie, managed to subdue Luffy, Sanji, and Reiju as they were retreating.

However, their confrontation was interrupted when the Tamatebako, a treasure chest, plummeted to the base of the Whole Cake Chateau and exploded, leading to the collapse of the castle.

When the Whole Cake Chateau miraculously transformed into cake, thanks to Streusen's powers, it was a lifesaver for the Big Mom Pirates. However, this unexpected turn of events allowed the Straw Hats, Fire Tank Pirates, and Vinsmokes to make their escape.

Daifuku took charge and organized two pursuit teams. Their mission was to track down and capture the fleeing groups.

Inside the Big Mom Pirates' ranks, panic ensued as Big Mom developed an insatiable craving for the wedding cake. This was a major concern for the crew. To distract Big Mom from pursuing the escaping enemies, Pudding devised a plan to fulfill her craving.

Daifuku, like other crew members, found refuge in the Mirro-World, a magical mirror dimension, while awaiting further orders.

To prevent their enemies from getting away, the Big Mom Pirates, including Daifuku and Smoothie, assembled a formidable fleet.

When the two fleets confronted the enemy crew, Carrot unleashed her incredible Sulong form, a state of enhanced power and agility. She targeted Daifuku's ship, swiftly defeating his crewmates and even destroying the ship's helm, rendering it unmanageable.

Furious at Carrot's actions, Daifuku summoned his powerful genie to attack her. However, Carrot's agility allowed her to dodge the genie's strikes, leading to unintended collateral damage as it destroyed several of Daifuku's own ships.

Daifuku's ship was left immobilized. He watched from a distance as Big Mom attacked the Thousand Sunny, and he was truly surprised when Jinbe managed to send Big Mom flying off the ship.

Following the diversion created by the Fire Tank Pirates, Daifuku moved onto Smoothie's ship to continue the pursuit of the Straw Hats. However, they faced resistance from Germa 66 on Cacao Island. Daifuku commented that Mont-d'Or had been outsmarted, but his younger sister reminded him that he too had faced setbacks. Daifuku implied that he had managed to catch up.

As the Thousand Sunny sailed away from Cacao Island after Luffy and Sanji returned to it, Daifuku used his much larger genie to attack Carrot, who was on the Sunny's mast. However, Sanji intervened and blocked the genie's attacks.

The arrival of the Sun Pirates changed the situation. They prevented Smoothie's ship from moving, which stopped Daifuku from attacking the Sunny any further.

Later, when Queen Mama Chanter attacked the Thousand Sunny, Daifuku was confused when he realized that it was the Sun Pirates' ship that had been destroyed. After the Straw Hats managed to escape, the Big Mom Pirates were later joined by Big Mom when she arrived on the island.

Wano Country Arc

When Big Mom attempted to infiltrate Wano, Daifuku joined his mother and crew on the Queen Mama Chanter as they tried to scale the waterfall into the country. Kaido's forces, however, attacked their ship to prevent them from reaching Wano.

Daifuku used his genie to deflect the enemy's cannonfire. But just as they were nearing the top of the waterfall, King, one of Kaido's top commanders, launched an attack that caused the ship to fall from the waterfall, plunging Big Mom into the sea.

On the seas near Wano, Daifuku realized that with King guarding the skies, the Big Mom Pirates would have a difficult time entering Wano. There was a dispute within the crew about who should become the new captain if Big Mom were to die.

Perospero claimed that as the eldest son, he should be the new captain, but Daifuku strongly disagreed. He argued that the position should go to Katakuri, considering him the strongest among them.

As time passed, the crew learned about Big Mom's newfound alliance with Kaido. On the day of the Fire Festival, the Big Mom Pirates made another attempt to climb the waterfall and enter Wano, but their efforts were thwarted once more, this time by Marco.

Charlotte Daifuku’s Personality

Daifuku's personality is best described as abrasive and violent. He is intensely focused on defeating his enemies quickly, and he becomes easily enraged when they manage to escape his grasp.

His commitment to his goals is so strong that he appears to have little regard for the safety of his own crew members, as demonstrated when he allowed his genie to destroy his own fleet's ships while pursuing a target.

He is not hesitant to resort to physical and verbal abuse towards those he deems as failing or obstructing his objectives, even if they are members of his own family, such as when he struck his sister Pudding for her failure to kill Sanji. This behavior suggests a lack of empathy and a ruthless determination to achieve his goals.

Daifuku places a significant emphasis on strength within the crew hierarchy, advocating for someone as powerful as Katakuri to lead the crew in the event of Big Mom's unforeseen demise. He has confidence in his own abilities, particularly his Devil Fruit powers, and is willing to take direct action when he deems it necessary, as seen in his decision to eliminate Sanji with his genie and to sink the Thousand Sunny.

However, despite his abrasive and cruel demeanor, Daifuku does show a degree of care and concern for his family and Totto Land as a whole. He becomes visibly shocked when Big Mom experiences a craving illness and expresses worry about stopping her rampage. Additionally, he maintains positive relationships with his brothers.
